Tao couldn't help but cradle Alex as he held her close. "Thank you.",he said closing his eyes, resting his head on top of hers. He wanted to get her away from there before she changed her mind, so he took her hand and intertwined their fingers and began to lead her away. "But we need to get away from here, and hope Marcie can keep the Ace preoccupied long enough.",he said quietly, hoping they weren't being watched. "Perhaps we can keep you at Rabbits house for awhile.",he said looking over at her with a smile.

Alex nodded her head, then she remembered the ring, she looked down and noticed it was on her pinky, When did I put it on?, she looked up at Tao, "Matt said as long as the ring was on me, I would be safe.....I think it safe to go back to Marcie's." she said softly.

Tao was uneasy about taking Alex back to Marcie's place,"You sure?",he said, tilting his head, then looking at the ring on her finger.

Matt unlocked the door and lead them in. "Sorry for the mess, i just got through finished packing..." There were boxes everywhere. The bed was striped to the matress. Matt began to stack boxes by the door. "Make yourself at home, mate..."

Marcie looked at the room, so that was why he locked it? if he had said something sooner she would have help him pack but oh well, "I'll go get you some sheets" Marcie said in a low voice heading back to her room.

Matt started to pick up boxes and take them downstairs. He grunted and moaned, his head pounding with pain.

Marcie came back with the sheets and prepared the bed for Ace she then started to help Matt carry the boxes so he would end faster, she carried 2 boxes at a time.

As Marcie worked, Ace leaned against the wall, tapping it in a rhythmical pattern. That gun is going to stay hidden where it is on my body. I'll sleep with my pocket knife under my pillow. I get the feeling someone is going to take advantage of the fact that there is going to be a sleeping Spade in the house.

Matt looked at marcie. "Hey, Marchy, I just wanted to say thanks...Ya know...for all these years...." he said, lookin down. He leaned over and pecked her cheek.

Marcie was carrying the last box at that moment, she closed the door behind her and she placed it down as Matt came to her and peeked her cheek "No problem" she said taking Matt's face on her hands and placing her forehead on his "I'm sure going to miss you"

Matt blushed. "Ya know, Marchy, I'm just going down the road a block..." he said, smiling. HE reached into a box and pulled out his hat. "I must be off to start the tea shop..." He took a box and walked out the front door.

"Well, I would help but I need to clean up the breakfast mess and get dressed on some decent clothes, oh! when you are done with the boxes, The white king is waiting for you on the garden table" She said making her way back in to the house before matt could reply.
