Rouge nodded. She flew up to the top, following Justin.
Tails fell on his butt, completely out of energy. "Oh man....I can'tfly up there....I'm too tired..."
Sonic smirked. "Hop on, lil' buddy." He said, picking up the fox and putting him on his back. He then turned and ran away from the tower. Of course, a few minutes later, he came speeding back, and was going so fast he was able to run up the wall of the tower.

Lady ran into the tower, deciding to go the long way.
Justin reached the top of Temen-Ni-Gru, then saw Dante and Vergil fighting.
Dante got pushed back, then saw Justin. "'Bout time ya made it, Popsicle." He told Justin, with a smirk.
Vergil turned to face the ice demon. The elder son of Sparda shot him a piercing glare. "What makes you think you can take me? I am now on the path to becoming stronger than even my father, the Dark Knight, Sparda. You couldn't even hit me before."
Justin simply pulled out Cerberus. He had to make sure he stopped Vergil. If what he said before meant anything, Vergil would go after Rouge the first chance he got.

Sonic shot up past the three, then fell. He turned himself in midair and landed on his feet.
"You guys are such show-offs." Rouge mumbled, touching down. She glared at Vergil. Her eyes were filled with fire. "The only path you're taking is to hell, you ******** class="postcontent-align-center" style="text-align: center">

Vergil's eyes shifted to Rouge, then back to Justin. "After I cripple you, you're in for quite a show." He threatened, drawing Yamato, then rushing him.
Justin blocked the attack with Cerberus, but the force of the slash was great, as it sent the ice demon back a bit. Justin then sent a wave of ice crystals at Vergil.
Dante drew Ebony and Ivory, firing the twin guns at Vergil.
Vergil gracefully deflected the ice and bullets with his katana. He then swung Yamato at Justin again, only to be blocked by an icy claw.

(By the way, Vergil is allowed to get a hit in on Tails. x3)
Tails took out a high-tech gun, not unsimilar to Samus', and fired a beam at Vergil.
Sonic ran at Vergil, doing the break-dance move again, only sliding, in an attempt to trip the demon.
Rouge jumped into the air and flung grenades at him.

Vergil knocked Justin away again, then sidestepped the beam, shooting a summoned sword at Tails. He then avoided Sonic, sending his foot crashing into the mutant's jaw. The grenades exploded on him, but they barely did anything. He then focused back on the Ice Demon, slashing at him again.
Justin dodged the slash, swiping at Vergil with his claws. He actually managed to do some damage this time.

(By the way, I could never kill off Tails. This is just for drama 3nodding )
Sonic flew back into the wall. He collapsed in a heap on the floor.
"Sonic!" Tails was too busy looking at Sonic to noticed that the sword was coming towards him(because that all happened very quickly, by the way). "Hup!" His eyes widened. The blade had gone through his small body, impaling him.
"Grrrrhhhmmm...." Sonic raised his head, looking up to see his little fox friend. He suddenly found strength and jumped to his feet, running over to him. He slid on his knees, catching the fox as he fell backwards. Slowly, the hedgehog mutant pulled the sword from Tails' body, holding up his head with his other hand. Nothing else mattered right then except the blood staining Tails' chest furr.
Rouge threw more grenades at Vergil. She didn't notice Tails and Sonic.
(Even though he won't die....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! gonk DAMN YOU VERGIL, DAMN YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! crying )

Vergil kicked Justin in the stomach, then swung Yamato at his face twice, leaving an X shaped gash on the ice demon, then pushin him to the floor. He then avoided the grenades with ease, paying no attention to Rouge. Her time would come soon enough.
Blood sprayed from Justin's wound. He shifted into Devil Trigger form, then got up, shooting Vergil a cold stare. "LEAVE MY FRIENDS ALONE!!!!!!!" He yelled, dropping a massive ice pillar on him.
The pillar fell on Vergil, but he slashed it to bits. He scoffed at Justin. "Soon, you will witness the pain of losing your friends, and the one you treasure." He then shot a bunch of swords at Justin, but a wall of ice deflected the blades.

(I love how Vergil ignores the little dramatic scene going on, and Sonic ignores the big fighting scene going on xD)
Sonic just stared at the small, dying fox in his arms. "Tails....No, you can't leave me. Not after all we've been through together...."
"Sonic...." murmured Tails.
"Just hang in there, lil' buddy. I'm gonna get you out of here. And you're gonna get better. All right?" Sonic said, standing and carefully holding Tails.
"Okay....Will I see mommy again...?" He asked.
"Uh-huh. And Knux, and Justin, and Luna, and Shadow, and Rouge....You'll see them all again. You're just a little under the weather." Sonic told him softly. He walked to the side of the tower and jumped off. He landed on his feet and sped off.

Justin's wall of ice faded, and the ice demon lunged at Vergil with a claw.
Vergil saw an opening in Justin's attack, and rushed him, impaling him on Yamato, the blade barely missing his heart.
Justin spit up blood, then fell to the floor again. He wasn't dead, but he was in serious pain. He then looked to Rouge. "Get out of here....run." He warned her.
Dante moved to stop his brother, but was once again kcoked down.
Vergil then turned to Rouge. "Your time has come, bat. Your little frozen champion won't get in the way. He will learn the pain of loss, as I have, for that is the only way a half breed can gain power." He said, walking towards her, Yamato covered in Justin's blood.
Justin glared at Vergil, screaming with desperation. "GET AWAY FROM HER!"

Rouge was no longer flying. She'd touched down, and was staring at the ground. She was shaking. From both sorrow, and anger. Her hands were in such tight fists her nails were digging into her skin. "You......God....Damn.......b*****d...." She said through clenched teeth(and fangs, don't forget the fangs). "I don't....need.....men....to protect me.....Whatever the ******** may think....." The bat seemed to be trying her best not to scream at Vergil.

Vergil simply sighed. "I admire your will to stand alone. You would make an excellent demon. Sadly, that is impossible. Anyway, you can strike at me, if you wish. All you'll do is prolong the little show I'm about to put on. He said, ready to make a move.
Justin knew Rouge was a spitfire, but pride alone wouldn't beat Vergil! He had to get up! He had to help!
Dante couldn't really help at this point. If he tried to attack Vergil, Rouge might take a hit.

Rouge unclenched one of her fists, raising her hand infront of her face, fingers outstretched. She pulled an Espio when claws came out of her knuckles. "You've pissed off the wrong bat for the last time, Vergil....Try and hit me. I dare you...."

Vergil said nothing. He simply shook the blood off of Yamato, then summoned more swords, firing them at Rouge.
