Alcharius was feeling rather tense. Had Jinx honestly not noticed the similarity between what he'd told Felix all that while back and he'd later said to Jinx herself? Or was she just wondering if Felix had a deeper point before rounding on him? He hoped the former, but feared the latter...

"Then?" Felix repeated, sounding a bit surprised. "Well, I took the hat. But long story short, it was a trick. Spent the entire time whingeing about having to return to its owner, even though it had begged me to take it in the first place. In the end it just vanished, and I had to find that blasted jewel on my own." She crossed her arms and tapped her fingers, now glaring openly up at Alcharius.

The hat swallowed. "Ah... there is a good explanation for this, I promise..." it delayed nervously. "You see... I wasn't trying to leave you, Mister Marigold! I was stolen. Oh, it was most cruel. I know I whined a lot before then, but you can't hold that against me - I, uh, well, my situation is, uh, complicated. Particularly with those dwarves. Yes. Well then, you see, the complaining is irrelevant... because I was stolen! Yes!"

"As if I buy that," Felix snorted, rolling her eyes.

"Mmmmph!" Alcharius squealed in muffled protest.

Felix however raised a rather surprised and somewhat sceptical eyebrow. "... are you sure that hat has no sex drive whatsoever?" she asked Jinx frankly. "Because if it does then that's hardly a punishment for it."

There were still muffled squawks coming from beneath Jinx's shirt. "Regardless, I think you're going to have a bit of a hard time explaining to every single passer-by why your breasts are apparently emitting constant cries of protest," Felix commented.

Felix looked at Jinx, then gave a sigh. "You really like him, huh?" she asked, ignoring the continuing shouts from under the White elf's shirt.

"Ugh..." Felix groaned, rolling her eyes. "I hate it when he does this. He flirts with chicks all the time, relying on his good looks to get him some quick action. I keep telling him he can't just do that to them if he doesn't want to ever get serious, but no...! Jeez. It used to drive me insane even before-" She cut herself all of a sudden. She was shocked how close she'd just come to saying... it...! "Well. It drives me insane," she muttered, leaving it at that.

Hitomi joined the conversation by saying "Felix is right, I have known Bryce for a long time now, and he really does rely on his good looks to talk to the chicks and get some quick action.
