Xeks-? And is that not what I'd be doing? Does it have an yspecific part concerning nurses? Cause something about self defense and defense of patients is what I remember...
Sean-> Combatants DON'T sign. Countries do. AGES before wars are even expected. It's like a code. Like how you always give up the front seat to someone older than you, or how you totally lie about having just seen someone down the hall if you know the person who's looking for them will get them in trouble.

That is what I was getting at. Neither the Duchey of Zeon nor the Federation signed the Geneva Convention. They did not exist yet.

I'm just saying, they did not sign so they "Technically" are not bound by it. We have that same problem with certain nations around the world who do not beleive they have to abide by it.

Well I wouldn't say they didn't sign the convention, but then again, Sean has a point that they didn't or just threw it out the window with their war tactics

But see that's what Canada and other bigger less third-world- like countries are for.
They guilt everyone else into following it or they strafe their war parties with air attacks.... disapprove politically for ages. ninja
C'mooooooon that was a good one right???? Right!???!

The whole point of the Geneva convention is to stop pointless violence concerning P.O.W and injured people in general. o.e
Who wouldn't wanna sign up for that!? It's a quid pro quo type deal!

You also have to remember prisoners used to get tortured, or still do to this day. Geneva pact does apply to that but many nations don't follow that part, I know for a fact that the U.S. doesn't.

Yeah but they have to work at covering it up or they can get in trouble.
There's a latin saying out there that's only partly related to this conversation, but brings up an interesting point and does KIND of bring to mind- for me at least- the whole point of the Geneva convention...unless you take it into the context that the Geneva convention ARE the guards in which case I'm just pointing out a lack of general awareness...
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"Who will guard the guards" :p
Lol if you wiki it it's actually about marital fidelity. XD So go figure.

Yeah there is no Genevia convention, but isn't there some sort of Alaska convention that Zeon and Earth Federation signed?
Because if i remember right, in Gundam they were making a big deal about M'Quve wanting to nuke the enemy troops as a last resort.

No it was the Antarctic Treaty, which banned the use of nuclear weapons and the dropping of colonies on Earth.

Yeah Gundam 0083 had a basis on that pact, since the GP02a was in fact a MS with a nuc warhead payload.
Yeah though, one would think that they would have some sort of Geneva convention pact but then again, it was all out war against a group of fellow humans, and that never is humane.
