Mordranna nodded her reluctant agreement. "I remember the days of Vader," She then turned to the comm. "General Brunhildt to Hope Eagle, come in please," She then gave instructions to the crew of the frigate to rendevous with the derelict ship, and to board it. "It seems all clear," she added with a hint of worry.
She then gave R1 her comm frequency. "Here you go,"
And with that, she went her own way, grimly searching for survivors, if any.

The two Pirates sat in some seedy barin the Nal Hutta Capital nursing a couple drinks and trying to lay low. so far their search had come up empty in their quest to find a dealer for their items and Cale was feeling a mite irritated.
"Can you believe it? that damn Toydarian wanted the prize for half of what we could have sold it for through Legitimate markets!s" he took a swallow of his spiced ale and sighed. "that is, If we could find legit markets. Unloading a ton of military supplies isn't an easy Process if you don't have the right channels."
Alinn twirled her glass of Comet Duster and arched an eyebrow."Again I have to question your skills as a pirate. wouldn't a real pirate have 1. just taken the whole ship, and 2. would have gone some where else instead of here?"
Cale shook his head. "No, we couldn't have taken the whole ship. we're not big enough yet. no what we do is jack light freighters and swipe cargoes from the bigger ships until we build up a reputation. then we can abscond with whole gallofrees." he took another sip of ale and shrugged. "as for the second one, I feel a higher power may have demanded my presence here."
Alinn looked up from her drink curiously. "what? the Force?"
"oddly no. more like some guy at an antique computer in a galaxy far far away." Cale shrugged "weird huh?"
"weirder things do exist I suppose." The Brunette sipped her comet duster and leaned back in her seat. "So are we just going to sit here exchanging theories of supernatural penomenon or are we going to sell the damn cargo?"
"Shut up. Im thinking." Cale said as he looked into the amber liquid in his glass.

Something drew Cale's attention at the bar. a trio of well dressed humans seemed to be having a discussion. Cale wasn't too fond of the topic.
"wait here I gotta go tend to some buisness." He told his female cohort. standing up he walked over to where the humans were having their convorsation.
"Excuse me Gents. Mind if I ask what it is you're all talking about?" Cale said in a friendly tone.
One of the humans, a man who's bearing indicated a military background, smiled and nodded to the spacer.
"Why we were just discussing the Endor Myth." the military man said.
"Endor Myth? afraid I don't know what you're talking about."
The man nodded and took a sip of his drink. setting it down he addressed Cale. "well then you came at the right time. the Battle of Endor is a myth conjured up by the Rebellion for propaganda purposes. The Empire is still the true power in the galaxy and is as strong as ever."
Cale nodded as though he were intrigued. "Really? thats fascinating. but uh what about all the veterans of the battle?"
The man sighed and shrugged. "they have sadly been sucked into the propaganda so deep that they belive their own lies. The Fact of the matter is that the rebellion, no matter its strength could not have stopped the force assembled at Endor with all their greatest heroes still alive. Solo, Skywalker, Antillies, Ackbar, they all lived. and we are suposed to belive that not only did the Death Star blow up, but the Executor as well? and with the Emperor and Darth Vader as well? totally unbeliveable."
Cale Nodded. "Huh. I think I understand now. so you guys are part of the AEA?"
The man's Face parted in a Grin. "The Ante-Endor Assosiation? of course! have you heard of us?"
"Yes I have."
Before anyone could stop him Cale slammed his fist into the man's Grin, knocking him to the floor. As his friends watched the man's stunned descent to the cantina floor, The outlaw had punched the nearest of them in the stomach, the man hacking and coughing as he doubled over and dropped. he grabbed the last man by the collar and yanked him to eye level.
"Now you listen up you stupid pile of gundark s**t. I was at Endor. I saw it all. The way I see it, the only liars here are you sithin barves. You fail to realize your precious Empire is only a shadow of its former self. You Lost. you lost bad. and now you're not being very good sports about it. Now I could beat some reality into those air tight compartments you boys call skulls all day until it sinks in-hell that sounds like a great way for me to blow off some steam-but Im a busy man. But I do have a bit of advice before I return to my buisness. Pull your heads out of your asses. you're making the Reminants look bad." Cale punched out the man he was holding and let him drop onto the ground with the rest of his buddies.
the outlaw walked back and sat down taking a sip of his spiced ale.
Alinn looked at him with a puzzled expression.
"Wait...you couldn't have been at Endor! you're like twenty one or something!"
"Twenty two. and infact I was."
she ran the numbers and her eyes goggled. "That means..."
"Yeah. I was eleven." he drained the rest of his drink and set it on the table with a tap."Can't really say it was a fond childhood memory."

