Well I've found that even if I do plan an outfit out, I tend to change it when I'm actually making it. So, I just buy fabric and sort out what to do with it later. :3

i change things occasionally, but i tend to stick pretty closely to a design once i've drawn it up.

I do to a point. If it's still kind of fluid in my head, I'm alot more likely to actually make it. If I plan it out, it feels like a chore, and I never finish it. @_@ I'm weird about stuff like that. It's why I don't want to WORK in an art or fashion career. I like both, as hobbies and I don't mind being paid to do them in theory, but when it comes down to it, I feel alot more pressure when there's money on the line. It's why I tend to do bartering or trades. I don't feel the same sort of pressure, but I do feel the proper obligation I should associate with receiving, and giving in return.

i think i'm your polar opposite. getting it completely finalized in design is incentive to finally get started making it. xD and i love getting paid, though i do a lot of crafting just for the satisfaction.

That and we're both mostly grown up now. :3 It's easier to get along with each other since we're both out of that teenage drama stage. :3
