Mao tried to keep a steady pace but that obviously wasn't going to happen. He noticed some people staring at them, but it didn't bother him as much.

Nathan smiled at people who were watching, then went back to picking out vegetables. "Hmmm. Broccoli, mushrooms... Mao, would you prefer corn on the cob or baby corn?" he mused, turning to Mao with a serious expression.

Nathan tugged Mao around until he faced him. "Mao, I won't shove food down your throat, and if you really don't like what I make then I'll make something else..." he murmured, pecking his cheek gently.
