Never Again...Matt's scent led down the hallway and seemed to abruptly end. The sound of footsteps could be heard coming, though they were much too heavy for Matt's. Nor were they running. After a few more steps Herald rounded the corner and turned to see Emma. Apparently he had been looking for her. "Emma..." he said. He face was a frown but it wasn't that of anger. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma frowned slightly as Matt's scent faded. "Weird..." she muttered as she looked around. Her ears twitched as she heard someone else. She knew who it was even before Herald rounded the corner. She stared at him for a moment before looking away "What?" she asked. ☾

Never Again...Herald took a few steps forward until he was just out of arms reach. He was quiet for a moment. "Emma...I'm sorry," he managed slowly. "I didn't mean to say those things." He was quiet for a moment longer. "I don't think you deserve what you suffered. I just want...to win. Against The Reaver. After what he did to you. I can't stand not being strong enough to defeat him..." he paused, seeming to want to say more but not sure how to put it into words. Will I be bound in chains

Never Again...Herald was silent for another moment before he shrugged. "If there's another way....I don't know it," he answered honestly. "But I...I'd rather have met you then become stronger," he told her honestly. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma smiled and wrapped her arms around Herald's neck before kissing him back. After a few moments of doing that, she stopped and glanced around, sniffing around for any signs of the boy she met. It was odd that he seemed to just disappear. ☾

Never Again...Herald frowned in concern when he heard Emma. "Are you sure you saw him? You talked to him?" He closed his eyes for a moment, using his soul perception to sense if there was anything around him. "I don't sense anything," he told her after a moment, opening his eyes again. "It's not possible for someone to enter my realm without knowing about it, never mind being able to walk around in it." He paused for a moment. "...What did he say?" He asked her, showing that even though what he had said was true, he still believed Emma. Will I be bound in chains
