Oy Virgil, I like Pong and Pacman as much as the next guy, but with today's gaming, stuff like that isn't coming back. I can't imagine another classic masterpiece anymore in the sea of FPS and other s**t. Also, there are just games that pretty much add a little graphical or gameplay tweak and go back on market. Final Fantasy IV was remade like 5 times, all the same game. Need I even mention Pokemon?
GoW is probably the best thing going for platformers. I'd love to see another classic like Banjo Kazooie though - just a mixture of fun, humor, amazing gameplay, and innovation. 'Course, humor is optional. I really think Mario isn't going to cut it anymore as the sole person for that.

Ichimura Kenshin No! I'm a senior citizen when it comes to older games. xd lol. My first game ever was MegaMan 2 for the GameBoy... Being surrounded by a bunch of Bakamono's who take every word someone says serious is annoying. Also, Kage, I hope you aren't mocking me... How the ******** would that mock you?

@Demon: Your best bet for an old school type platformer will more than likely be then next entry in either Jack and Daxter, Sly Cooper, or Ratchet and Clank series. Other than that there's Mario, and the sad shell of it's former self the Sonic series has become in recent years thanks to Nintendo killing Sega then eating it.
@Kage: Ichi is Christan, and people online have a bad habit of making fun of religious people for being just that. He's just gotten used to having to defend himself from assholes that mock him for choosing to believe in God. It's nothing personal against you in particular.
Anywho, now that I've rambled on to all of you with my talk of the good ol' days like an old man, I'm going to go get ready for work. rofl

Err...well i've played all the original trilogy of Jak and Daxter (and own 1 and 3) and beat one of the Ratchet and Clanks, and i was reasonably pleased with all of them. But look at the Wii - Nintendo used to be the best for platformers (and i'm ignoring Sonic for a reason -_-), now they've got that s**t remote that won't do any good for anything that's not Wii Sports or the millionth Mario Party or some crap. They WANT you to buy the Classic Controller. Even on other consoles FPS and overly easy RPGs are fillin' up. Why can't the days of N64 return? And no matter what anyone says the Gamecube was a good system. PS2 was probably better though, admittedly.
