He leaned on his staff. He knew Lunair would find nothing, as the stones of the temple acted as a sponge, soaking up trace energy.

Lunair suddenly seemed to shift, every feather on him moving, but then there was a crack, his anger towards Jesse fueling his speed, the bright blur that was him streaking from place to place in the temple, never lingering, but never missing anything, searching the temple in the course of a minute completely, making sure to leave markers to know if the wisp moved after him at any point, and eventually reaching the cellar, passing over where the wisp hid. there, he stopped, getting an odd feeling, but after looking for a moment in the cellar, he left, disappearing, reappearing back in the room with the others. "Where is he."

Kir went on alert when Lunair did that. Magic pulsed off him as he braced himself for an attack that didn't come. So far, Lunair was being more of a hostile than Jesse.

"You know well who." Lunair said, trying to get ahold of himself. "and if you dont return my son, I will bring down a wrath you could only imagine." Lunair said, his band appearing, as he shifted back to normal form. the band had expanded, a black section appearing on it where there had been none.

"I'm afraid I don't." He stopped, leaning against his staff as he listened to Lunair, before he started laughing, banging his stick against the ground. "Oh.. that's rich... that I could only imagine.. Me, wrath Incarnate... Do yourself a favor. Leave before you mae yourself appear even more foolish." He turned to the rest. "But before you leave, I have something to say. I know... there is a gathering in Mythanos, of evil. I would like to lend my considerable aid to stopping them." He held out one paw to Lily.

Lunair's rage grew, but he couldnt strike out at this man, not without proof. He knew! knew! that Jesse had his son somewhere around here, but there was just no way to prove it. as Lunair thought through this, the black on his band began to advance around it, his black wingtips spreading up his wings slowly, but visibly. in an attempt to calm himself focused on pre, but the moment he turned, dismissing him, so casually, Lunair's mind shot to the memory of pretoria now, of her sorrow after their son was drawn away... and it was all it took for the darkness on the band to expand all the way. gripping his sword, and thought of his currently broken family in mind, the band returned to his skin, and with it, Lunair's aura turned pitch black, his wings and hair turning darker than they had when he first appeared in Verspya.

Lunair's rage spiked when Jesse used the phrase "my son" and the band suddenly expanded, the same way it did during the earlier form change. but when it did, it was slower, and Lunair let out a scream, a scream not of rage, but of pain, as his entire being was changed, every trace of light from him being poured into the band, compressed, and locked away, by his own inner darkness. the band passed off his arm, moving to a halo position, then down, two horns growing from his forhead, then, down further, over his wings, the feathers coming free, falling down in pools of blood, as the holes bled, then the lower two wings moving together, fusing together, into a single appendage, moving down a little on his spine, turning into a viscious, thick, spined tail. his legs also bent backwards at the knee joint, his entire body changing. unfolding his now leathery wings, his face was clear. it was beastial, a snout, all signs of sentient intelligence either gone, or buried. before he could lunge at Jesse though, the band broke, five segments locking onto his limbs, (both legs, both arms, and the tail) and two onto his neck and wings, forming chains to the ground, binding him there.

Kir determined that Lunair was the threat instead of Jesse. A barrier formed around Kir and Lily and he raised his hand towards the creature. Now he had intent to kill this thing before anything else happened. He instructed Lydia to get ready for battle.

the creature that had been Lunair lashed at the chains, trying to reach Jesse, straining, the shackles cruelly cutting into his wrists, as he struggled, the chains groaning, but they didnt give, and he couldnt move far. was grasping at the source of his rage, instinctively, trying to tear apart the creature before him.
