Tenmou nodded. He still had a streak of impertinence to him, even when learning, though learning new things was when he was at his most...vulnerable, although that's a bad word to use. He wasn't vulnerable, simply more approachable than normal. Had he not been learning, LT would have gotten a death glare, a couple snide words.

He looked at the board, then heard his second statement, and his head swivelled back to look at LT. Well, that was simple. Show up for class three times, learn two jutsu that were mildly useful, and become a Genin. Brilliant. He looked back at the board. This stuff would be here when he got back.
"I take it even I can take the test?"

He did have a fair point, Tenmou conceded after a moment's deliberation. Best to be as prepared as possible to become a Genin. If he was to put his plan in motion, he'd need to be a Genin. He'd need the ability to have relatively unrestricted movement, better jutsu, more chakara control...all of the perks.
The headband would be an issue however.

He turned back to the board and began to read anew. The rote memorization of everything was helping with this. He was able to read it a lot easier now. Water manipulation...definitely useful, he figured. Create a water source, manipulate water in general...he preformed the handseals, mouthing their names, before attempting it for his first try.

"Mizu sojouu." he mumbled after preforming the handseals and concentrating his chakara, as needed. Of course, nothing happened. He was frustrated as usual, and attempted it again. Again, nothing happened at all. After a third attempt he growled in frustration, and then realized something.
He had to "tell" the jutsu what to do.

He preformed the handseals again, this time, as he concentrated his chakara, he concentrated on sending the puddle of water at his feet from the dismissed clone across the room in a ball. That seemed relatively simple. "Mizu sojouu." he mumbled. This time, the water lifted up into a rough ball shape and whipped through the air, over two desks, before falling apart and splashing across the ground. Definitely not his plan but at least he had manipulated it.

Masaki awoke several hours later, though he couldn't tell. Even so, his energy had returned in full. He stood and brushed the dirt off his pants, and looked around. He was planning to return home, but the ground seemed to work just fine. Beds were never quite right for him anyways. "I guess I should hurry over to the Kage's place then." It would really suck if he missed the exams!!"

Once everybody left, Tenmou was thankful. He could continue his studies in peace and quiet, and not be interrupted by asinine small talk, or have people stare at him as he worked. He had just started to read up on more jutsu to preform when he heard footsteps on the roof. He looked up, then at the window when somebody flipped inside. He drew one of his kukri with lightning speed, holding it in an icepick grip. He looked over the newcomer with apprehension.

You didn't sneak up on Tenmou, if you valued your ******** if I know where the students went. Teacher went to the Mizukage's office." Tenmou said, a hard look in his gray eyes, after a long pause while he debated whether this person could be trusted or not.

Even then, his knife was still out.

Shaoran

The sounds of footsteps are heard as Shaoran walked into the classroom. He hadn't been here in quite a long time, not since the infection outbreak caused him to leave his teaching duties to go protect the villagers. He took out his student list and looked at the on kid with his dagger out. He looked at the picture and name.

"Put the weapon away, Tenmou. The classroom is not a place to have those out."

Tenmou, tired of training the jutsu, had been sitting crosslegged on a desk, cleaning one of his thin daggers, which he used to pierce armour, usually. He didn't get to use them often...mostly he used his kukri.
He looked up at the man and said nothing, looking back at his knife before speaking.
"Like I care." he said, drawing the knife across the whetstone.
"I'm allowed to care for my weapons. Keep 'em sharp. Sharp knives save lives." he commented with a grin.

That wasn't fair, berating a guy for not holding his weapon properly when he wasn't holding it for combat. Tenmou glared at him. "No s**t. I was cleaning and sharpening it." he said. He moved to pick up his knife, and when he stood back up, the curled edge of his kukri rested perfectly against his neck.
"Don't you tell me how to fight with a knife." he growled.
"I'm Tenmou. I'm a student. And ******** if I know what class I have." he said, retracting the knife and sheathing it, as well as the dagger.

Downer froze. he knew I was up here? Guess he's good after all he decided as he gripped the edge of the building and flipped inside. He landed carefully and stood tall. My name is Damien Oweno. I'm a Genin. I don't know what you mean, but I like fighting melee fights. Hand to hand or with weapons. I'm not sure if that's what you were asking. He scratched his head, slightly confused.


((actually, i was on the roof if you read the post >.>, and this isn't for an exam, its for a squad placement competition with hello kitty mugs at stake....but I'll work with you. ))
