"Voltron use air slash to break up the fire spin!" Keria called she would have used rain dance but then the phone might be destroyed. The emolga leaped of his trainer and launched an air slash at the fire attack. He then launched a Thunder Wave at Clyde.

((Heyyy other Rockets, your superior could use some help ; D )) The air slash did some damage to the flames, but it wasn't lasting. Fire quickly filled the hole of air, but there was just enough of a gap for the Emolga to pass unharmed through the flames, and launch his attack. Hades was there, however, waiting angrily. He didn't like others messing with his plans. And it wasn't like he wanted to take that Thunder Wave for his 'master,' but he supposed things like this were in his job description.
The Volcarona buzzed a few feet in from of Clyde, taking the Thunderwave himself. He should be fine, but he would make sure the Emolga wasn't.

Walpurgis dragged himself towards Clyde, his mutilated leg hanging limply. Gritting his teeth against the pain, he pulled himself up to protect his comrade. His vision was dark from a combination of anguish and exhaustion, and he knew that he should be doing anything but aggravating his injuries right now, but he refused to let anymore of his companions be hurt.
Breathing heavily, he took his single remaining dagger, gripping it unsteadily with both hands, and stepped between Clyde and the gathered trainers.

“I want it.”
“Hmm?” The Rocket Executive swiveled in his chair to face Genesis. He was a large, imposing man, all sharp edges with no soft curve to smooth them, and he looked down at her with a cold gaze. Even when he was sitting, he was taller than she.
Those in the lower ranks called him Turtle, for it was not long ago that he had been a Grunt among them. During those days, he’d been well-known for his speed, or lack thereof. He had done things at his leisure, could never be hurried, and was constantly late.
“The Suicune. I want it,” Genesis repeated. The hair on the back of her neck rose, and she fought to maintain her composure. She knew how risky it was coming directly to an Executive like this, with such a bold request from someone who was merely a Grunt. Even though his nickname didn't exactly inspire fear and respect, he was not to be taken lightly. His sudden ascension had been unexpected, and many attributed it to luck. He never denied it, but had quickly proven his worth, and no one doubted him now.
“The Suicune, eh?” His words were slow, deliberate, mocking. He mimicked her, wasting her time, just as he thought she was wasting his. But – ah, she was one of the Grunts involved in the mission, wasn’t she? It had been a close call, but the Rockets had come out successful, and he could give credit where it was due. He would humor her today.
“Why?”
Genesis gulped. Why? What could she say in response to that? That she deserved it? Her records didn’t exactly point in that direction. Even in her latest mission, many of her traps had been avoided and much of her battles were lost. Overall, the majority of her time on the mountains had been a failure: an accurate reflection of all her past missions. She’d even been assigned a Lugia before, and had not only allowed him to escape to the wild, but had caused him to rampage across most of their base, too. She’d yet to retrieve him. It... was not looking so good for her.
By this point, the thought of leaving was very appealing. She was sure she wasn’t the only one to make such a request: the Suicune’s beauty, on top of its power, would be tempting. She could withdraw. Her time here would be forgotten: she would not be memorable against the other offers he'd likely received. Her position wouldn't be threatened, and she'd escape with only a wounded pride to nurse.
But... she couldn’t forget the cry she’d heard, the one that had first drawn her to the Rinaul Mountains. The voice had been low, but it had been so clear it was as if its speaker had been right beside her. It was almost haunting, that sound. So alone, and so anguished, too. It seemed like it had been calling for her, and her only.
She’d shuddered then, when she first heard it, though she’d pretended it was because of the chill. It had reminded her of her own deplorable youth, and though she’d grown and changed, she would never forget where and what she’d come from and the abandonment she had felt. The Suicune’s cry had brought it all back, and she couldn’t leave it now.
“Because,” she finally said, “it would be of most use with me.”
She had spoken with a confidence she hadn’t felt mere seconds ago, yet it was already filling her voice. Her eyes flashed resolutely, and the Executive had to admit the sudden change came as a surprise to him. He wondered if it was arrogance that drove her, or even stupidity. His own eyes narrowed, and he studied her shrewdly. After a moment, he looked away.
He brought up her file on his screen, his keen mind quickly picking out all the faults Genesis had thought of earlier. But that wasn’t all he saw. She’d been an active member since her recruitment, and though her results weren't always the best, no one could say she didn’t try. Out of all the Grunts and Trainees that had been sent out to distract the travelers, it was she who’d attempted to steal the most Pokémon, lay the most traps, and win the most battles. There were numerous failures, of course, but there were signs of improvement after each loss, and she was one of the few who’d managed to keep her cover. She was no hare: despite what victories she had, she did not grow assured and lose her advantage. She may not have excelled from the first, but surely, she would someday.
Slow and steady wins the race – that was the saying, wasn’t it?
"Steal Pokémon for profit. Exploit Pokémon for profit. All Pokémon exist for the glory of Team Rocket," he said, repeating their motto. “The Suicune will be used give Team Rocket an edge in the water bottling field.”
Despite the statement, Genesis stood firm and unmoving. He smiled.
“But," he said, just as slowly and deliberately as before, but without the derisive tone, "if you manage to tame it, it’s yours.”
It would mean a considerable loss for Team Rocket. But only temporarily. He was sure it would prove more profitable with her if she succeeded, just as she promised, but he kept the thought to himself.
Genesis blinked, surprised. After he'd seen her record, she was sure she'd have to put up more of a fight. She wasn't going to complain, however. She beamed and gratefully took the Key Card the Executive offered.
“Thank you, sir.” She saluted him and turned.
“Wait.
Genesis looked back, curious, wary.
“Good luck.”
She paused. Then, returning his smile, she left.

