Lance whimpered, cringing, his eyes screwed shut as the the branch came down. He opened one eye after a few moments, and glanced terrified up at Gabriel again. He bit back another whimper at the man's command, and scrambled to his feet hurriedly, in a flurry of lanky limbs. "P-please...I just want to go..."He was already edging away cautiously as a matter of fact.
((What is gabriel? Human hunter? Tainted...?))

Rogue remained still, and at Gabriel's command to stand, she tilted her head slightly, wondering what the scared lycan would do, but more than that, she wondered what Gabriel would do.
"Do you make an example, or do you show mercy."

"Something of both perhaps."
He walked around the young man looking him up and down. Putting his hands on the boys shoulders he felt strong shoulders. He had a lot of growing, more so due to his lycanthropy than a normal man. Unless he consumed enormous quantities of food his werewolf metabolism would keep him in tip top condition. That meant nothing though if the boy didnt grow a spine and learn how to fight.
"You are living in a world inside of a world. A world where there are things that are not as kind or merciful as me even in your own species that will rip you apart. I suggest that you become smart and learn to fight and watch where you roam."

Lance flinched when the man laid hands on him, and nearly twisted away, before stopping. "A-alright..." His voice still shook, and he still reeked of fear. These two were obviously vampires, and old ones. Well, they both smelled ancient and terrifying to lance, but Gabriel much more so than Rogue. The woman, unsurprisingly, had the most impact on the teenage though. Her voice, her movement, her appearance...they were all nearly perfect in their attractiveness. And yet all Lance could think of was how much he wanted to run. "P-please...c-can I go now?"

His fear. She could smell his fear, and the predator within her wanted Gabriel to let the dog go, only that she could chase the prey down and rip him to shreds. She took a deep breath without removing her gaze from the lycan, her eyes fixed unblinkingly, glowing emerald in the night.
There was a time and a place where she would have killed this lycan for merely being what he was. There was a time when lycans would do the same. As a matter of fact, Rogue was sure that even now there were large factions of lycans who hunted vampires sheerly for pleasure. That fact, though, did not push her to kill. There was a time when vampires did the same. She was sure she had done the same.
Her Death Dealer ways were ingrained, and the only reason for restraint was no senseless killing of lycans without cause, though, on most occasions, there was always a cause.
She bit back her bloodlust. his fear...
The words echoed through her mind. Reason enough for killing him would be overhearing their conversation. "Perhaps a lesson in manners, first and foremost. You know eavesdropping is highly frowned upon in any of the races...and you should also know that getting caught is...even worse."
She lit a cigarette and jumped down, walking casually towards the lycan.

Lance trembled visibly as Rogue approached, a soft, keening whine passing from his lips. "I-I-I'm s-sorry ma'am...." The relaxed way the woman sauntered towards Lance did nothing to set the pup at ease. "I-I w-won't do it again..." He squirmed a little again, contriving to pull away pull away from Gabriel. His body screamed at his mind to flee, to run as fast as he possibly could, but the same terror that encouraged Lance to move, bound him in place.

"I leave your fate to my superior."
Gabriel turned away from the boy and walked passed Rogue. He had other things to attend to beneath New York. Some patrolling, the last few nights he had felt magic or what he could only call magic but it felt like magic that was foreign and tainted with utter madness. Sometimes in his sleep he would hear whispers in a strange language and at times they seemed to be saying his name. Sliding through the gates of the cemetery he would have to find a subway somewhere and head down.

Rogue took a drag before she stood in front of the dog.
"Have a wonderful evening, Gabriel," she spoke in a coy yet mocking tone, and did not remove her eyes from the lycan.
His fear was going to push her over the edge. "Give me your blood, and you will go on your way unharmed."
She wanted his blood memories of what he heard, and if he did hear anything, she would be able to wipe the conversations from his memory.