Angel split up from Mordranna down one corridor and began searching the other side of the ship, finding nothing but dead bodies and the scars of blaster fire and grenade explosions on the floor and walls. After checking a few of the areas R1 mentioned through her com, she finally found a survivor. He was barely alive, having been incapacitated, and burn marks show where he took blaster hits, a few nearly hitting vital organs. Barely able to stay concious, he was able to make out a figure approach that wasn't the same as the one who attacked, but couldn't tell who it was, his vision being very hazy. " You... You must... be careful. There's a... madman aboard... the ship... " he said in a strained voice. Angel picked him up and began to carry him to the bridge. " He's mad I tell you... Just a... killing machine... Where... are you... taking me? " " To the bridge. " Angel said. " We've secured it enough and regained some control of the ship, it's the safest place as of now. " The Loyalist officer was silent for a moment, then tried to speak up again. " Wait... There are others on the... other side of the ship... Maybe they're still... alive too... " " Don't worry. I have a friend already searching the other side for survivors. " Moments later, she arrived back at the bridge, putting the officer down by Cajin. Facing him, the officer became shocked and passed out. Angel went to R1. " After you tell Mordranna the last place on her side of the ship to search, tell her to get back here. Her Force healing power is needed. " < Sure thing. I suggest you hide when help arrives though. They will be Republic forces, yes? I don't think they'll welcome the idea of a Sith encounter, even if you mean them no harm. Plus, what would become of me if they try to take you in? Also, there's Phoenix--- > " I get your point. Just let me know if a ship docks or something. I'll know it's them. "

Bass sighed and drummed his fingers on the table."Okay, ruling out the whole Cale bounty head, let's see if we can get work somwhere. You know,an odd job or two.Maby working as a goon or a soldier for a while.Running through Nal Hutta streets like that should get somone's attention. And it's not every day you find a mandalorian is it?"He looked up from the table to the two droids."Well Bass,it's either the Holonet or a direct contact with employers."Oz pointed out."Hmm...I guess we could post a request for work or work for the highest bidder."Bass fiddled with his 'lucky slug casing'.Thinking it was 'lucky' because what looked like 'bang' was carved into it in Arubesh."You still carrying that thing?"Oz questioned."Of course."Bass got up and left the crew lounged and headed for the cargo bay."Get us to Coruscant Oz."He ordered and shut the door behind him.

"Understood, I'll go there now," Mordranna said, as R1 hailed her. It seemed that many of the pods have been ejected. Among the bodies, she saw a familiar face. The officer she healed earlier. His eyes were opened with an expression of sheer horror. By the Force! Who did this to you? she sadly inquiried mentally, not expecting an answer.
And, there she had it. A young woman covered in blood, barely breathing and conscious. "You there ... are you here to help?" She then looked suspiciously at Mordranna, drawing a blaster. "S-stay right there,"
"Hey, relax." Mordranna showed the survivor her hands, both of which were now weaponless. "I'm here to help,"
"In a Sith's eye, Republic scum!" the woman growled.
It seemed that Mordranna didn't have much of a choice. Waving her hand, even as she would have prefered not to do so, she gently suggested, "You will put away the weapon,"
"I will ... put away the weapon,"
"I mean you no harm,"
"You mean me no harm,"
Mordranna then relaxed her Force power. "Can you tell me if there's anyone else here?"
The woman weakly looked around. "I think there's a couple more here ... yes,"
The pair then traveled to another section, where there were two men, one barely alive, and another alert and wary. "The madman! He was here!"
"Relax. I'm here to get you out of here," Mordranna gently told the hysterical man.
The unconscious man came to, barely alive, but able to talk. "L-listen ... you're Republic, aren't you?" he warily enquired.
"Yes," Mordranna answered.
"Republic, Sith, it makes no difference," the man said with resignation.
"Is there anyone else alive?"
"No, it seems it's just us," the man gasped. With that, he expired.
Mordranna then looked to the two remaining survivors. "It seems I was too late," she sighed, closing the dead man's eyes. "Let's get you two out of here, and to safety,"
The woman still regarded Mordranna warily. "But, you're Republic. Can we trust you?"
"I won't leave you," Mordranna promised.
"We don't seem to have much choice," the man sighed.

