(Oops?)
Kimiko was off in her own little world, punching the air with a manic grin "Okaaaay..." she probably wouldn't notice a person unless they came right up and poked her. "So I just have to keep this up and I'll be ready in no time! Yeah!" She was absolutely ecstatic considering she had been so tired a moment ago, but Spirit is the best refresher they say. "Alright..." she put her hands together "Just...need...to...control the flow..." she closed her eyes once more, attempting to master the flow yet again.Had she been slightly more aware, she might have noticed the day was wearing on, and she was not going to meet her ambitious deadline...
Training: Will of the blazing soul! RISE!
DC:10 Formula:Chakra+1d20 Train:1/10 Roll:11
The chakra built on the surface of her skin, as she breathed a brief, almost mirage like shimmer past through her lips. This was the power of her very soul, the blade of her passion! Chakra was just a like muscle right? So she'd just keep at it and keep getting better!
(Finally...after this exercise they'll be caught up and I focus on training both of them... stare )

Kimiko felt her power slipping and tried to focus her thoughts on something, something that would calm her mind, let her regain a hold on the so called reins.
Kimiko Momoe wasn't exactly what you'd call a normal child. It was true enough that few people who aspired to become Ninja could be called totally "Normal", but then, Kimiko was a special case. Ironically her drive to become a ninja, was in part due to the people who didn't want her to become one now. Her adopted parents were...in a way, very reflective in who she was now. She often resembled her father in her dramatic over the top moments, and more often than not showed the side of her that developed being raised by her mother the rest of the time.
But still, the way they'd always honored Shinobi, the way they always told the girl stories of them, and of course the fact they were Shinobi themselves, had filled her head at a young age of with romantic fantasies of what a ninja was supposed to be...and they still stayed with her even now.

Kimiko wasn't generally one for deep contemplation...she tried to keep things as simple as possible. Good always won, Evil always lost, and real ninja were heroic, cool, and champions of justice. This was more often than not the basis for which she made all the rest of her decisions, even though deep down she knew things were more complicated than that.
Lately though she found herself pondering... was it really the right thing to be so certain about what she believed? She pushed down the thought continued her training, the sweat on her brow dripping down her face again.

Kimiko pointed at the character in the book "Ashdr..." she said through a sucking thumb. Her father laughed.
"That's right! That's an illustration of the hero!" He said holding the book so she could see. "Why, can't you just see the glimmer in his eyes! The Fire in in his youthful soul!! He's a true shinobi in every sense of the word! You can just see the passion in his eyes!!" His own eyes were burning with passion.
"Psifodaj!" The baby said her eyes burning with fire to match her adopted fathers.
Suddenly a hand bonked her father on his head causing him to recoil while Kimiko was taken into her mothers arms. "Honestly, how many times have I told you to stop doing that." Her voice was dull and unconcerned, but there was a hint of exasperation. Her mother smiled at the babies cheerful face. "Just take it easy and tackle things one at time, and you'll be fine..." she then gave the girl a bottle and walked off to rock her in the chair.
Kimiko was now seeming rather calm, outwardly anyway, she was still fighting a battle on the inside, but aside from the sweat, and the fact her muscles were visibly straining, you wouldn't notice.

The whole of Kimiko's life, she'd really been searching for someone, even though she herself wasn't aware of it. She sought someone who would be able to keep up with her.
Even her parents, the people who'd helped become the person she was today, could barely keep up with her spirited pace. She was looking for someone who could keep up with her so that...she didn't have to be alone. For all her spirit and her passionate fire, Kimiko didn't have many friends. Her in your face nature tended to turn most people away unless you go to know her better, and the few people that liked her weren't really the kind of people who could actually keep up.
It was then something of a subconscious shock to her when she became the one catching up...

She felt herself faltering again...this was about how long she'd lasted before... but no... she couldn't let herself be beaten by...well...herself. She kept firm hold of the chakra, refusing to let go. She was going to succeed... she was going to succeed. The chakra was still hanging on by a thread, and she gave it her all to pull it back into a flow...
'Just focus...focus...and clear your mind...' she remembered the steps from the scroll her mother had given her. "Keep... control..." she said aloud to herself. "Keep control...and relax..."

