Danny pouted and, seeing as there was nothing else she could do, flopped down on the grass next to him, holding her tail gently in her lap. That was the last thing they needed- the entire campus being set on fire.
"What does it look like stupid? I came out here to find you," she said, arms crossed. This wasn't really ideal, but if he was out here, something went wrong with Amphi, and that wasn't good.
She noticed the card on the grass and picked it up. "Were you not having a good time at prom? Why do you need to call some lady to have a good time?" Maybe that was his date's number? The possibilities were endless!

"That's my dad's," Roch said, grabbing it and putting it back in one of the pockets. "Danny... I'm really tempted to skip out now," he said quietly, putting all of the things back in the pockets. "She used the SAME jackin' line on me that Xiu did. And the worse part is, I saw it comin'. I tried to avoid it. But every time I turned around someone else was shovin' her towards me."

"Wait wait, slow down turbo!" Danny said, putting a hand on his mouth. "Who used the same line? What did Xiu even say- you never told me!"
When it came to romance, Roch never shared anything.
Well maybe that wasn't fair. Roch shared more with her than he probably did anyone, but it was still regretfully sparse. She needed details.

"The 'but you feel the same about all your friends' line," Roch drawled. "But this time it was worse," he said with a sigh, leaning back against the wall. "This time she starts tellin' me that she gets nervous when I'm around, like... she swallowed a squid and it was stuck in her stomach, and her face got flushed, so I'm thinkin--"
He snorted. "Yeah, got that one wrong."

"WHO DID?!" Danny repeated.
She sighed. The squid in the stomach reference went completely past her, but Danny figured if the ghoul was blushing she probably liked Roch. Why was that a bad thing again? "I don't get it- you're mad 'cause a ghoul likes you?"

"I ain't mad. I'm a bit..." he snorted, reaching up and taking the stupid mask off, finally. "I thought the same thing," he told her. "I was all 'oh, so she likes me,' and asked her if she missed me when I was gone, if she wanted to get closer, but didn't at the same time, and then she just goes 'but you feel that way about all your friends, right?'" He lifted his voice, doing a remarkably good imitation of Amphi.
"Which was the EXACT same line that Xiu used on me the last time she was tryin' to get rid of me--the time it finally sank in."

Deciding it was high time for a break, the baku had retreated back to the refreshment table to get herself a drink. As she sipped at the punch, she idly watched the students dancing around her and, despite the fact she was supposed to be taking a break, she couldn't resist holding up her camera with her free hand and taking a couple of shots.
Xiu nearly tossed her punch when she felt someone suddenly pat her on the head, but the close call was miraculously avoided. "Wha--oh! Hey, Vaith!" She beamed up at the noise reaper, only for a puzzled expression to take over her face at the offer of a dance. "I...a dance? With me?"
Slowly, very slowly, a mischievous grin spread over her face. Draining the last bit of her punch, she set down the cup and dropped into a curtsy. "A friendly dance would be lovely." After a moment of pause, she straightened back up, her expression amused (and maybe even a little bit concerned). "Just to warn you though, uou have no idea what you're getting into. I think I might step on your feet, but you're fine with that..."

Danny stared blankly at Roch and then slowly moved a hand to slap herself on the forehead. "I give up with you. Can't even tell me who the ghoul is," she muttered under her breath.
"I don't get ghouls okay. Sometimes they say they like you, but they really don't. It doesn't make sense," she explained, to the best of her abilities. There was a reason Danny had never really gotten along with the demon ghouls back home. In fact, Amphi was probably the closest ghoul friend she'd ever had.
"BUT," she warned, "If you leave, you're being selfish." She looked over at him and lifted her mask so it sat on her forehead. "More people want you in there than just that ghoul, okay?" She wrapped her arms around Roch in a strange sort of sideways hug. "Like me. If you don't go back in there, you'll ruin my prom. Is'at really what you want?"

... who? He pulled a complete blank on who wanted him in there other than Danny. "Danny, a party is a party, regardless of who's there or who isn't," he said finally. "And hell, they don't even need me for the music," he said bluntly. "But I'll come back in after a while. Go on in. And... get rid of that jackin' glitter while you're in there." He made a face.
He might come back in. Maybe.

Just to spite him, Danny flopped right on top of him. "SORRY, WHAT DID YOU SAY TO GET RID OF?" She smiled and noogied his mohawk.
Now that Roch was successfully glittered (you're welcome Jack!) Danny stood up and brushed herself off. "Mmkay. If you're not in there by the next song, I'll hunt you down," she said cheerfully.
"Oh, and Roch?" Danny held up a pack of cighoulettes- when had she gotten those?- and said, "No more smoking." The pack was up in flames faster than a building made of straw next to a family of hellhounds. With that, she smirked and reentered the dance.

"Jackdammit, I didn't even get to try," Roch complained, getting up and shaking off as much of the glitter as he possibly could. Then he looked up at the auditorium for a long, long moment, waiting until she was inside.
And turned to look in the direction of the school.

So... He was just asking for her? Holy s**t who was this and what had he done with Titus?
Moreover, he was gonna force himself into drinking something? Holy crap.
Wait. Had the punch really been spiked with something earlier? Maybe she was high.
"Hold that thought." Riyo's brow furrowed as she gave her arm a little pinch. Well, she could feel it just fine. Did drugs affect that? Maybe that was just for dreaming. Either way she might as well enjoy this. Whether drug-induced delusion, dream, or otherwise.
"Tell you what." The demoness started as she picked up one of the little snacks sitting around. "You don't have to if you don't want to, but keep in mind that if someone does end up dumping something in here, you're gonna miss all the fun." ... Whether that was a good thing or not.

It seemed that for now, Shehk was going to have to try and figure out who she was going to socialize with while Jericho was off trying to recollect his life a little bit. She hoped that worked out for him, he'd really been broken the last couple of months and anything that could fix it?
She'd take it.
Never the less, she kept passing glances across the room towards where the skinwalker was socializing, seeming to debate with herself on if she was going to approach him or not. Had she decided no on that ultimately? Or....
Damn. She had no idea.

She shifted awkwardly for a few moments before finally deciding, "I do apologize, I need to get a bit of air. It was nice to meet you all." She smiled softly patting Kiwi's arm, "I'm going to see what this is about a dead Gnome and then head outside. If you want to find me later."
She gave a bow before scurrying off, something to preoccupy her mind would be a welcomed distraction.

Yin reached out his own hand a bit tentatively, also ready to move on. Alexander reached the rest of the way and his hand was soon surrounded by a cool hand. "No, I...I want to." it was only a partial lie. He did want to go through with it at least, though actually doing it was not his cup of tea. Alexander was even saying he could disguise himself, but that was also unacceptable. Moving away to shift so he would not be in public would be inconvenient, and he was not positive he could shift that much. No, mind made up he steeled himself with a deep breathe. "I am ready Alexander. Let us dance." Hopefully it was not nearly as confusing as it appeared. He was not really sure f e was leading Alexander to the dance floor or if he was being pulled along, but there was light, cool pressure on his hand and they were in the thick of things either way. Now for the lesson.