Mordranna then reached the bridge. "It seems we had a little luck here," she warmly regarded Angel.
The man that was hysterical before went ape-sith on seeing Cajin. "I-it's ... h-h-him!"
"What?" Mordranna queried.
"He's the madman! You have to do something!" he cried out before fainting.
The woman drew her blaster again. "I'll take care of this," leveling her weapon at Cajin's prone form.
"No, don't!" Mordranna commanded. "He's not your enemy,"
"In a bantha's eye," she snarled. And then, she was distracted by seeing Angel. "Lady Valycia! What are you doing here?" she barely gasped her query.

(( Since the Sith version of the mind trick is supposed to be confusion and not clarity, I'm trying to word it appropiately. ))

Angel attempted to use a Force power she never practiced. " Do I look like Darth Valycia? Are you so sure she's me? Can't several people simply look alike? " The survivors, in their half-panic state, were easier to persuade with the mind trick. " I see. Yes, you can't be her. She would be aboard the Black Void, not here. " the woman said. < A ship is approaching. > R1 chimed in. Angel turned to Mordranna. " I better leave now. You can take it from here. " With that, Angel and R1 made their way to the hangar and left in the Sundered Rose before the Republic vessel arrived.

"That barve isn't dropping off the attack. He's persistant," Gunny muttered, but still too loudly.

"If I hear one more thing about that damned fighter, I'll.," Hudson started before Neb interrupted.

"Shut up, both of you. Gunny, if he's bothering you that much, you have permission to fire the net. Launch code Tanaab."

Gunny pulled a lever down and pressed a small button, opening up another small opening in the top of the Kapella. The Kapella dove towards the atmosphere of Coruscant, with fighters following. Gunny picked off what remained, leaving the Defender to fend for itself. Everything began heating up, as the atmosphere made the ship drag. A small gun popped out of the opening, revealing a weapon much like the one seen on the back of a snowspeeder. It fired, releasing an ionization net about 50 feet in diameter, at around 6000 feet per second.

"Let's see him dodge that one," Gunny stated, as the Kapella pulled up towards space again.

"What the sith?!" Imperius cursed, as all his systems suddenly failed him in orbit over the planet.

"Kriffing stars," was all he managed to get out before he devoted all his Force power to slow the Defender down enough to make an even landing on the planet.

"Fare you well, Angel," Mordranna simply replied.
With that, she went to the boarding airlock and greeted the medical personell form the Hope Eagle, carrying Cajin's prone form aboard. "Let's go," she told the crew, as she made her way to her own fighter to return to the fray.
Once in space, she gave the order for the Squires to launch again.
"Squire lead to Squire Squadron: all report in,"
Once all the Squires chimed in, she then lead them to a corvette that was taking heavy fire from a swarm of the droid fighters. "Drive them back, but no killings unless you have no other choice,"
"Understood," came the reply from one of the A-wings.
She then noted the familiar shape of the Kapella on the horizon. "Neb, long time no see." she hailed him, even as she made note of a TIE Defender making a slow drop towards Coruscant.

The med team rushed Cajin to the medbay, stripping off his armor as they went, but, as the insulating sleeve along his right arm was fused and burnt, they left that section on until it could be safely removed.

In the medbay, quickly prepped him and ran him through a bacta unit and med scanner.
His condition was fairly stable, despite his injuries.

"The patient will recover; he has already been partially healed, and he heals quickly. Simple observation is recommended. He may have some damage to his right eye, but it is too early to tell at this point. The burns will most likely scar. His prosthetic leg is being repaired, but a full replacement will be necessary for optimal functioning." was the report.
It continued "Patient shows scarring and signs of injury across his body. Inital scans seem to indicate that some organs may be replacements or artifical."

***

Floating unconsious in the tank, Cajin stirred fitfully.

"Come on, we've got to get out of this place, Caj." said ZH-0221, as she sat across from RH-2302 in the mess hall.
"The Service is going to sith, anyway..."
"You said it. Look, Hotuna's disorganized as all sith, and I've got some others already lined up to get out; a pilot, too. Come on Caj, you with us? We could use you."
"Heh, why the sith not." he said, shaking her hand.
"That's the spirit; look out Galaxy, here we come!"

