[I intentionally take dialog out of order sometimes in my replies, forgive me. XD]

"I don't think any of these meetings have been normal. Not by a long shot." Yuki added to Poke's statement, recalling not only their meeting with Poke... But with Riyo and Gunnar, as brief as their interaction with the bull had been. Not to mention Skye and Hanse, but that was an entirely different story that Yuki desperately tried not to think about.

He was pulled from his thoughts as Blade suggested that they continue moving, and Yuki nodded. "Yeah... I'd like to only spend one night out in the middle of nowhere, if I can help it." A few hours' flight... He hoped that would only mean a couple of days' walk at the most. He ignored the fact that Blade had just, likely unintentionally, hit a nerve by pointing out his rush. Where he might have been over reacting, he'd much rather put miles and days between them and the one in persuit before he aimlessly lazed about. Calm would come after a few days without catching glimpse or scent of the hound, most likely. He was barely a mile behind, he swore, merely two days ago.

"Nice to meet you, too." Hitsu was replying cheerily to Marty, and waved her goodbye as the centaur headed off on his way. "Take care!" There certainly were some unique creatures outside of her village. She couldn't help but wonder what else they would see before they made it back home.

To Mitsu's mention of being hungry, Hitsu looked to Blade. "Can we give Mitsu and Neko some breakfast, too?" She doubted he would deny it, but she wasn't one to assume right off the bat.

"I'm sure you've mastered the ability to eat and walk at the same time." Yuki stated, to which he spoke unclear. The dog, it seemed, they were stuck with for now. He stared at Tobi for a moment, and rolled his eyes. Stupid mutt.

Nodding in response to Yuki, Blade turned towards the hut they had resided in over night. He'll have to go and fetch some of their bags quick before they could really start to move. When he turned back towards the group, he saw Marty give his farewell and moved on. After waving silently to the Centaur, he turned his attention towards Hitsu, Mitsu, and Neko.

"Yeah sure thing. We'll get them some food when we pick up our bags."

The thief took a moment to look between them and Yuki before turning and making his way back to the village area. Since his shoulder was a little better than it was yesterday he could carry some more, but he still hoped that someone else would come to help with the load.

Since there was mention of food with the bags Mitsu followed behind Blade Tobi close at her side. The shiba seemed to be just as excited about the prospect of food if not more so. This had been the man to feed him earlier so maybe he was going to offer more.

Neko watched the centaur until he was completely out of sight. Such a strange creature though he didn't seem like a bad guy. "Hopefully they hurry back, I want to get moving." Neko stated rather bluntly. "This place isn't exactly what I would consider a vacation spot." He glanced back toward where the village lay through the trees. It was a little ways off but he could still smell the stench of death from here. The little village seemed to radiate with it.

Glancing over his shoulder, he saw Mitsu and Tobi following along. Smiling faintly for a moment, he faced forward again and stopped by one of the bags to get some food out for Mitsu and Neko. Like with everyone else, he got a bit of meat and bread for them, turning around to hand Mitsu her share.

"It's not much but it's something quick for the road."

Then looking down towards Tobi, he grinned a bit. The dog had run off earlier before receiving his reward. So the thief figured he'd try to give the dog a little more for now.

"You didn't stay put long enough last time. So.. Sit!" he said while holding out a small strip of meat.

waving goodbye to the centaur, poke turned around to hear that they were about to leave again, execpt neko and mitsu were going to get something to eat first. At the mention of food, pokes stomach gave a audioble grumble.
She sighed, looking at the catch she made. By the sound of things they wouldn't have enough time to cook it, and neko, mitsu and blade had already left. She remembered earlier that moring when everyone else had already had something to eat, and she was still asleep. She didn't want to go and demand food especialy if they didn't have enough to go around.

As she wondered what to do with the fish, and how long you were able to keep seafood before it went off, Her thoughts went back to their constant movement away from this purserer. Why were they being purseued anyway? and would this guy even dare to attack such a large group? she had no idea.

"Well, while they are off doing that," Neko started by pulling a blade from his leg strap and walking toward Hitsu. Flipping it in his hand so that he was holding the blade with the handle facing her he pointed to his hair with his other hand. "Fix this please." It was going to drive him nuts to keep thinking about his hair in such disarray. If it could at least be evened out it would be alright but Neko was already prepared for that to be taking it rather short.

As Blade gave his command Tobi circled in place excitedly before he gave a short yip and sat down waiting for his treat. His eyes were focused on the meat as if he would look away and it would disappear.

