"Why is it that people assume I don't enjoy life when I have my nose in a book? That's just mean. There are elves who are far less engaged in life than I." Shaking his head. "Gale she's a wood elf. The forest is what we do." Followed by a chuckle. "You're always hungry but I'm sure mother can fix something up for us all from what we caught.
Nillrik gave a yelp as he smacked his head as he hit the bottom of the stairs, having fallen from the top of them when the ground had jolted. Giving a hiss of pain he rubbed at the back of his head and righted himself where he sat in the floor. What was that?

"Do I have to have a reason other than hunting? I enjoy being around the trees and I was interested in a particular type of species that likes to roost in the area. I was watching them."
Lateef reached down and picked up his grandson, gently setting him on his feet and kneeling down to study his eyes. "You alright?" He'd felt the shift as well and hurried into the hall to assess any possible damage. Lharika had promised that she'd get back to him as soon as she had some answers but he was beginning to think he was going to have to visit the young couple in Carris instead.

He was still holding his head and hissing as his grandfather came to help him up from where he had fallen. Rubbing at his head he brought a hand around to check his fingers for blood, finding them clean. "I think I am...what was that about?"

One worm has dug it's way through, and that break had cause a domino that created a sinkhole. now there were probably a dozen of the things, snatching magical items, jewelry, clothes, weapons, armor, anything they could swallow and hold in their bodies, that got thicker. they'd bring it back and then the golems could difuse it or siphon off of it.

NoahKai Galesen looked at Nessa and he gave a small nod. "Yes, you're both right. I'm sorry it was just the odds of that happening was a bit big, but I guess it can all be placed as a simple coincidence." He grinned at Luccan a bit, giving the wood elf a nudge. "Of course I'm always hungry. I need to keep my energy up or I won't be able to do even half of the work I do now." Rubbing his stomach as it decided to growl again. "I do love wood elf cooking though, so I think it be nice to have some today."

He had a pretty good idea but he didn't want to scare his grandson. "I don't know. Maybe the plane is settling in for the next however many years. Sometimes it shifts and groans just like I do in my old age." Wrapping an arm around the boy's shoulders and keeping him close to his side in case he did more damage than was immediately obvious. "We'll just see if it happens again or not." And then he was personally going to go track down those royals and let them in on a few secrets. Silly kids.

"Oh you do not." Still rubbing at his head and letting his grandfather keep hold of him and lead him about. "Why is this a wait and see thing? I would hope it's not a wait and see...I don't want to wait and see if I fall down the stairs again." Was not a fun fall to make.
"Gale, in the forest the chance of running into another wood elf that you know if fairly high. We're wanderers and we're all close as well. Just like trees I suppose you could compare us to." Crossing his arms lightly. "I heard you, I heard you. Mother, Galesen's stomach is threatening us all. Care to save us?" Which of course meant an hour later they were all munching on roasted meats they had caught earlier in the day.

He chuckled at his grandson. "No, Nilli. We'll have to wait and see if the plane decides to move again. Just be careful on the stairs for the next little while or avoid them altogether. It's a good thing you didn't get hurt worse."
Shaking her head at the silly elf, she glanced over at Luc. "Non wood elves don't seem to understand our obsession with the trees." Food sounded delicious and she knew how yummy Bell's cooking was. "This is absolutely delicious, Lady Arrowwood. Thank you very much." Chewing as she contemplated the guests at the table. "What brings you here, Gale? Or I should ask all three of you."
"Food? I'm always up for food especially when it's prepared by a beautiful elf such as you." Giving Luccayden's mother a charming smile and promptly digging into the delicious fare. "We came to bother you, Nessa. You know how we are about women. Can't stay away."
"You're so full of it."

Galesen frowned a little before they ushered off to go get fed. "I can't help it, an elf like me needs a lot of food so I can work." And soon enough he had said food in front of him, and was happily eating too. "Thank you Lady Arrowwood" And back to munching for a bit before Nessa spoke up. When he finished with what was in his mouth Galesen wiped his mouth with a napkin and turned to Nessa. "Well aside from Kyst being is ever so charming self, we came here to just hunt after hanging around my place. Today was just one of those day to trek through the woods."