Angel focused on the Dark Lord's location through the Force and flew in that direction, just in time to see him fall to the planet. She avoided all the other ships as she followed, descending to the planet's surface. < Good idea. With his Defender in its current state, he won't have a quick way off the planet without us. I would advise to stay alert for persuers, but the Republic forces seem to be ignoring us altogether. > " You can thank Mordranna for that, R1. Hopefully, this will be the final battle of this war, and we can finally have peace in the galaxy. " < One can only hope. >

"Mordranna, don't waste too much time on dillying with captured starcruisers. We don't have time for games. The," Neb was cut, as another MC-80's com channel went static and the com frequencies all scrambled to hail him, "Hudson, calm the chatter. Anyways... Oh shut up. You have just as much authority as I... Alright patch him through... Mordranna, I'm going to have to cut short for a minute..."

The fleet used multiple frequencies, but when everyone is in a panic, even the highest of people are flooded from their squad leaders. But something needed his attention.

"What is it?"

"General Wulf! Our... our soldiers have encountered Federation forces. But that's not the trouble... We were jumped.. a tall man... and a four armed droid... we..."

"Just hang tight. I'll be there immediately." Neb returned to Mordranna, "Mordranna, you need to handle..." He was cut short, as the relief force from Dac entered Coruscanti space. "You just got backup. Do not let them breach the lines. You're in command. Don't fool around. Now is not the time to be passive. Destroy the droid fighters, and only disable when you can. Do not hesitate to fire agressively against the Federation. They're out to kill. I know this does not seem like policy, especially mine, but we don't have much of a choice. Don't be distracted with saving lives on the Federation side. They're too numerous to disable them all. Do what you must to win. Remember, we cannot afford to lose this planet, or we will find ourselves in a much larger situation. Deaths of a few here may save millions later. We don't need another Alderaan."

With that, Neb dived towards the city planet, enacting a plan which he didn't want to engauge, but was forced to.

Cajin was taken from his tank and loaded onto a shuttle with a load of other casualties to free up space for the new wounded flooding into the medical frigate.
The shuttle, escorted by a pair of Y-wings and an X-wing, flew down to the surface of the planet.

***

Rocked in the ship by the stresses of rentry, Cajin remembered thousands of planetary landings, and countless battles.

His first fight, against space pirates...to Endor...to the innumerable battles of his mercenary career...to the brief fight on the bridge of the Star Cruiser...!

His fists clenched and his eyes opened briefly.
I won't lose again! I need more strength! he thought with surprising intensity, before his thoughts went hazy again.
Muzzily, he thought Wha...how long have I been out? glancing at the chronometer.
I've been on bacta before, but...I think I'm healing kinda fast... was what he thought before falling asleep again.

***

He awoke in a military hospital on the surface of Coruscant, with a new leg.

As he started to sit up, a medtech put a hand over him as she said "Easy soldier. You just got finished healing, and just got a new leg."

"Yeah, I've had both done before. I know I'm fine by now." he said, shrugging off her hand and swinging out of bed.

"Pff...somehow, I got the feeling you'd be saying that. You check out as fine. Just fill out the forms and you get your uniform and blaster. Looks like we've got landings around here, so you should help in the defense." she said, gesturing at the blaster pistol at her side.

Hah, drafted back into Civil Service. Can't say this isn't more of what I've been used to, though. Guess I'm in the milita.
"...fine." he said, filling out the forms and heading off to the supply rooms, where he was issued his equipment, and marched out of the base in a column of soldiers to join the belaguered defenders of the city.

***

Back at the hospital, the nurse was busy filing the forms from several of the discharged patients, when she came upon Cajin's file.
She dropped her datapad with a clatter.
Cajin Jorac? Caji?

"Point taken," Mordranna replied. The impromptu Squire Squardron formed on her, spearheading a phalanx of fighters from Dac. "You heard the man, everyone. Let's drive them away from Coruscant." Still, the order seemed hollow to her. Angel, Phoenix ... you two be safe. There's always the light,
"Teal Squadron, hassle the destroyers," She commanded the B-wings. "Skydarts, back them up,"
At that, a squadron of persistent TIE Interceptors pounced on the Squires, destroying one of the Y-wings. "We just lost Squire Three, people. Be on your guard," And in kind, the A-wings each blasted a Squint apiece.
Amethyst Squadron then pounced on the squints. "Here's your back up, ma'am," said that squad's lead, cutting through squints like a vibroblade through butter.