(Shadi, if you're trying to grab a camera, randomize 1-3 to see which you get! 1 means digital camera, 2 is film, 3 is phone. Keep in mind, film camera is largest and heaviest, phone is smallest and lightest.) Shaun was surprised by the speed of the Rocket's lunge and was slammed to the ground, knocking his breath out and filling his vision with spots. He clung to his phone and bag though, and before he could even see straight he felt the Rocket trying to get at them. Well, maybe he could work with that. He jerked his phone away from the Rocket, then wound back and threw it as far and high as he could. With the hand free, he reached into his bag for another camera and flung it in a different direction. Then he grabbed another and flung it in yet another direction. That ought to keep the Rockets busy. And if he was lucky, maybe get the Rocket off him. And if he was really lucky, at least one of them would be missed in the confusion. To add to the confusion, he started grabbing random items from his bag and throwing them around. Water bottle, potion, tin cup, whatever. Anything he could feel that was reasonably the same size, hoping that the Rockets couldn't get a good look before they were away.

Seeing how several trainers were converging on her superior, Fifi ran over. Walpurgis looked rather worse for wear, and Fifi quickly made her way to his (more) injured side. "Don't stab me again, I'm on your side now!" she said quickly as she moved to provide support.
"Kitty, Assist!" Kitty darted forward, using Assist to copy the Volcarona's Fire Spin and lend her own strength to the barrier.

StarrySeas Should we do an actual battle thread real quick? As the fire spin surrounded them Cadence frowned. There was no way they could get more reinforcements now. She didn't have much time to think about it though because the rocket had lunged between Branimir's legs and tackled Shaun to the ground. "Branimir take care of his pokemon, I'll handle the rocket."
Turning she reached down to grab Clyde's uniform and pull him off of Shaun but she was blocked by the masked Rocket. He still had a knife on him and Cadence didn't feel much like getting cut up. How was she supposed to help the other trainer now? After running through her options and taking in the state of her new opponent she decided to risk it. He looked exhausted, surely that would mean his reaction time was slowed. She darted forward and grabbed for the arm with the knife hoping she could wrestle it away from him. He would be a very minor threat if he had no weapon.Branimir stared at the volcanrola and his hackles rose. A deep growl rumbled from deep in his chest and he launched an aerial ace attack at his foe. He would not let anything else go wrong, he would protect the trainers and make sure that the rockets were defeated.((Back to work I go, should be home in about 2hrs. 3 at most. Cadence and Branimir will fight til they drop to help Shaun and save the cameras for evidence until I get back XD))