Lance quivered, no shook, staring wide-eyed up at the beautiful, terrifying, vampire. "I-I-I...wh-what...I don't..." He shrunk a bit, biting a lip. "Wh-what does that m-mean? D-do you want to b-bite me?"

"What is your name? You do have a name?" She studied his face, while a mere foot away and took a long drag on the cigarette she held. She felt bad that whatever pack he belonged to must not have told him much about the other races of the city.
"You are lucky to be alive. I am not heartless, but this is how some things in our world work...I do not wish to kill you, but I won't hesitate, should there be a need for me to do so...
I ask for the blood as a trade, as your word that if you've heard anything you ought not tonight, you will not repeat it. It is...assurance of your silence, and you will be on your way."
In too many ways, she did dine on lycan blood...it was a rare taste, and had to be acquired...but once it was, such a thing was a delicacy in the city.

"I...uhm..i-it's l-lance, m-ma'am. Th-thank you, f-for not killing me...umm...alright...sh-should..." Two fluffy ears had sprouted on Lance's head, barely visible under his hair. They lay flat in a sign of submission. "...wh-what should I do...?" He was poised to flee, but with the way his legs shook, it was clear that he still paralyzed with terror. "I-I w-won't say anything, ma'am..." He swallowed hard, heart beating frantically in his chest.

"I know you won't."
She put a hand gently to his chin and gently tilted his head sideways exposing the carotid artery. She bent slowly and her fangs extended and pierced the skin.
She pushed a numbing effect through his mind so after a brief pinch, he felt nothing but a rush of euphoria.
She drank his blood like wine, taking in the blood memories, but also just the darkness of the wolf. As if a fist wrapped itself around his memories, she shifted to his most recent in the graveyard, and squeezed out the memories of anything he heard and observed between her and Gabriel.
She drank just enough...then she pulled back somewhat reluctantly.
Her eyes glowed bright emerald in the night and she licked her lips, and wiped a bit of blood off her chin.

Lance flushed at her touch, and for a moment, as she leaned forward, before her fangs sank into him, and it was just the feel of her lips on his neck...the fact that she was a woman, over-rode the thin, teenage pup's fear, with an even more deeply instinctive feeling. At the pinch though, as her fangs broke his flesh, terror flared up again...and was swiftly doused by the wave of numbness and delight that washed through his mind. He nearly fell to his knees as Rogue fed, not resisting, or even moving, aside from the the errant twitch here or there. As well as the occasional muted whimper, or sigh, while she rooted through his memories and removed the pieces she wanted. It was an odd feeling, to have his memories tugged away from him, knowing he was losing something, only to be unable to recall what a moment later.
What little he had heard of her conversation with Gabriel was muddled with misunderstanding. When she pulled away, lance gasped, and shivered, his face, which had been so red a moment ago, had gone pale. He stared at Rogue, his own golden eyes shining dimly, ears still flat against his head, as he pressed a palm to where he'd bitten. The punctures were already sealing up, but that part of his neck was slightly bloodstained, and tender. "I-is th-that i-it..?" He mumbled in a tone that bordered curiously between relief, and very slight, confused disappointment that the euphoric feeling that came with her feeding had passed.

"That is it." She lifted an eyebrow and spoke casually.
"So, are we really as scary as some think?" A very slight grin cornered her mouth and she took a step back, lighting another cigarette. She had wanted to drink Lance dry and was lucky not to have killed him. Lucky. Her bloodlust was too strong, and she had fed now twice, and should be satisfied. Her inner Sanquinarian monster beckoned to be entertained, but she pulled her mental reigns through techniques taught to her by Alexz, another of the vampire elders who had strong psychic gifts.

Lance hesitated, but nodded timidly. "Y-yes...b-but...um...th-thank y-you...f-for um...n-not uh..." He shuffled his feet, eyes trained carefully on the ground. "I-I...c-can go now?" He felt vaguely...fuzzy, disconnected, still musing over what had just happened to him. "Um...c-can...c-can I ask something?" His eyes flickered up at Rogue for a moment, anxiously.
