"Because the kid will totally act as if there is a clean slate between us," Cassie said with a short, bitter laugh. "Yeah, no. Besides, he isn't my type, regardless of the fact he fell under my power. I don't like blondes and I don't like guys younger than me."
She rolled her eyes and glanced down at Shadow Walker as she explained how she thought they were all in fact monsters. She frowned at Shadow Walker's explanation and said, "Don't let my brother hear that, he'd go ballistic. You thinking we're monsters... And not all 'humans' think mutants are monsters. Besides we are human we just have one genetic quirk your so called 'homo-sapiens' don't. What makes a monster is not your capabilities but what you do."
"People have been able to kill each other for thousands of years and have but that doesn't mean all people are monsters. Look at it this way our powers can be used for good too. I can convince people to calm down or not hurt each other using my power. Convince people to not hurt each other. I am great at crowd control. You-well you can make less of a carbon footprint by teleporting through shadows," Cassie said with a bit of a smile. "Take my brother for example. He has a terrifying ability too. He is a god of sorts in his forcefields but God, though scary, did a lot of good too, right? Or at least that is what I've heard in church and what not."

a.k.a. Myth  Dean was just doing his rounds, greeting students. His usual morning routine when Emma invaded his mind. Well invaded always sounds like it's a nasty thing but he had gotten used to being in the proximity of a telepath. Dean made an audiable sigh in his mind. "Yeah right, those are also in zoo's. He's also under Cassandra's influence. He's just being more subtle about it. Guess it was the right call to be paranoid about it."The leader of the X-men turned around and headed towards the hangar. "I'll have to lift the lockdown and change the settings again. Right now it's impossible to set a course to anywhere near Genosha. Precautions in case he wanted to steal the jet. I'll meet him there."

Emma Frost and Scott Summers  Emma smiled at Dean's response about the zoo, it was the same thing she had said. She replied, Thank-you, Dean, I will be sure to inform Sebastian to meet you at the hanger.Emma glanced up and said to Sebastian, "Dean has agreed to lift the lock down on the jet. He has also agreed to meet you at the jet. I would like to point out it would probably be easier to hunt down your lemur in a zoo than in the wild. However, you wouldn't try to go against my orders of putting on hold to rescue Cassie, of course."She smirked, it was fairly obvious that Sebastian wasn't at the very least completely fooling Emma (and no doubt fooling Dean). After all the story was convenient.

They must think I'm under Cassandra's power. Too bad for them I'm immune to it. Sebastian thought smugly. Due his brain being in a constant stat of flux, any sort of mental power directed at him was useless. People couldn't read or control or even send messages to his thoughts. That was another plus of the Lazarus Drug. The only real reason he was going to Genosha was something else. Beyond his deal with Warp, beyond getting Cassandra. And if this mission were to prove successful, more than one irritation would be gone. "Of course, not." said Sebastian, standing up. "Catching a wild lemur should be simple enough, and I'd prefer not having one from the zoo because of a small incident with one of the alligators a couple years back. I had.... borrowed... one for an experiment that didn't go quite so well. The owners are, needless to say, wary of me." Sebastian winked at Emma, knowing that she knew the story, but still wouldn't buy it as an excuse. He walked out the door. "Well, I suppose we'll be off." He continued walking down the stairs and down the hallway. When he passed Dmitri in the corridor he "accidently" shoved him. "Oops. Sorry, Kovac. I'm a little preoccupied." he said quickly as he headed towards his lab. Hopefully, Dmitri would realize that that was the signal to go hide on the Blackbird.

Dmitri glanced up as Sebastian ran into his shoulder and raised a brow in challenge. He glanced back to Felicia as he finished his sandwich in two more bites: he could take a hint. "You know what, forget it. I'm just being stupid. I think I'm going to explore. I figure if I am needed the... I mean Miss Frost will contact me. Great thing about having a telepath running this place right? She knows where to find you when she wants you."
He smiled and realized as he walked out of the kitchen and dining room that in a way he could track most people in the mansion too considering the nature of his power and his ability to track mutant powers. It actually might come in handy. At least he would know where Cassie was if he wanted to once they got her back. He made a few turns before heading towards the hanger. Looking around he cut in and sneaked onto the jet heading to the back. He closed his eyes as he hid in a storage closet trying to track the powers around him.

She heard his question, then softly answered, "He gave me a home when I didn't have one..." she softly answered as he went on with his own doubts on how Mr. Arkain was the polar opposite of him. She nibbled at her breakfast some more when he had to get up and leave. Despite upsetting Mr. Nixon so much she still wanted to figure out some way to save Cassie. She let out a sigh and with what Dmitri said is true, there was no way Ms. Frost would let her get on if she found that she was anywhere near it.
She pushed the plate away and kept thinking about it. Mr. Arkain mentioned something about a mission. Surley he would let me know as a member of the team to help him right?... Then again... they haven't done so well on informing me ... about anything lately... she started to wonder if she should try anyway despite Ms. Frost...

I must be unlucky enough to not have met any. Despite my efforts if hiding it they'd beat me up on a daily bases after school because of it. I was told not to use my power at all…and so I didn't. No inch of kindness they all wanted to look away…even my parents. They barely spoke to me since I became a homo-superior." she paused a moment to let it sink in. "As far as genetic quirks go, history has shown us that the humans have been against one genetic quirk or another, sex, race, deformities and even though left up to debate, sexual orientation. Which took centuries to get as far as we are now... who knows how long it will take for them to accept us? Odds are perhaps that's something the humans will agree upon and get together to try to destroy us. Then despite their efforts they'll lose. Yeah one genetic quirk, can mean a world of difference."