Rian-Chan ...They stopped next to Cara and her arcanine Tiger. "Hey, how's it going over here? I can't believe Team Rocket would do something this low. Well, I can, sort of, but really? Using a suicune for a bottled water operation?! Aren't there easier ways to get clean water?!" Sliding down from Branimir's back Cadence slid her backpack onto the ground and rummaged through it for something she could use to pick the locks. Coming out with some bobby pins, her utility knife, and two metal kebab skewers she sighed. This was definitely going to take some work. "Branimir, help Tiger and the others with the chains, if any of the rockets get too close... roast them."... Cara looked up as Cadence and Branimir came upon the scene and began helping. She smiled kindly at the two and shook her head at Cadence's comments. "We could use some help. The more the better. I know how you feel, I don't think Team Rocket can sink any lower, but some part of me thinks they will." Cara helped Tiger break off another chain after he super-heated it with Flamethrower. She looked to the Suicune and gently patted it's side. She hoped that the Suicune chose to join her team and become her friend but so long as it was freed and safe, away from Team Rocket and nowhere near their dark and nefarious purposes, she would be happy. Tiger looked to Branimir as he came to help. "Arc Arcanine Arc." Thanks for the help. The sooner we break these, the sooner she can get to safety. Cara decided to do like Cadence and try picking some locks as well, using a safety pin in her bag. ((I'm just calling it a She cause...it looks like a she))

Remmy look at the pokemon and tilted his head. His eyes went big and then he yell out to the people with the "R" on there shirts. "THAT NO WAY TO MAKE SOME ONE GO TO SLEEP! DIDN'T YO MAMA EVER TELL TO THAT YOU JUST SING IT A LULLABY AND GIVE IT WARM MOOMOO MILK!?" He yell out. He shook his had and Took out his pokemon dex...."Let me see what pokemon you are before I sing you a lullaby" He said to the big pokemon as he shooed the "R" shirt people away. Pokedex said: Suicune, the Aurora Pokémon. It travels the world and purifies water wherever it goes, sailing on the North Wind. "Neat! So your a water type! That why there water here! Ah HA!....Okay Mr. Suicune, drink the warm MooMoo Milk and just listen to Remmy's lullaby and everything going to be alright." He said as he feed the Moomoo milk to the Suicune. Hush, little Suicune, don't say a word. Remmy's gonna buy you a Delibird.
And if that Delibird won't sing, Remmy's gonna make Squirtle use Aqua Ring,
And if that Aqua Ring misses, Remmy's gonna buy you some Wide Lenses
And if that Wide Lens gets broke, Remmy's gonna buy you a Metal Coat
And if...that....Metal.....Coat...mff........mff............ZZZzzzzzZZZZZZZzzzzzzZ" While singing the lullaby, Remmy fell asleep next to the Suicune. He was holding a pokeball in his left hand as he lay there asleep cuddling the Suicune.

((Hades is fighting Voltron first, though if you want you could probably do a real battle with Fifi's Meowth?))
Clyde didn't have time to feel relieved at the sight of Fifi and Walpurgis. The only thing that quickly registered was that Walpurgis was badly injured. He shouldn't have come over here. The Executive didn't have time to tell him that though; everything was happening all at once and he could barely focus on what he wanted and needed to do. Should he punch the kid and knock him out? Well, he was already throwing things. He should probably just make a grab for those. Clyde left the kid in the dirt and lept up to catch something.
A large and heavy camera made a solid thunk on the packed dirt floor. It was the most obvious camera object, so Clyde made a grab for that first. Once he got it though, he wasn't exactly sure what to do with it. Was the memory in the back part? He quickly grappled with the back piece, trying to get something off. It popped open, revealing a strip of film. He should probably pull that out, right?
((Randomizing to try to make this fair; going off the list of items in Mew's last post xD )) 1. Digital Camera 2. Film 3. Phone 4.Water bottle 5. Potion 6. Tin cup))

As soon as the Rocket got off him, Shaun scrambled to his feet. He looked around hurriedly, saw there was too many people between him and the door and fire everywhere. In fact, he smelled burnt hair, felt a hot of heat on his scalp and had a feeling his hat was on fire. Wait, he was on fire? That was bad. But potentially useful. His eyes widened, then he turned and ran for the lake. He knew the safest thing to do now was stop drop and roll, and that running might make the fire spread. But being on fire made it reasonable to assume he was going to the lake simply to put it out. In fact, he had one more camera tucked in a vest pocket, one that was made for underwater use. If he could just get to the lake, that one would be safest. In order to make the panicked appearance more realistic, he threw aside his bag and started slapping the general area of his hat to get the fire out.