Mitsu smiled down at the dog, "Tobi is a good boy." She patted his head as she took her share of breakfast.

Riyo smiled and waved as the centaur disappeared, then parked herself atop one of the rocks with a sigh. She listened to everyone else talk while her hands sat in her lap.

It seemed the more Neko spoke, the more angry she got. Not a nice vacation spot, huh? "Well excuse me for not cleaning before you got here..." Should she be so pissed at that? Probably not. The village was full of corpses that hadn't seen visitors for years. But she couldn't help it if nature refused to take it's course and clean it up! Yes, it was mother nature's fault!

Right...

Quietly, Riyo stood back up and walked past the groups back to the village. She'd forgotten there was something she wanted to do.

She stopped at the hut she used to call home and took a step in. "Oh Mother, I'm home." She called and stared down at the disgusting corpse with neutral eyes, as if the sight didn't bug her.

"I hope you won't mind, but there's something I wanted from you." She whispered and bent over.

"A good boy indeed," said Blade with a nod before tossing Tobi his reward. The fact that the dog had been pretrained would probably help quite a bit.

And once Mitsu had taken her meal, the thief went ahead and picked up one of the bags and slung it over his left shoulder. He also picked up another just to carry in his hands or arms for now. For a moment, he looked around to make sure that nothing fell out of the bags or anything like that. Nothing seemed to be misplaced, but there was still one bag remaining on the ground.

"Hey, could you grab this bag for a bit? You could just pass it off onto Neko or someone once we get back to the others."

Yuki had quietly moved to follow Blade and Mitsu as they had returned to the village, thinking quietly to himself. In the next town, they would have to find a way to acquire more supplies. Specifically, materials to make a tent or something similar. Another hard rain like that, without somewhere to take shelter, and they'd be lucky if all of them avoided getting seriously ill. It would probably be lucky if they were all healthy at this point, after being soaked and cold the night before.

Hitsu had watched the three walk toward the belongings, shortly followed by Riyo. She frowned lightly, hoping that Riyo wasn't upset with all of them at this point just because Yuki and Neko had decided to blurt out their distaste for the area. Truth be told, Hitsu had only been forced to deal with death once in her life, and that was long ago. Not that she found the concept of death any easier to understand now, but the very thought of murder wasn't something she'd ever been educated on. Sheltered might have been an understatement when it came down to this.

Neko grabbed her attention, and Hitsu looked in question at the blade a moment before she slowly took it from him and looked up to his hair worriedly. She could certainly recall how upset Neko was when his hair was first cut as short as it had been before Blade had decided to singe it, was he really going to feel better when it was even shorter? She bit her lower lip, then nodded. "A-alright... If you're sure." She ushered him over to one of the stones nearest them, so that he could sit and she could properly see what she was doing. Once there, she painstakingly began to cut away at his hair to even it out and lightly trim the singed hairs. She was careful, to be sure that she didn't foul up anywhere. After all, if she did, he'd probably end up with a bald spot. Despite herself, she giggled aloud at the mental image of such a scenario. "Better close your eyes, Neko." She instructed teasingly, "Unless you want to see how much of this is coming off."

Meanwhile, Yuki watched quietly as Blade fed Tobi, again. He didn't look happy about it, but if the guy wanted to waste the food that he had paid for Yuki wasn't going to stop him. At least, Blade wouldn't hear about it unless they ran out before reaching the next town. Then he would be sure to point it out... While probably lacking all kindness on the subject.

When Blade had asked Mitsu to pick up the remaining bag, Yuki was quick to step up and take it instead. He slung it over his shoulder rather carelessly, before addressing Blade, "She doesn't need to be carrying anything, and this is too heavy for her." He looked over his shoulder, to Mitsu. "Are you feeling well enough to walk for awhile?"

Tobi snatched the meat out of the air as Blade tossed it, downing it quickly before someone decided to take it away. Once his meal was finished he then looked to Mitsu since she was the one that now held food in her hands. Excitedly he gave another bark, circled, and sat down. He had been asked to sit so far so maybe if he sat for her she would feed him.

Slowly for once Mitsu began to nibble at the meal she had been handed and nodded to Blade when he asked her to get the bag. She had even started to step up to grab a hold of it but Yuki had cut her off taking it up on his own. "It's okay Yuki I can get it." The bag did look a little heavy but Mitsu was sure she could manage though it looked as though Yuki was content on getting it himself.