She gritted her teeth behind a serene facade. She was losing it...she was letting the flow fall back down. 'No...no way! Not yet!' She furrowed her brow in intensity then corrected this as she remembered she had to keep come. It wasn't just about pure effort, pure passion, she had to direct her passion as she had during her climb. She just had to take deep breaths...and not give up.
As the sun continued it's ever calm march across the sky, Kimiko's determination was unmoved. in her mind she was still going to walk up tree's before the end of this day. She had to believe herself, it WAS going to happen!

Kimiko regained her foot hold, the chakra once more filling her coils...and her own mind falling back into a concentrated point.
When Kimiko had first met Maboroshi, she'd tried to be friends with him, he WAS the new kid in class after all, maybe he wouldn't be entirely put off by her enthusiasm...or at least, that's what she was thinking unconsciously.
Her first encounter with him went well...though not like she'd been expecting. He actually liked her, she made him laugh...but that was the problem. She was nothing more than a clown to him, like she was just something funny put in front of him to amuse. Still, he accepted... he accepted her challenge.
Before when she'd accused someone of being her nemesis, they'd blow her off, wave their hands in a careless fashion, as if to say "Go away." But Maboroshi...Maboroshi was very different.
"Your Nemesis?" He said dully with a passive expression. Suddenly his face made a complete turn around, changing into an almost excited smirk "Sounds like fun."

It was from that day forward that Kimiko never accused another of being her nemesis, Maboroshi had taken the spot for himself. Though Kimiko would never admit it, (Ever, ever, ever,) She was actually somewhat grateful to him. For the first time she wasn't to far ahead of the crowd, she was actually behind, she had something to aspire to, something to reach besides outright becoming a great Ninja. Maboroshi supplied her with a flag in the distance, but this was also a double edged blade.
Though once again she wouldn't admit it, she wanted him to acknowledge her as more than just a clown. This perhaps was why she was always trying to get Maboroshi to fight her...but for some reason...he never would. This of course was infuriating.

Kimiko of course knew why, it was a classic scenario in her manga! He just thought he was sooo amazing that she wasn't worth his time! Stupid jerk... she could still remember every time he'd turned her down.
"There would be no point in fighting someone like you..."
"I've told you before, there would be nothing to be gained from fighting you."
"Momoe-san...I believe we've been over this before."
"No."
"No."
"Momoe-san I'm eating right now."
Every time!! She just wanted to punch that stupid face of his!! Her cheeks puffed out as she continued to push her chakra training. She'd already surpassed her record... she just had to keep going... keep going until she couldn't go any more.

Kimiko's strength was waning her chakra coils feeling exhausted. But still she forced her way past her limits. She'd no intention of letting this beat her. She wondered just how many more times she'd say that...then realized it didn't really matter. It was like asking how many more steps you'd have to take in an endless journey, or how many clouds would pass by if you sat in one spot forever... Or how many times she'd train before she became a Shinobi... such questions didn't have answers, she was a champion of justice, there would be no end to obstacles she'd face, but she'd always come out the other side... into the sunlight... Her chakra flow stayed strong, despite the signs of fatigue setting in.

Kimiko felt herself fading, her chakra still slipping from her fingers, she was starting to feel it subside. She buckled her knee's and her body began to strain. Her chakra coils protested but she didn't pay them mind. Chakra coils were just to do as they were told.
She was now willing to admit she was tired. It just didn't matter. As her body started to lose more energy, she fought that much harder to keep control, to keep her chakra flowing. She knew this was probably going to far, she'd already broken her record and then some...but it wasn't enough for her...she wasn't satisfied yet. She was aiming after all, for 200%.

The truth of the matter was, she was barely holding on. Her limits she was sure had been reached, and she was probably even pushing her luck. Still, something inside her wouldn't let her fall, wouldn't let her back down or lose consciousness. She was without a doubt going to see this through till the end, or fall unconscious in the process. Kimiko's heart seemed to pumping fast now, her body now suffering from the effort...still she didn't cease her efforts... The strange thing was, she was now able to realize, when she was at her most weary, that the sun was starting to set...and she was nowhere near her set goal... she tried that much harder.

Kimiko fell to one knee. She could feel the chakra was now a hair's breath from leaving her grasp, a simple lapse in concentration away from falling back into it's normal dormant manner. It felt to her like a spring that had been bursting within her was now subsiding back into the earth, out of reach. The flow through her now was barely a trickle, and she didn't know if she could hold it for much longer.
'I can't let go just yet...I have to keep going, if I don't reach my goal the very least I can do is do this...just this...' she started to push herself out of her knelt posture and back into a standing position...