Tygress sighed and chewed on a power bar while Peanut nommed on some berries to rebuilt her strength after their own battle with one of the Rockets. They were just feeling more like themselves when the cry sounded again. "I almost forgot why we came up here, Peanut, with everything that's happened. Let's go figure out what's going on." They mostly veered away from the bulk of the group, wishing they had done that in the first place when they'd started the journey up the mountain. Considering the number of Rockets in the traveling group the building didn't surprise her as much as it did some of the others. Perhaps they were new trainers, but she and Peanut had seen such things before. As the other trainers broke in the watcher and luxio snuck in, almost like the Rockets that were grumbling far too close. "Now this was not what I was expecting...." Tygress said as the scene sunk in. A legendary trapped for a water bottling enterprise? Well she supposed the Team had to get their funds from somewhere but this...this was ridiculous. Peanut growled low before joining those heading toward the suicune. Those trying to sedate the beautiful pokemon either moved away with surprise or were fought off by the trainers and pokemon that had enter ahead of Tygress and Peanut. Peanut herself chased off a straggler with a spark, before approaching the suicune. She'd had experience before reassuring a victim of Team Rocket. The luxio spoke soothingly of the glorious mountains outside and how they were going to get out there to experience it very soon. < >
Tygress approached slower allowing Peanut to explain things. Things that Tygress herself was likely to repeat, but there was no way of knowing. Team though they were for so long Tyg had no special gift to understand pokemon. She checked her bag to ensure she had what she needed. Yep there they were, two full restores. Hopefully it would counter whatever the Rockets had used to sedate the suicune.
"Hello there, you beautiful suicune. My name is Tygress and the lovey lady luxio is my dear friend Peanut. We're here to help you. I have this medicine that should help rebuild your strength so you can get out of here," she held out her hand with the restores sitting there. "You should only need one, but Peanut will use the other since she still hasn't fully recovered from our previous battles on the way to you and to show the medicine is safe."
The suicune seemed suspicious still, in spite of the words of both the pokemon and the watcher. There were pokemon among the Rockets that trusted and served their trainers of their own free will as well. Tygress used the medicine on Peanut and could feel the suicune watching and considering. It moved allowing Tyg close enough to use the restore on itself as well. Watcher and luxio waited and observed the light of awareness and strength return to its eyes. "It's going to be hard to get you out of here without a fight. If you're feeling up to it we'll fight at your side, but I will make this offer to transport you in a pokeball. It is your choice and it will be your choice to stay with me or return to your own full freedom in the wild," Tygress said when she felt the restore had done its work. She knelt and set the pokeball down awaiting the legendary's choice....

Hades was busy with the Emolga. Clyde frowned, how could he take care of all of this at once? He probably couldn't, though at least he had destroyed the film camera. Should he go after the kid that was now on fire? He probably still had a camera on him, but he had seen one of his little trainer friends catch one of the cameras. He should probably go for that one. Maybe Fifi could take care of the kid that was now running for the lake? "Fifi! If your hands aren't too full, try to do something about the kid that's on fire," He knew she was busy supporting Walpurgis, but he really needed some help here. Where were his other members? He was exhausted. The Executive couldn't wait for this mission to be over, Suicune or no Suicune really. This was all a bit much, even for him. Well that was probably the exhaustion talking.
Clyde went after the trainer called Keria this time. She was the one with the Emolga, so she was relatively defenseless, and he wasn't one to care about hitting girls.

