So, going through my library of games, I realized I never finished "The World Ends With You."
I popped it in my DS and selected "continue."
"You have been away for 734 days and 51 minutes."
... yeah, I'm starting to think I should just go from the beginning.

I can't believe it keeps track of how long you've been away.
Seems stalkerish, and compulsion instigating.

Actually it was 798 days.
It's hard to explain, but your "pins" (read: weapons) gain individual experience. One of the ways to get this experience is when you don't play the game, it tracks the time NOT played and gives you experience for said time, up to 7 days.
So whenever you continue, it tells you how long it's been since you last played.
Though I'm pretty sure you could achieve the same results by just messing with the DS' internal clock.

that doesn't always work xp , messing with the clock I mean... some games work off of 'time played' rather than the 'real time' a game has been on or off

It would be in their best interest to entice you to play the game, rather than get the game and let it sit on the back burner just to gain points.
Maybe I'm missing something though.
