Waking up, Ruse shook as she got to her feet, the emotions she felt playing with her mind and tearing her heart into shreds. It didn't surprise her to feel wet hot tears streaming down her face. Ruse wasn't one who liked to cry, but this memory.... As she walked in a haze, her foot touched the platform, and a bright red light shone through the cracks in the ground. Startled, Ruse stepped back as a figure joined her, this one also crying. Was this....the person from her memory? If it was, she would grant her wish. There was a part of her that didn't like killing. It seemed wrong, but now, after feeling just how the figure felt...she had to do something. And if this would bring her peace... Now she was on the other side of the large platform, carefully navigating the small platforms. Or she tried to at least. Ruse gasped as she felt a strong grip around her leg, and she stood preciously on the edge of the platform before it gave way, and she was sent falling into the abyss. And just like last time, after what seemed like eons, she began to slow down, until she landed on the floor with barely any speed. The place was strange. It was hard to focus with so much chaos. But as Ralifa continued further a path began to form from all the broken bits. The went down, farther down that Ralifa could possibly see with all the fog. She took a few tentative steps down, hopping from platform to platform. Wondering what these steps used to be. Fog began to grow thicker and thicker, she tried to avoid it in fear of falling off but to no avail she was soon caught up. A memory flashed. A brief glimpse of something unfamiliar. A battle, a rush of adrenaline at the sights and smells. The sting of pain in her side as a blade sliced through her skin to which she ended the perpetrators reign with one swift slash. Faces, faces, so many faces. They were here and then they weren't. All nothing but a blur as the battle raged on. In her confusion she totally missed whatever opponent she was battling. The faces mocking her, laughing at her as invisible legs kicked her to the ground. No! She would not let them take her. She closed her eyes, ignore them. Focus damn you focus. She gripped her weapon brows furrowed as she listened. In one quick, fluid motion she stabbed at her opponent. Little by little. Bit by agonizing bit, she drove her opponent back. Chasing them around the platform. Careful not to fall over the edge. It was a challenge when she was so focused on this fight.
