"Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are, Up abopve the world so high" The long haired female paused in her song, taking a deep breath and biting her tongue for a moment as she pulled the rest of the words from deep in her subconcious "Like a Di..ya..mund..in thuh skiiiee." She paised again looking proud of herself this was the easy bit. Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you arree!" She claps to herself and grins watching the woman who served the food as she gave colche a happy aplause too. She giggles and openly blushes but she was proud of herself, now it was definately time for breakfast. the woman behind the counter served ehr a big english breakfast, toast, french and normal, eggs, bacon, sausages and beans, black pudding, tomatoes fried mushrooms and even a peice of haggis (a favourate of scots). She giggles and smiles at the lunch lady picking up a spoon, she was just learning to not use ehr hands, the lunch lady had been teaching her when she came in to eat, she hadn't quite gotten to knife and fork yet but spoons and sporks were great fun.

Lauren of course, was after food as she always was. The past few days she had spent in memory of her mother, so she seemed a bit down in mood as she had isolated herself from the rest of the island eating in her duplex and hiding in the jungle to commune with the only place she had ever found peace in her life... here.
She had decided that it had been long enough and hoped to find someone on the way to breakfast. Forcing herself towards the cafeteria, Lauren looked around for other islanders.
Her stomach growled audibly. Sometimes Lauren had to eat so much with her metabolism she grew sick of food.
Going into the cafeteria Lauren was happy to find Colche giggling at her spoon. She hadn't been able to spend time with Colche in forever and felt a little guilty about such.
"Hey Colche! Remember me?" She hoped Colche had and hoped she hadn't been mad Lauren hadn't kept her promise of eating together on a regular basis.

Colche turned at the familiar voice, ehr huge blue eyes landed on Lauren and she grinned broadly "Lauren!" she puurred softly "spoon" she presented the spoon proudly, she knew what it was called the lunch lady taught her. Colche was far from mad at Lauren for not appearing for a while. her life had become very iinteresting of late, so many new, unfuzzy people, one whom had frightend the livins out of her, but the others, well father Young taught her to perfom the next little trick. SShe puts her hands together and whispers "Thankyou Aubrey" before digging in to her meal half using the spoon and hanlf using her fingers before she turned back to lauren with a perfectly mucky maw. She wonderd if she had the words to ask Lauren lots of things, she had become far from lonely of late but she liked to spend time with her older friends, even if they always seemed to be busy, or sad, she didn't quite understand the sad part any way, she was so happy here.

Lauren giggled at Colche's dirty face and decided to join her in the messy eating. Back on the streets, she never had a spoon handy and it was kind of fun to put aside what was proper for what was more fun. Besides, no one had been around and it had been a while since she was able to act like the teenager she was.
Besides, little things like that made Lauren forget that she had been depressed.
She was curious who had taught Colche how to pray to Aubrey but didn't really care to ask. "Your ears!" Lauren pointed. "look at mine." She hoped Colche could notice she had changed. Her claws pointed to her ears then her eyes, "My eyes are different to!"
Maybe she shouldn't of been mopeing around her duplex and forcing herself alone. Someone being around had made her forget about her troubles and worries.

Colche tilted her head softly looking at Lauren she gave a smile "purty" she said simply smiling brightly and licking her fingers, spoons were all well and good but you still got dirty when you used one. Of course ehr plate was clean now and she was happy to watch and listen to lauren while she nibbled on a peice of toast. She had discoverd nibbling, it made things taste better, some times. She licks her lips "Lauren kay?" She tilted ehr head softly her big blue eyes filled with that gentle curiosity that only she really posessed, ehr head tilted like some giant cat looking at a bird out of a window. Strangely Colche, possibly by not having words, had gained a strange sixth sence about when people were sad, she also had a knack for cheering them up with ehr simple dialogue, sometimes actions spoke louder than words especially in her case.

Lauren smiled at Colche's comment. She was just too adorable, simple and naive. Becomming an animal seemed to fit her most out of all people.
When she asked if Lauren was alright, she was shocked. Was she that obvious?
"Don't worry Colche, I'll be fine." Lauren said as she reached over and patted Colche's head. "Just old memories." She didn't know if Colche would understand that but she wanted to be honest with her. Lauren forced a smile, her slightly pointed canines shining.

Colche pouted for a moment her brow creasing, she shook her head and sighed "happy, no sad Lauren" This was anothe rof her simple statements. Sh4e knew lauren wasnt in the state of 'alright, she would sort it out, if she could. It was hard not having the words to comfort her friend so she did the next best thing. She wiped her mouth on the nearest napkin, walked around the table and gave lauren a hug "Lauren no sad" she whispers holding the girl for a good five minuites before pulling away and smiling softly. She wanted Lauren to be happy again. It was no fun being sad.

Lauren smiled, patting Colche's arm as she hugged her. The length of time didn't make her that uncomfortable for some reason... she wondered if that was the mongoose comming out. Lauren did blush when her scent glands released at the first chance of marking a friend. It wasn't a huge scent, an odd musk but still very slight, but Lauren could smell it full force her brain imediatly recognizing it as 'mine'.
But Colche wasn't hers so... jeez this animal thing was confusing sometimes.
"Thanks Colche." Lauren said. She wished life was simple enough that a hug could take all the bad memories away. Sometimes Colche seemed to have that as a plus to her innocense.

Colche sighed softly. She smiles at Lauren and pets her on the head for a moment before returning to her seat and the half nibbled slice of toast. She swished she could do more, she just wasn't sure what she could do, maybe Lauren would like to come and see her rabbit! Bunny cheered everyone up "Seventeen lauren?"she grins broadly, her bright blue eyes thinking what a surprise it would be to her friend, maybe. She was so proud of her little ball of fluff, she had managed to care for it for almost a month now and it was becoming a big fat extremely tame bunny.

Lauren was a little confused at Colche "Seventeen? Yeah, my birthday was a few days ago..." How would she know it had been her birthday?
That couldn't be what she was talking about... Lauren thought for a bit. "AHH! Go to your duplex! I see... sorry" Lauren smiled at her mistake. "Sure! Sometime later today maybe though..." Colche wanted to show her something, Lauren knew that. But couldn't geuss what it was.

Colche giggled and nodded "sleep time" she pointed at the sky indicating it was nearlly midday and definately time for her nap. She gave a yawn to indecate this and slipped from her seat "byebye Lauren" she gives a soft puurr and grabbing something (which was cabbage leaves0 from the lunch lady she skipped out of the Cafeteria and off to her duplex.

Lauren nodded and waved, "Bye bye Colche. I have some lessons to do at the lab."
Lauren got up feeling a tad bit better this day, all she needed to do was get out it seemed. She meandered out of the cafeteria to her duplex to get ready for a busy day.