"I have a bump on my head." Rubbing said bump that was hidden in his hair and squinting some at the tender feeling that produced. "Does it move around a lot sometimes?"
"Well, to be fair we don't understand the other elves' obcessions with their own things sometimes." Always the peace maker when it called for it. Smiling though as his mother gave a chuckle at comments as if they were everyday things to hear and he looked back to his group of well fed friends. "I was just around for advice...they followed me home." Chuckling at his own way to put things.

Lateef gently moved the boy's hands to the side and studied the bump closely then gave a nod. "You do indeed. It'll be alright in a few days as long as you don't suddenly get dizzy or feel sick to your stomach. Let me or your grandmother or your mother know if that does happen, right away, okay?" Tilting his head as he thought about it. "It hasn't in many, many years. Usually it means something is happening beneath the surface which could be Daimos and could be something even they have no control over." Frowning and catching the boy as everything moved again and a few pictures fell off the wall. "Yes, that doesn't bode well..."
"Advice on what? You're bleeding again, Luc." Tossing over her napkin so he could wipe his nose and she went back to her own food. "It's not every day a sea elf and Arch elf decide to hunt in a Wood elf's domain. Though if you were following Luccayden then I suppose that makes sense."
Stepping back on home soil again, she released Dhairiss and moved her gaze to Ty just as the ground shook again. "We need to get over there and stop this before we have more problems than we bargained for. Dhairiss, are you planning on staying with your grandparents, your aunt, or us?"

"Yes, because we love to follow our lovely wood elf back home, just to keep him from his studies." Giving Luccan a small push before he ate a little more of his food. But when Nessa ask even more questions Galesen looked to her and gave a shrug. "Well I had a few questions I wanted to ask, and Luccan seemed the best person to do so, Kyst just showed up as usual." A blink though as he was related to the Arch elves, first time that happened. "Oh I'm no Arch elf Nessa, I come from a different plane entirely. But thanks for thinking that." Smiling again before taking a sip of his drink.

"Or poke at it right?" They were always telling him not to poke at things as was his habit. "I'll let you know." Because they worried and he didn't need them worrying anymore than they usually did. He blinked however as things shook again, displacing items and an elf or two once more. "I think the plane is angry."
Again? Granted this was normal for him and the slightest thing made it happen. But taking the napkin he tended to his nose. No one needed blood at the table during a meal, that was just nasty. Unless you needed blood like that, but they didn't. "Apparently where Gale comes from, they don't culture and sub divide like we do here. I think his people just share a general vein of looks among them all. Right Gale?" -- "Um...I hadn't really thought about it..."
Tyyrael frowned as the vibrations were clearly felt even here. No that wasn't good. "We can figure that out later. Dhairiss, I want you to stay at brigade headquarters for the time being. We have work to do and no time to waste." Touching a hand to Lhia's shoulder and with a scribe of a rune they were back in the mining camp and he was wiping some blood from his cheek as it had trailed down from his eye.

"If you poke at it, it's only going to hurt you. And we certainly don't want you hurting yourself if you don't have to." His grandson was probably right and he had a feeling it had something to do with Lark and Nyc's sudden disappearance as well as the rumor that Ty and Lhia had been involved in something huge. "It could be. It doesn't like being messed with and some powerful mages forget that."
"Really." That was kind of strange, now wasn't it? He wasn't Arch but then he probably wasn't Wood or Moon or anything else either. So what was he? Just surface elven? Did they have Obsidians on his plane or not? "Oh, so that makes you...just an elf?"
She very nearly smacked him. And hard. He knew better than that, didn't he? "If we didn't have such an important crisis on our hands, I would have to beat you for that, Ty. You're never going to get better if you don't stop using those runes." But turning her attention back to the caves, she shook her head. "I wasn't paying attention. Do you know how to use whatever we got?"
