Watching with curiosity, Ziven continued processing the series of events that were unfolding. It had been a long time since she had bore witness to such a rapidly moving series of events and the first time that she did not have someone around to tell her what to do.
Observing Solie brought a feeling of peace to her, and she gave a small wave of her hand in return to the little neko. Before she could consider moving closer or to ask if she was being invited, another entered.
The feeling of another's magic, especially unknown and so close, sent a shiver down her spine. Between that sensation and witnessing that the newcomer was elven, she quickly pulled up the hood of her cloak and tried to think innocuous thoughts, hoping desperately that the elven male wouldn't be too upset by her presence.
Having no idea what the answer to his inquiries might be, she remained where she was, doing her very best to hide in plain sight. At the very least, it would be interesting to see his reaction to all that was going on in the room; two vampires having a casual conversation, evidence of violence in several areas, enchantments encircling a woman that was flayed nearly to death, two nekos, and an anxious looking elf.

Count on Vincent for help?, There's a cute thought. Had Ali's smirk grow a little as he sipped his drink again. Quest?...It's a job and frankly you're too soft to help me with what I do. That is if you don't have any objections if I were to blow up this place and everybody inside it to get to Crow or put some rounds into others simply cause they are in the way, regardless of gender, age and relationship. Then you could help, otherwise just stay out of my way. He threw Vincent a look, reaching his right hand out to pet Solis on the head while maintaining eye contact with him. Vincents whole personality was opposite of Ali's, He cared about others which is admirable in it's own way. It was a liability for Ali. Heck even this behaviour with Solis served as a purpose now, he'd seen how Crow had tried to get her away from harms way. Ment it was a minor angle he could take advantage of if needed. And I handle sunlight just as well as any other person.

The Almighty Ali Count on Vincent for help?, There's a cute thought. ~The vampire first raised a hand in welcome to the newcomer then turned swiftly in his chair to face Ali. His voice was low and even as the man tried to control his anger. Ice blue eyes glared at the lad who set an arms length away.~
"Being a cultured man does not make me soft kid. You ask if I have objections to your blowing up this establishment, or using people as collateral damage, I say I have objections to what you loosely call your profession. Damn kid, take pride in your trade, kill the b***h and her windbag husband, but don't be sloppy at it."
~Vincent leaned back in his chair, studying the other vampire, watching how he handled the neko. No doubt the small lass was in danger of becoming a pawn in this game he had with the two he was hired to slaughter. If memory served him right Ali had already put the girl in harms way with the flash bang. She was such a meek innocent child. The more he thought about it, the hotter he got. Glancing over at Angel's resting place, Vincent shook his head.~
"You say Miss Angel hired you, do you think she'd condone your methods? After what they did to her, do your really think she'd allow you to hurt one of her....people?"
~Staring down the other immortal, he waited for the smart a** comment and tough bravado that he had no doubt would follow. ~
"And please, when you answer son, let it be something worthwhile and not the bragging dribble Yawgmoth does."

Kumouri had been listening to the conversation between Vincent and Ali and it only served to confirm how disgusted he was with what passed as assassins these days. To Kumouri, assassination was a precision art that got the least amount of blood involved. and all these explosives and firearms were a sign of weak skills in the art of killing. Ali's kind were better as cannon fodder, providing a distraction for the frontline forces while assassins like himself slipped by and took out the target. He then blinks and shields his eyes from the sudden blast of light before it finally dimmed. He saw the armored elf and thought he was being way to flashy for an enterence. He then answers the male elf's question "The owner is here, recovering" He gestures to Angel in her glass coffin, which he was sitting beside. "As for stabling your mount and getting a room, for now it's self serve. Once Angel has recovered, you can work out a bill with her."

If she doesn't then she can always terminate the contract., He'd lean back in his seat and look down at the glass as he brought it up to his lips, getting the amber liquid running down his throat. Feeling the burn on it's way down and how it decreased by the time he set the glass back down again. And you misunderstand being too soft, you object to what I do for a living. Many does. Cause they are too soft for it and would rather hold a more peaceful job or stance in life. That's why not everybody is cut out to be a soldier or a cop, and even less at doing what I do. Atleast a soldier and a cop gives a sense of respect from others, while those like me get the same scorn looks you're giving me. Ali glanced over at Solis while he kept giving her head a pat, chuckling a little to himself. Could you imagine Ali as a cop? the police brutality cases would be sky high. But I like this job, hell I love it. The hunts, the challenges, the plannings, the killings and getting paid for it. Ain't nothing like it. And that is why you can't help.

