I like history too. Infact its my major in College. Its just that's how American history is taught in school

I think it's because it doesn't really stand up to the excitement of the classical european history.
But at least the americans had some interesting wars... I'm stuck with puertorican history, which is about as interesting as watching flies f-copulate.
