Hey,
I'm Angelic and I'm an almost obsessive Rper. It really helps refine my writing skills becuase in my free time I also write my own fantasy stories (One I'm hoping to get published. Currently hunting for a beta-reader!) I enjoy Rping, writing, being random and being ALONE (At home at least.) I have an annoying little sister who's currently 9 years old. If you've ever had a little sister, you know my pain. If not, I'll sum her up. She's an annoying little thing that will stop at nothing to drag me outside and get swarmed by her little munchkin friends.
Welcome to my life.
Anyway, I enjoy pretty much any kind of Rp except horror (you can thank two people in one of my guilds for not liking this) and Twilight. Sorry, I seriously think the true ending to Twilight **NO DISRESPECT INTENDED TO TWILIGHT FANS** should've been "....And Buffy staked Edward. The End."

Hmmm...I used to play WoW. I had a Night Elf Hunter for the longest time and then I realized she sucked so I got her to lvl 55 and made a DK. Then I got grounded and my Dad pretty much told me that he's deleting my WoW charas. That's how badly I screwed up. Anyway, when I can log back on I seriously have to work on building my toons correctly because both toons I had SUCKED.

I'm also a huge procrastinator when it comes to work...Rping I'll give you a super fast reply if I get the motivation. A school paper? I usually get this burst of inspiration my Dad calls "Last Minute Panic."

If you'd like to know anything else, just ask!

I was a beta-reader for a friend once, but she never finished her book... shame. I really enjoyed it. I love looking for continuity, grammatical, punctuational errors, etc. Love the way words sound and how you can rearrange them to mean something different. <3 Ahhh, editing. <333

I have a very similar stance on Twilight. Our April Fool's Joke for the guild (that I, admittedly, took too far) was us being turned into a Twilight fandom guild. xD

I was the same! Undead Warlock until my plummeting grades forced my mother to shut down my account. That was YEARS ago, though. We didn't even have any expansions back then. Lvl 60 cap, wooo!

Welcome to the guild!

Ty~!
You have no clue how much you can screw up a Night Elf Hunter.
What really made me mad was when I worked my a** OFF FOR A PET and then Blizzad the put the expansion where they automatically get a pet. I was fuming for WEEKS.
I still haven't calmed down about it actually.
They keep adding stuff to make the game more "user friendly" but all it's doing is taking the challenges out of the game.
My Dad runs a Night Elf Warrior and he was happy with how every player now has to pay the same amount of gold for repairs if you wear epic armor.

I agree. The problem with arguing against twinking, though, is that is only benefits the older, hardcore players. For Blizzard, they'd rather have the legions of preteen boys and mother's credit cards as their market, and THEY want the games twinked down. It's sad, but it's also why mainstream media, music, movies, etc. tend to suck (but not always).

True. Sad, but all too true. It sucks when people ruin something that was really good just because the market is in something else or they have to appeal to a certain group of people.

Hello!
I prefer to go by Sticks, but I approve of the title Emily.
I turn 18 in November
I honestly really enjoy the thought of Roleplay, and I have done so for the past two years. It's one way to escape reality, and be whoever you want!
I have been in an advanced English class since 7th grade, but this is the first year I have decided to drop it, due to many other scheduling difficulties.
I am an Athlete! I run Cross Country, Track, and I play Soccer.
I'm one of those extremely social women, who will spend the last second of passing period to finish up a conversation in the hallway!
I hope I'll have fun! :3

Hello all,

You can call me Mel, or Umbra, umbraja, ummy, I'll even answer to Hey You most of the time.

So, let's see, a little bit about me:

I started playing tabletop RPGs in 1995, graduated to GMing in 1998, and have played too many systems to list, co-owned a game shop where I ran the table top gaming (sold my share but still go in to play), and am a certified secondary educator (high school teacher) with a BA in English and History, a minor in Secondary Education, and Associates in Graphic Design (I changed my major a lot). I specialize in world creation, character depth, epic plots, organization, marketing, and am not good at introductions.

As for Gaia activity, I am one of the Captains of the School of Dedicated Roleplayers and have a budding epic RP running there but have been spending most of my time lately putting together the SDRP's Summer Event, a fighting scene writing competition with a walk-in RP audience and chances to win over 1 million gold in prizes. Y'all should all check it out.

Oh, yes. And I am from the South, if the y'all didn't give it away. I know it's not proper but the English language is one of very few (if not the only) that doesn't have a second person plural pronoun which is a travesty. However it is fun to guess where people come from by how they handle that linguistic failing. Southerners use y'all. Texans will even use all y'all (mostly for emphasis). Other forms I've heard are: yins (Philly), youse (Northeastern US), you guys (New York), yous guys (Brooklyn), and you-uns (Midwestern/Appalachian). . .

So, yeah. . . I'm a bit of a linguistics nerd.