Malachi walked over to the glass coffin, "What happened to her?" he asked, holding out his hand and muttering a few arcane words and waving his hands over her. "No poison or illness..." he whispered to himself, he reached for a pouch on his belt before dropping it onto a nearby table, "Place a few of these leaves in her mouth, in her cheek. It'll help promote healing, I'll retrieve some better herbs from my pack, but these will help regardless," he said before heading to the door and leaving, the light slowly returning as he walked outside to retrieve what he needed and to take Welker to the stables.

Kumouri did take a few of the leaves out of the pouch, but he didn't put any in Angel's cheeks. He knew she was already mostly healed so there was no point now. But he'd review these herbs himself later for there uses. He looks to Angel. wondering how much longer before she is recovered.

Malachi came in a little while later, remembering this time to turn off his light enchantment before entering, carrying a large pack and what seemed to be a few bundles of arrows. He set all of it down and pulled a mortar and pestle and tossed some other herbs and started grinding them up. Once he felt the were fine enough he added some oil and stood up to pour the fluid onto the bandages covering Angel's more serious wounds. "This should also speed up the healing process as well as reduce the risk of scarring. It won't be instant, I'm not a cleric after all, but provided that she remains undisturbed, she should be conscious by at least a day for now," he said before adding, "Unless she's a much faster healer than I think, then it'll happen sooner." He put his equipment back into his sack before carrying it all to a free room once he picked up a key.

"We were told by her sisters to leave her to her own devices." she said in a small voice, nervous to engage the newcomer, but not feeling she had any authority to try and stop him either. Besides, the more she tried talking to him, the greater chance of being noticed.

The neko smiles at Ali as she feels his hand on her head. Looking back towards the door, she frowned wondering why Miss Ziven didn't come sit with them. Before she had the chance to question her the stranger came back and he walked over to Miss Angel. The curious kitten inside her watched him as he poured things on the owies. Climbing out of the chair, she walked over to the man with the pointed ears and tugged at the man's cloak. "Sir what are you doing to Miss Angel?" This was odd for her because she was not one to talk to strangers.

Normally the 6'5" Malachi would have knelt to better look into Solis's eyes as he answered her, but his arms were still full of his provisions. So instead he could only look down at her as he said, "I'm helping Miss Angel to get better faster. It's sort of what I do, I help people that need it." He then looked to Ziven as he finished, "Because that's what you're supposed to do when someone is suffering." He then left to go stow his gear as he originally intended, returning to place some gold coins on the bar as payment for the stable and the room.

Angel's wounds began to glow with a pale silver light as the concoction the traveler poured on her bandages soaked in. Had they been watching over her recently they would see the evidence in her healing. Her eyes had already begun to move under her closed lids. Angel was a fighter, to add to the rise and fall of her chest, her fingers now started twitching.

Nibbling on her lower lip, the neko scratched the back of her ear. She was confused by the people she met that came to the place she had come to call her home. Some people she thought were bad were nice to her. Some people she thought were nice were not really so nice to others but seemed to like her. Others were just quiet or shy and she had tried to make friends but wasn't sure she was very good at it. She listened to the pointy eared man, then asked his name. "Mister, what is your name? I'm Solis, Solis Rose but my friends call me Solie. What will you call me?" She spoke a little louder then normal due to the man's back being to her as he began to walk away.

~Vincent watched the little cat girl walk away from the table to satiate her curious nature with the blonde who looked to be of elfin decent. As interesting as that might be to her, he shrugged it off and turned his attention back to Ali.~
"I'll have you know your not the only one whose had a violent past...or whose had to get their hands dirty. My scornful look had nothing to do with what you do, it's how you go about it."
~The vampire rose as he continued his conversation with Ali.~
"I like you kid, don't ask me why, but I won't allow you to take the lives of anyone you deem in the way of your hit on Miss Crow"
~He collected a glass from behind the counter then helped himself to the bottle that set in front of the lad he was talking to.~
"That precious child, over there,"
~He pointed to Solis before he brought the liqueur to his lips then tossed it back with a swift nod of his head. He winced slightly at the burn before returning the glass to the table with a dull thud.~
"is not going to end up as a unintended consequence due to your brash actions and thirst for your...profession."
~His eyes burned deep into the kid's face as Vincent poured himself another shot.~
"Nor will anyone else."

"Strider," he said as he stepped into the room, putting his stuff away before coming back out, "But you can call me Malachi if you'll be ok with me calling you Solie," he said, returning to the main area, picking up a knocked over chair for him to sit in. He shifted around so that he could sit more comfortably with the weapons on his back, eventually just straddling the chair so that he could lean forward on the back.
