Leo got into the passenger seat and buckled up, though he couldn't help but become curious about what was going on. He reached over and touched Chase's arm but it felt like someone stabbed the back of his brain with a needle and he couldn't see anything. "Ow....I don't think she'll let me see anything. I hope they're all okay." he said softly, anxiously awaiting their voices.

Wasting not another moment, Chase quickly drove toward Samuel's workplace, keeping an eye out for the others. They soon got to the restaurant, but there were police cars surrounding the area. "I don't like the looks of this," he muttered, parking quickly and getting out of the car. He saw the building suddenly lit up and a colored flame was visible through the windows. He knew that flame anywhere. "It's Cherry! Leo, stay here! No matter what, don't get out!" With that, Chase closed the door and locked the car, rushing into the building before the policemen around could stop him.

Leo wasn't even sure which way was up at the moment, everything was happening so fast and he wasn't sure what to do. Chase didn't even leave enough time for him to respond before he heard the clicking of the locks. Leo didn't care about what Chase said, he was more concerned about his friends. He felt around for any buttons or tabs, once he pushed the right button, he heard the doors unlock and came out of the car. He could hear the bustling of police talking to each other but he didn't care. Leo slowly walked to the sidewalk so he wouldn't fall on the curb but he didn't even make it to the curb before he felt the heat from the fire. Leo stopped dead in his tracks and stopped breathing for a moment as the flood of memories came rushing back. There was so much going on in his brain, he couldn't control it all. Leo closed his eyes and rubbed them a little but when he opened his eyes he could see the ground. Leo saw the ground and his feet. He would have been utterly surprised and overjoyed if the situation were different. Leo looked up and saw the restaurant engulfed in flames, the bright red and orange hurt his eyes but he didn't care. He shoved his way between a couple of officers and rushed right into the building, coughing at the smoke at first before he covered his mouth with his shirt. "Chase!!! Cherry!!!" he called as loud as he could, he needed to find his friends before his sight would be taken from him again.

It had been a battle. Masked men were shooting at the twins who were trying desperately to dodge the bullets and shoot them back. There were just too many, Cherry was already exhausted, and Chase knew he couldn't handle the situation alone if his sister were to collapse. They had to either finish this quickly or hope some reinforcement came. The restaurant was empty of just about everyone, but Samuel and Sasha were left lying on the floor, unconscious. Chase could only hope that there were no bullets in their bodies.
Upon hearing Leo's voice, Chase's first reaction was to scold the boy for following him into the restaurant, but he didn't have time to. It seemed one of the men found a new target and immediately shot at Leo. That had been the last straw. With a fierce cry, Chase rushed at the man and sent him barreling into a pole that was much too unstable, sending the roof crashing and burying him under burning rubble. The others, like the cowards they were, had decided to give up right then and run away, leaving their comrade to die.It was a victory won, but there was no time to celebrate. They had to escape this burning building and make sure the policemen didn't discover them. Lifting up Sasha, Cherry had to cough before she spoke. "Chase! Get Sam and Leo out of here!" she shouted before rushing to the nearest exit.Chase lifted Samuel over his shoulder and went to search for Leo. The roof was already falling in pieces and they would be buried alive if they didn't leave soon. "Leo! Leo, where are you?!"

Leo could hear shots being fired but he was too busy looking in every direction for them except for turning around to see the shooters right behind him. Leo didn't notice that two of those bullets were shot right at him, one clipped his ear and the other went right through his left arm. He collapsed to his knees and screamed in agony, holding his arm to stop the bleeding. Even though Leo could see for this point in time he still couldn't see Chase or anyone else. He was getting scared, trembling violently all over his body to the point where even his walk was staggered. "Chase!!!" he called back, hearing the man's voice faintly until a little smoke cleared out just enough for him to see Chase with something on his shoulders. Leo ran for Chase while the path was still clear. He took his shirt off and grabbed one of the metal chairs nearby, throwing it at the window which was brittle enough to shatter it. Leo grabbed Chase's arm with his bloodied hand and dragged him toward the window and outside. Leo didn't take his hand off Chase until they reached the other side of the police cars and then the whole building collapsed in a blazing inferno. Leo finally let go of Chase's arm and returned it back to his own throbbing wound, wishing the pain to go away. "Is everyone okay?" He asked with a strained voice.

Chase had been so relieved when Leo ran to him, but his mind had been thrown into a whirlpool of confusion when the boy grabbed a chair and threw it ay a window. Once they were out and away, he took a breath or fresh air and set Samuel down on the ground. "I would assume so, but one of the bad guys is probably dead in that building," he replied, and then he saw Leo's arm and ear. "Leo, you've been shot?!" He grabbed the arm and began looking for the wound. If the bullet was there, he would need to get it out. "Sheesh! I told you to stay in the car! We don't need another person in the hospital."

Leo was glad to hear about the others but was quickly sidetracked by the sudden immense pain in his arm and let out a cry when Chase grabbed it. Leo spun around and took Chase's hand off his arm quickly, seeing Chase's face for the first time. "I'm alright, I don't think the bullet is still in my arm." he said in a shaky voice as the rest of his body trembled. "I-I know you did....I'm sorry, I just thought I could help." he said, the words bringing tears to his eyes though he wasn't sure if they were from the pain or from the joy of being able to see again. "I...I can see though."

Now there was the more confusing part. "You can see? What do you mean by that?" Chase asked. He then realized that Leo was looking directly at him and not in his general direction. "You can really see?" He moved his head to see if Leo's pupils followed. If what the boy said was true, he wanted to know how that came about and how long it would last. A case like this has never bappened before, as far as he knew.

Leo was growing a little irritated. "I mean...I can see. You have blonde hair and green eyes." he said as he watched the man move from side to side. "I'll explain it later, we need to get the paramedics over here to look at them." he said, more worried about the health of his friends than his two bullet wounds. Leo was just glad that the bullets didn't hit anything vital.

Chase would have been excited that Leo did have his sight back, but the mention of paramedics caused him to freeze. "I don't know if that's a good idea right now. What if they want us to go to the hospital? We don't need more people in the hospital," he said, quickly beginning to check Samuel for any bullet wounds. There were a few, but they were nothing too serious.

Leo could see the wounds on his friends and could have gone right into a panic attack but he tried his hardest to keep it together. "If your magic can heal these wounds then lets get these guys into the car and go home. They need their rest." he said softly. Leo was just about to pass out from the pain, it was unbearable.

"I would, but Cherry and Sasha aren't here," Chase pointed out, now searching his surroundings. "I can't do a complete healing without my sister. I can only numb pain for a while." He turned his attention to Leo's arm. "I'll help you first. You look like you're having it rough."

Leo saw Chase's hands moving toward him and smacked them away. "Not yet...I can wait. What are we going to do? We can't just sit here and wait for them!" he exclaimed before he heard the sirens of firefighters and then the rumble of news vans. "s**t, I'm going to need to hide in the car. If Ash finds out I was in this mess he'll kill me!"

"That is why I told you to stay there," Chase said, rolling his eyes as he picked up Samuel again. With his free hand, he grabbed Leo's uninjured arm and tried to pull him to the car. "I guess you'll have to stay there with Sam while I look for Cherry and Sasha. Who knows? They might already be there."