In reality, many call me names such as "Owl" or "Ace", but many on here
prefer to call me "Ignis", "Lunae" or "Iggy". Either one is fine,
but Ignis is much more... subtle. Iggy is too love-dovey if you will.
Feel free to call me whatever you wish. x3

I have been mistaken for a grown woman in some RPs for my vocabulary and
way of writing is very close to that of an adult's. Rest assured, I am only fourteen.
I can say that I've been writing in such a manner since I was about twelve, but
then it was rather pre-mature. Today, I am confident in my writing skills;
I have been writing since I was about seven years old, and in complete paragraphs
when I was about eight.

To this day I'm trying to publish my own book and am proud to say I'm
becoming closer day-by-day. In the mean time, I attend high school
and tutor some in English when the opportunity presents itself.
I take English class with sophomores in contrary
to my freshman class.

When I'm not on Gaia, I spend my free time riding
around on my ATV. For some reason, I just enjoy
speeding around and what not. I do have this awful habit
of driving on the wrong side of the road (as I am from London).
Luckily, I drive on dirt roads that are...
well old to say the least.

I am a lively British Girl who is literate
and up for almost any Role-play.
I'm friendly and don't bite, so don't be afraid to message me with
requests and what not.

As a side note, I have short-term memory loss, so you'll have to quote me. Otherwise,
I'll forget.

Hi everyone!

My name is Aida, but if you forget, calling me "Hakiro" or "Haki" works just fine, too! I've been writting for a looooooong time, discovering how much I like it in the 4th grade.

I got into Roleplaying about three years ago, but only roleplayed for a couple months before stopping, as all the roleplays I ever joined lost their posters. I'm hoping that in a place where the members are a bit more serious about their writing than the casual roleplayer, this won't happen as much and we can invent a whole plot together.

One of the things you'll soon find out about me is that I really dislike fantasy. I like sci-fi, as long as it's slightly realistic, but that is as fiction as I will go. I like roleplays that are set in old time periods, or any ones that give me a lot of freedom in developing a character, witch, I think, is my best asset when it comes to writing.

Nice to meet y'all!

Greetings. I am Avion even though that is not my real name but, I do not say my real name unless I really trust someone so I will apologise for this. I am a new member here so I would like to say hello to all of you out here and, of course nice to meet you all.

Greetings and Salutations all!

I can not tell you my name (why? I'll explain in a moment) so you may simply call me Loretta but whatever you do, do not call me Lolo, I hate that.

I am a 22 yr old female

I am both a recently married housewife as well as a professional author.

I've been writing since elementary school. My first published book was a short story I wrote for a contest in the 4th grade and because I won said contest my story was published as a children's book. I've written 3 other children's books and have one novel in printing faze and am working on my latest one.

The reason I can not tell you my true name is because I have Pseudonym. What is a Pseudonym? Well, for those of you who don't know a pseudonym is a fake name authors put on their books instead of their real one. Almost like an alias. There are some rather famous ones who do this, Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, Cynthia Malloy ect. So if I ever tell you guys about my new book when it gets out I don't want you spilling the beans on my real name. XD

I live in washington (the state not the city) in good 'ol USA.

And as far as roleplaying goes I've been role playing for almost 14 years now. My best friend to this day got me started on roleplaying. First we were writing our roleplay story in notebooks we would pass back and forth between us until we found gaia. We joined early on when gaia was just getting started. Unfortunately my first account got hacked so I made a second one. That one lasted me until just recently when I went on my honeymoon apparently that one became hacked and tried to spam people so gaia banned it. Oh well.

Oh, one more thing, if any of my roleplays do really well I may take it to my publisher and get it published as a short story in quarterlies and/or magazines and if it does well there then we may even have another book on our hands. My co-author will of course get credit unless they want to be anonymous which some have.

Its a pleasure to meet everyone and I can't wait to start rping!

Wow, lots of new people! I really should visit the intro thread more often.

Salutations to all!

((I actually had to highlight Sticks's post to read it. ::snickers:: Please tell me someone else had to do this too??))

I am in WA state as well Loretta! In fact, I'm only about 5 mins away from Portland and her many highlights. We're heading to the Star Theatre for New Years. Abney Park will be there with fire dancers and aerialists. ::grins:: Can't wait.

Good luck with your next book!

Aw! I'm sooo jealous! I want to go to portland strictly to visit voodoo donut shop! Come on, who doesn't want to eat a jelly filled donut shaped like a person with a toothpick where your heart would be?! Lol. That sounds like an awesome way to spend new years. I'll be with my family just watching the ball drop while my niece struggles to stay awake for it lol. And thanks I appreciate it. It's nice to meet you Cheshiyre! ^w^

Hey there. Generally I suck at introducing myself, but here goes.

You can call me Vincent or Avun, I respond to either (though they're both net aliases). Sitting currently at the age of 22, I first started writing in roleplay around... four years ago. I got picked up by a small roleplaying community which specialized mainly in fighting - specifically turn-based - and I expanded my horizons from that single point.

Nowadays, I'm less about the fighting and more about storyline and character development, though I still retain all the knowledge I've picked up throughout the years. I guess it's just a means of saying my characters are (most of the time) like roses with thorns.

Ah, well, enough of that. Nice to meet you!

Definitely not. Except in my case I had to copy-paste into Notepad since Macintosh highlights in blue. (No idea why.)