"You must not have been lucky enough to have met good people then," Cassie answered. "You know I've only seen my mother cry three times in my entire life. All were because of Alex. She cried when she had to take him out of school and she cried both times he left home. Our mother is 'homo-sapien'."
Sighing, Cassie continued, "Regardless, a fight isn't wise for either side. I don't see why we can't get along. Just because someone has a gun doesn't mean they have to use it. Just like because I have the power to control someone doesn't mean I have to use it. Who knows, maybe they'll find a cure for it? Then again some powers can be beneficial. For example Alex can fix what can be broken."
Cassie forced a smile, "I just don't understand the 'us verses them' mentality that the Brotherhood has or that the MRD or MRD supporters have. And, it quite frankly pisses me off that Alex bought into the Brotherhood garbage because I know for a fact before he came to Genosha he was hooking up with 'homo-sapiens'. Doesn't exactly look good for the leader of the Brotherhood now does it?"

I don't understand the X-Men and thinking that we would get along just fine. As for the Brotherhood mentality, it makes perfect sense to me. Especially if you consider my background with the lack of humans showing me sympathy." Cassie let out a short laugh, "The mentality of the X-men isn't that we would get along just fine. We aren't that stupid. And, I sure as Hell am not that stupid. The idea is it is smarter to get along than to be enemies. More is to be gained that way. Less bloodshed, less loss, less harm. More gain. Economically advantageous."
"Anyways, don't be so envious of other people," Cassie added. "You want to be liked by everyone? But you just said it would bother you if I forced the kid to like you? Why shouldn't it bother me that people like me because my power compels them to like me? At least you know the truth. The truth is a powerful thing, Shadow Walker. Just like a name. Why do you think Magneto is so wrapped up in Genosha residents deleting all traces of their 'homo-sapien names' before Genosha? The battle isn't MRD verses mutants in my opinion. It is for the MRD, but when it comes to the other side it is Magneto and his agenda against the MRD."
"The real reason I didn't come to Genosha after I found out what I was, was because I didn't want to be a pawn in this. I don't want to be Magneto's pawn or anyone else's pawn for that matter. The X-men won my heart by giving me a simple choice: I could and can walk out any time I wanted. Do you have that choice? Did the kid? Does my Brother? Things aren't black and white like you think Shadow Walker," Cassie snorted her voice low.

my name is Shadow Walker Well so much for lightening to mood I guess... She sighed a little, "I wasn't being envious, I was making an observation on how polar opposite our lives went. That is all." "You're brother did warn me, and even discouraged me from wanting to join the Brotherhood and how it is a lifetime membership. All I know right now is I won't be changing my views on humans any time soon. If this is Magneto's ploy against the MRD then I'm all for it." she let out a deep breath and stood up. "Look, we could go on and on about this but in the end there's no changing my mind and no changing yours. We both feel we joined the right cause and that's that." "I'm sure this was not what your brother had in mind when he brought us out here. It's my first camping trip, why not make the best of it, alright?" she said with a shrug.

a.k.a. Myth There wasn't much to do for Dean but to cancel the lockdown and wait. Something he intended to do. But one thing did come to mind. Felicia did have a point yesterday. As inexperienced and untrained as she might be....she is a member of the team. It would most likely be the right thing to tell her Sebastian and him were heading out on a mission so she doesn't feel left out again. Dean made his way back to find her. His pace was faster than before since he didn't want to keep Sebastian waiting. It didn't take him long to find her. She looked a bit down. "Morning Felicia. Hey um, sorry about last night. You were right, I should have informed you. As new as you are....you are a member of the team now. But please,try to understand my point of view. Call it foolish but I trust Warp enough to keep her safe." Dean spoke honestly. "And Sebastian has a small mission which he apparently needs my help with. So we will be gone for a while. But there is one thing you can do for me. Cassandra gave us 24 hours to train. So I would like for you to continue training. I have a program you could use in the danger room. Charlie Alpha Tango. Or just CAT for short. You'll see what it's for when you get there." Dean explained. "Well, I have to go now, don't wanna keep the guy waiting. Good luck kiddo!" Dean said with a smile and quickly departed for the hangar.

Felicia looked up as Myth bid her good morning and apologized for last night. She felt a bit better about him notifying her of the mission but was a little disappointed that he didn't want to take her with them or Dmitri for that matter as far as she knew.
She followed him out, and continued keeping up with him as she asked, "Please Myth, is there any way I can help with the mission? Perhaps since this is a smaller mission it would be better to come along instead of a bigger mission like the one earlier."

a.k.a. Myth It made Dean think. If she was there it would make it a little harder for Sebastian to try anything. Plus it would make sense for her to come along. After all, her senses are better than their so she would be able to sniff out a lemur with great ease. "You know what? It would be easier for you to come along. Good opportunity to use those instincts and senses of yours. We need to catch a lemur or a couple of them. Something for Sebastian's project. But with your senses that should be easy as pie wouldn't it? Grab your gear and meet me at the hangar." Dean said with a smile and a nod.