This was disgusting... despicable...inexcusable.
And yet it was a sight he was not foreign to. How many times was it now that he'd seen the lives of Pokemon put in jeopardy by the hands of foolish, selfish humans? Far too many... even once was over the limit. It was reminiscent of the time he'd found that Raikou chained in an electrical facility in one of his first adventures that contained such a mass of trainers like this. But it had been set free, and had found a home with the combined efforts of everyone who was there to liberate it. And then there was the Jirachi, to which also earned a home as well from the labyrinth that it'd been trapped in and the chaos that plagued its mind. There seemed to be a pattern... all of these legendary's... always found in a state that degraded them... that caged them. It was a curse they all seemed burden with... being so rare and coveted came with a price it seemed... and humans were the weakest of creatures, their minds easily reverting to a primal state of greed.
To take another life... to own it, and make it theirs.
Why... Why did people do this? It was unfathomable for Sabre to even comprehend how such an idea could fester within another's mind to take control of a life. Never had he desired to own a Pokemon. No. Any that joined his team were willing, and wanting to become partners with him. No possessions. Not a trophy to hold up high over everyone's head and exploit. That's not how live's worked... The cohabitation of Pokemon and human were to be balanced, like a ying and a yang. There was no doubt that in truth, Pokemon could control and rule this world. They were stronger, more powerful, and humans were weak, fragile. Yet the creatures held restraint, they showed morality, and consideration, refraining from overtaking towns and city's daily as they surely could. The only time these sorts of things did happen were due to the human races ill-judgement.
It was humans who caused the pain, torture, and distortion of the peace that Pokemon were well used to. We are the chaos... we are the problem. For years, Pokemon have known how to live amongst one another, and yet time and time again, by fools like Team Rocket, catastrophe's would crop up, a tip in the scale would occur... madness would ensue...
Do they not learn...? are they so daft, and prokaryotic that they cannot see how tremendously foul their efforts were?
Sabre, if he were a Pokemon himself, would most certainly be seething. Some sort of element would be oozing from his lips, spilling like a ribbon of flames, or darkness. An eerie glow would take to his glowers, illuminating the already fiery crimson orbs. But the companion at his side was able to do such a thing for him... Anja could feel her trainers anger, his irritation, and tension. The houndoom's lips were peeled back slightly in a snarl that mimicked Sabre's distaste, her sharp, silver eyes like mercury piercing into all the Rocket members she looked to. If only she could torch them all... she would. Her spaded tail flicked behind her like an agitated snake, writhing and curling slowly, and fluidly. But her gaze shifted up to Sabre as the breeder began his approach to the Suicune.
His approach was gentle, considerate, and with each step of his heavy metal boots that gave a chime and a staccato, full thud, he calmed himself, eyes closed as he regulated his breathing. There was no need to act this way with the majestic creature before him now out of harms way. There was no way he'd allow those idiots to get near it again, not as long as he still had breath in his lungs. This poor creature... the heavy, binding metal laced along its body did not belong. It was as if looking at a beautiful lake, tainted with oil. The images of the cold-hearted Rockets attempting to sedate the beauty was... etched into his very mind. Exploiting the Suicune for its resources and ability's... how foul. How low....
He was ashamed of his kind. Though he couldn't right all their wrongs towards these creatures, he did the best he could when presented with such an situation. Kneeling beside Suicune, he kept his energy calm, composed, voice deep, but clear, controlled, and smooth.
"I apologize.. that I did not make it here sooner. And for the idiocracy that is my own race, for doing this to you..." he begins, slowly extending a gloved hand towards the shackles, testing to see their durability. A Fire Fang from Anja could surely break these. The Houndoom in fact sniffed lightly towards the Suicune, showing her concern for her fellow Pokemon, and assurance that this would not be it's demise. In a gentle effort to show comfort, the fire hound gently pressed to the fluffy chest of the water Pokemon, nuzzling there tenderly, a gesture she often did to Sabre or the other members of their family to quell their distraught state.
Sabre kept his eyes on Suicune's, never letting up on his attention directed straight on the Pokemon, "Perhaps this is the last thing you want to hear from a human, and I certainly don't blame you... but I would be honored if you joined our family. I will never allow such mistreatings to befall you.. nor shall I ever allow you to be treated like some sort of object to be taken advantage of. No Pokemon should be..." he'd done this before.. tried to draw a legendary from its state of turmoil to join him... would it work this time...? would he be worthy enough..?
He paused, and took another deep breath, "As long as I live, I shall always do all that is in my power to protect you from being bound. You will be free to travel the world with me, and the rest of my partners. And just like the rest of my companions.." he extends his other hand to gently stroke along the nape of Anja's neck, in praise and affection, his usually intense gaze softening just enough to be visible, "you will always be the most important priority in my life. That I can promise. A promise I shall never break."