When he asked her about her condition she nodded in reply. "Yes, I'm fine. I'm not sick." It was then that Tobi caught her attention with his barking and she looked down to see him sitting at her feet looking up at her expectantly. A little confused as to what he wanted she looked at her hands to see the little bit of meat and bread she had left. "Are you still hungry?" Tobi gave a bark, his tail wagging behind him. Smiling Mitsu knelt down to the dog allowing him to munch on the bread she had. She didn't mind so much, the bread was hard to eat without something to drink with it.

Well, since everyone had wandered off (again), poke made a decision that, since nobody was here, as far as she knew, and her stomach wasn't about to shut up, she may as well make use of the time she had.

It was a little hard to find dry enough twgs with which she could start a fire, but eventually she did. She them rumaged around in her backpack, and at the very bottom pulled out two stones. She learned long ago that it was wise to have flints with you if you needed to start a fire.

Using a particly long stick, she hooked the fish onto it and held it over the fire, and waited, also hoping the fire wouldn't produce alot of smoke and give away their location. She was sure yukiw ould proably chew her a** off for it.

For a moment, Blade watched the dog wolf down the meat he provided, before looking over at Yuki as he tried to offer to carry the bag instead of Mitsu. She did appear to be quite healthy in his eyes, so he wasn't sure why the other guy had asked and said what he did.

After shifting the bags he held around a bit, he looked back towards where the others were. Once he was all set to start moving, he glanced back towards Yuki and Mitsu, before making his way towards the lake again to rejoin the others. Up in that direction, he spotted a small fire on the ground. Blinking at this, he kept going to see what was going on exactly.

As Riyo exited the run down hut, there was something clutched in her hand. That old rusty knife she could still remember seeing.. Shining in the moonlight. Like the fruit of knowledge that tossed Adam out of paradise, this too was her instrument of demise.

Her eyes examined as her fingers ran across the now dull blade. "Mmmm.." She hummed with a semi-amused smile playing on her lips. She was nowhere near proficient with weapons. But this... This object. It was, in a way, apart of her. Branded her. A little tingle crossed the scar on the back of her neck as she thought about it.

"What do you plan on doing with that?" Called a voice behind the hut. Atticus...

"What do you care?" Another question. Another silent reply. It seemed her questions on his thoughts and feelings would go unanswered. But, just for the hell of it...

"What do you want from life, Atticus?"

It came out of nowhere. A question that broke through the silence and caught the man off guard. He pondered the question... But offered no answer as usual.

"That's what I thought..." Her tone was matter-of-fact, as if she expected no better. With that, she took the rusty knife and stuck it in the side of her boot. He... Was no better off than she was. With that thought in mind, she headed back towards her friends.

And Atticus could only watch.

Neko sat as quietly as possible during the hair cutting process. Though he couldn't always hide the twitch in his eye as he saw a chunk of hair fall in front of his face. It was probably one of the more nerve wracking experiences of his life but he managed not to complain once while Hitsu finished up evening out his hair. Once she was done he brushed all the excess hair away and ran a hand through his now very short black hair.

At least there was still enough for him to run his hand through. "Thanks." He said with a forced smile as he took his blade back from Hitsu returning it to the holster on his leg. "So...how does it look?" He didn't know if he wanted an honest answer or not but it would bug him not to know.

"Don't worry about it." Yuki said, attempting to leave no room for Mitsu to persist. He stepped off toward the others soon enough to miss the fact that Mitsu had chosen to feed part of her own food to the dog. Had he seen it, he most likely would have complained about it. Of course, as far as his knowledge went, he had the feeling that there was good reason that Neko was acting so nervous. There hadn't quite been a straight answer, but there had been no denial of her condition, either. If Mitsu didn't realize she needed to take care of herself, they'd have to keep that in check themselves... And Yuki had the feeling that simply leaving Neko to it wasn't the smartest of ideas, considering his history on women.

Hitsu stepped back once she had finished and returned Neko's blade, standing in front of him with her arms crossed, tapping her chin lightly. She couldn't help but grimace a little, and her answer was honest. "Well, it's not bad... But it's certainly going to take some getting used to." She said, offering him a small smile, looking sheepish. "Gertrude would be proud?" That, she was sure after the fact, wasn't going to make him feel better.

As if that hadn't been bad enough, in only a few seconds Yuki had returned and taken one look at Neko's head and burst into laughter. "What the hell good is that!?" He snorted back more laughter, "You should've just shaved him bald, he looks like his head is covered in velcro."

[Considering the handful of modern-ish things they have in Nao... I am going to pretend, for the sake of humor, that they have velcro... Because I can just picture this, and had to call it out.]
