Renault strode along with her, managing to keep up although Melethia was moving a bit quickly. ". . . True, but. . . at least we had a good time while it lasted." He wasn't exactly mad; a trifle disappointed, but no more than that. Of course, it seemed Melethia was, however. Hmm. . . perhaps he could do something about that. One hand reached out and grasped the woman's, and Renault gave her a smile. "Here. Come with me. I'm sure we can find something better."

"Alright." Melethia gave a smirk, "Lets see what we can find." She was up for it.

"Then, this way." The bishop moved to one side, heading towards the stairs. There was one spot in the house that he could get a perfect view, and to cheer Melethia up he was going to try something different. "Up here; it's not too far away."

"Where are we going Father Renault?" Melethia asked. She was quite confused as she followed him.

"Mmm. . . you'll see in a moment," the bishop said cryptically, moving down the hall. Now, which one. . . ah. He paused, then opened a door at the very end, then moved out, bringing Melethia with him.
Apparently they had found their way onto a balcony on the east side of the house; it was still dark, though it was beginning to lighten now. Renault moved to one side with a private smile. ". . . Wait for just a moment, and you'll see."

"Ok......." Melethia was a bit unsure of what was going on. The balcony was a nice place to be. Away from whatever was going on elsewhere in the house.

Fiora woke up suddenly hearing Renault and Melethia walk past she wondered quietly where they were going. Where are they going she wondered quietly. "Oh well" she said. Going downstairs Fiora said hello to Ed and Valter. "What's wrong?" she quietly asked Ed.

The bishop smiled a secret smile and spoke a few words under his breath. And just as he finished, the first hint of the rising sun peeped over the horizon; and, conveniently, a single ray of light illuminated Melethia on the platform, perfectly capturing the moment. . . the thing most easily noticeable was her hair, which seemed almost like crimson flame in the light. "Beautiful," Renault murmured, though it wasn't clear what he was referring to.

"The sunrise is beautiful." She said with a smile. "Thank you Father Renault." She looked into the sunrise and thoughts of Soren came into her mind. She sighed with some sadness.

The bishop blinked, and after a moment moved up next to Melethia and gently put an arm around her shoulders. ". . . I'm sorry. I know you must be feeling a bit lonely right now. . ." But for some reason, Renault felt that he should comfort her. He wasn't entirely sure why; but perhaps he understood her a bit better than he understood the others.

A look of surprise crossed the man's face, but was replaced in a moment with a gentle smile. "Why, thank you, Melethia. . . I don't believe anyone's told me that before. But of course, I'll keep you company. It wouldn't be right for me to simply leave you alone, would it?"

W-what? Renault tensed for a moment, not having expected that. He didn't usually have much physical contact with others. But after a few moments, he relaxed, returning the hug softly. "You're welcome, of course. . . it simply feels like the right thing to do." He smiled at her. "I'll stay for as long as you'd like."

Melethia didn't quite let go of Renault. She had started crying. She had let her emotions go now.
