Shira stared up as the guy that spilled his drink asked if she was the daughter of Death "Yes..." she said. She looked like she was going to say more but she jumped in surprise as he suddenly kneeled on the ground. "U-Uh.... Thank you but the formality really isn't necessary," she said as she shifted in her seat rather uncomfortably. ▬ ▬ ▬

Illo flexed his neck only enough to really get a good look at the shinigami's feet. This wasn't a joke; it had gone on far too long for that; and Illo wasn't about to let this opportunity slip by him. GAH--how did he not notice her sooner? Suppose it was easier when he could simply sense her.
... Still. He'd had plenty of chances to speak with the shinigami before: at the ball, at the other ball, at the other... Oh.
Her group was interesting. Illo cataloged them earlier, oddly enough--shamefully--finding Shira herself to be the most mundane-looking of them. Oh, how wrong this was! There was only one of her just as there was only one Iron Phoenix; but there were billions of humans from which the latter could be chosen; how could he simply put himself on her level.
He couldn't.
"Your kindness surprises me, your Grace," said the monk touching his forehead to the floor once more. He finally stood, looking like a sapling in the wind for a moment, holding that reverence in his hands clasped in front of him.
"I am from the Monastery of the Iron Phoenix," he explained, and, holding a flattened hand to his chest, "I am Illo: Twenty-fifth Iron Phoenix." Surely she had heard of him before... Right?

 He who dares__________________________Eric watched in slight surprise as Illo prostrated himself before Shira. "Uhh, hey man, Shira's great and all but she's not like...kissing the floor great. - No offense Shira. - so there's no need for all that." He smiled wryly. "And besides, why does her kindness surprise you? Were you expecting her to be mean or something?" He gave a slight shrug and a teasing smile at Shira. "
It's okay, I understand. She can be pretty mean sometimes." WINS

Dara laughed at the current situation they were in as well as Eric's teasing of Shira. Obviously this Illo person did not realize that Shira was not Death's only child. "I think you're freaking her out a little...as well as freaking us out. So could you please get up from the floor?" If she was on the end, she would have pulled this man up already, seeing how uncomfortable he was making Shira and most likely Aeron also. "We were also about to leave, so it would be very nice of you to let us get out of the booth please."

Again, no need for formalities," she said with a small laugh. As Eric began teasing Shira, she gave him a look. "Eric stop! You all make it sound like I kick puppies when I am bored," she complained with a pout before her attention went back to Illo as he introduced himself. Shira smiled slightly "Nice to meet you, Illo," she told him. As she heard Dara, Shira perked up "Oh right. Going to my place to discuss some stuff! Also I don't think Aeron has seen the updated mansion yet."▬ ▬ ▬

Aeron stared in shock as the man literally kowtowed all because of his sister. He glanced at the others to see if they were as weirded out by this as he was. It would honestly concern him if they didn't share his general reaction as he certainly hoped this wasn't a normal occurrence for the group, especially his sister. Aeron couldn't help but laugh at the comment Eric made. At least someone here was attempting to make the situation a bit less awkward for all of them. "I didn't say anything" he said in defense before continuing, "but Dara's right. We need to get going. Important things to do and oh so little time. I haven't seen the updated mansion yet, and thus haven't been home. My room better be how I left it." His words started to sound a little rushed towards the end as he was eager to leave, made evident by the way he was gently nudging his sister to get out of the booth.

 Lily Treinna Lily with Blood BladeNine tailed Form_____________________________________________________________ Lily would just watch as the man would keep up his formality which was weird, soon when he introduced himself asking that Shira would have at least heard of him "who?" she muttered raising an eyebrow, she didn't know shira as well as Eric did apparently as he was her friend already and thus knew whether or not she was comfortable as well or what she enjoyed. On the other hand Dara wanted out, which he didn't blame her for, she was probably the most uncomfortable person there still. But Dara did seem to ignite the idea of going to the mansion again which was an idea of sorts, so far they already roped her into going with them since it 'wasn't' an inconvenience. Aeron also seemed to be eager to leave, more for seeing his room most likely but that seemed justified, the first thing her mother wanted to see apparently was her own room, then her...weird priorities. ... Probably. Illo, who had already stood up but was still in their way, laughed nervously with those who found it within them to defuse any tension with humor and stepped to the side, allowing the group to leave. The way Shira regarded him... She must not have been told about him or his organisation. Still, he did not know of her brother...
"Ye-Yes, of course," sputtered the monk, itching the back of his head. "I did not mean to intrude, but I wasn't sure--your father was the only one I met the last time I was here--as a child, that is." He took yet another step back, giving them more room.
"Under different circumstances, I hope we might be able to speak more. There are things I wish to tell Shira--" and, turning a nod to the others--"and rest of you if you would hear it." He fetched, hurriedly, from his pocket a coin with the Iron Phoenix insignia embossed on it and reached it out to Shira--or whoever would grab it.
"That should jog your father's memory. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them--" he caught himself--"when you have time, of course!" Another nervous chuckle. "Farewell..." He let them pass by, not taking his eyes from the ground. In this moment he looked as though he might have been meditating on his feet.

What was he doing? Shira put the coin in her pocket before standing up "I haven't seen someone act that formal around me in a long time," she said before looking at the others. "Anyway, let's head to my place then. All those who wish to come, can come."▬ ▬ ▬

Blown up? Blown up?! Why didn't anyone tell him anything? His messages home hadn't indicated anything of the sort happening. He was more out of the loop than he had previously believed. There was no point in complaining about it now; He would just have to learn everything along the way as he was now. After what felt like ages, they group was finally going to leave (more like escape from the feel of it). Though he was sad about imagining all the things he had kept in his room being blown to smithereens, he was excited to see what was new. "If you did the redecorating I should have nothing to worry about. If my room is completely symmetrical down to the wrinkle, however, I may scream." he commented before he made his way for the first time since arriving back in Death City.

Dara smiled at Eric's teasing before she lightly nudged him to get out of the booth. "Well on that note, do you guys want to go see the rebuilt mansion now? Wasn't that our plan," she asked with the intent to get them quickly out of the cafe.

A thing that they had in common and what caused a lot of stress for their dad was that both Aeron and Shira had a extreme dislike for symmetry. She looked at Lily, Dara, and Eric then "Yes! We will go to the blown up and rebuilt mansion now. Follow me," with that, Shira got up and turned to the door. ((exit)) ▬ ▬ ▬
