Ryou had to catch his breath when Khalid left. He didn't know how that guy worked, and didn't want to, as long as he was making things right. Rubbing his forehead, he continued to locate a nurse.
"Oh, right, since he had the ring..." Atem muttered, then shrugged. "Yeah, that sounds good. I'm hungry. Let's not get anything from here, though. I don't like spending time in hospitals."

kira and ryou can be home with kai having the normal life they've always wanted..Ember and atem can have strted dating and yugi proposed to kawi.))

Ryou knew that he should be grateful. He had the Millennium Ring back, but as he told the others, it was almost as though Bakura wasn't there. He hardly ever came out in his mind, and nobody had seen him take control. Without someone doing mental damage to him, Ryou changed extraordinarily. He seemed to mature in a matter of a few months, growing closer to Kira, if that was possible. They weren't married yet, but plans were to be considered soon. He was currently downstairs with Atem, playing a game of chess. "It's your move, by the way." He pointed out softly to the 'king of games,' who was currently losing. Atem let out an annoyed sigh, waving his hand. "Yeah, yeah, I know." He said irritably, studying the board. It had been so long since he had played another game other than duel monsters. Even that had been a long time ago. It seemed like so much time had passed since he and Yugi had shared a body, since they were all in high school. He and Ember were 'going out', according to Yugi, which was a good thing. Yugi was watching the heated match, trying to suppress laughter. Atem could, it seemed, be beaten. Ryou was a beast at chess, something the pale haired young man had failed to mention when challenging Atem to a match. He and Kawi were happily engaged, and Yugi expressed a want to hold off the marriage until Ryou and Kira were married. He thought they deserved to 'get to go' first, just to give them a little time.

Kira came into the room holding kai. It had took a while to find him but she had gotten there son back "I'm thinking about pizza what do you guys want?" Kai was currently chewing on his stuffed monkey,one of his favorite toys.
Kawi giggled as she sat beside yugi resting in hisarms. Theyhad been very happy over the year and everything waswonderful.
Ember came in carrying a a six pack of soda in both hands "Ok I have moutain dewand pepsi. What do you guys want?" she asked.

Ryou glanced up, and smiled at Kai. "Um... something without meat, please..." He said, having just converted to vegetarian-ism. His eyes were back on the board as Atem hesitantly moved his rook. In a flash, Ryou took it out with his bishop. "Mountain Dew, please." He said, turning towards Ember. "Aww, come on!" Atem groaned, placing a finger on his king, considering just tipping it over and asking for this humiliation to end. He grumbled and then looked over the board again, trying to see where he could go. Ryou wasn't going easy on him at all. He never thought his friend could be so ruthless. He seemed to just realize that people had spoken. "Oh! Ah... um... I don't care about food, and..." He had to stop and think deeply about the soda. "Pep... No, I'll take a Dew, too." Yugi squeezed Kawi a little, unable to control his burst of laughter as Ryou mercilessly attacked his yami's pieces. "I don't need a drink." He said to Ember, waving his hand a little.

Kawi giggled "Yea im good. How bout extra cheese?"
Kira smiled. Kira wasent overly fond of meat so she was happy to be vegetarian with ryou. "That sounds good. I'll go order." kira said heading to the kicthen.
Ember chuckled and gave ryou a moutian dew. She sat beside atem and handed him one as well.

Atem moved a pawn, then looked up to study Ryou's face as the young man examined the board. His eyes were narrowed with concentration, and Atem couldn't help but see Bakura in Ryou's face. Atem's eyes went back to the board as his opponent moved a knight, and then he sighed. With one shove, the board and all the pieces were on the ground. "I wasn't going to win. Gloat all you want now, Ryou, but I'll get my revenge." Ryou smiled faintly at Atem, tucking a strand of hair behind one ear. "Oh, you know I won't be a sore winner." Atem grumbled under his breath and turned away, crossing his arms over his chest. Ryou got up, stretching. "I'm going to go use the bathroom. Be right back..." "Aww, is Atem-poo grumpy?" Yugi cooed in baby talk, seeing his yami scrunch up. He took Ryou's unopened soda and opened it himself, taking a drink then offering it to Kawi. "You're going to have to pick up the mess, Atem. Make sure none of the pieces got under the couch."

Ember smiled and gave atem a kiss on thecheak "relax. your still better than me." ember offered.
Kawi took a sip and burped "Oh exsuse me"
Kira came back in "Pizzas ordered. you better pick those up kai could chokeon them."

"Hmm, that's not going to make me feel special. Just about everyone is better than you." Atem teased, kissing her quickly before bending down to grab all the pieces.
"That only makes you more attractive to me." Yugi said sweetly, kissing Kawi's forehead. "Any girl who burps like that deserved recognition."
Ryou stood in front of the mirror, looking at himself in it. He hadn't really needed to use the bathroom, but he had just needed to get away. So many things had been changing, and he couldn't keep but thinking that this wouldn't last. Things just didn't work out like this, not for this long. Sooner or later, Khalid was going to come back, someone would get hurt, or... Any number of things raced through his mind. He closed his eyes, then forced himself to smile. No. Things would be okay. They had to be.

Atem was really stretching for a pawn that had somehow made its way deep under the couch. His fingers had just brushed against it when he heard the doorbell ring. He jumped up to his feet, thinking it would be pizza. "I'll get it!" Anzu examined the address in her hands. This was the right place, right? It didn't seem possible. This place was a mansion. Why on earth would...? Just then, the door opened, and to her surprise, she saw Atem. Atem looked momentarily confused, and then smiled, looking a bit uneasy. Anzu smiled in return, beaming cheerfully. "Atem! Wow. I didn't really think I'd... Well, hi!" She said brightly, looking over his shoulder. There was Yugi, and other people she didn't know. "I heard you guys were staying here and wanted to stop by." Yugi craned his neck up to see who was at the door. He paled slightly when he saw Anzu. "Oh good lord..." He muttered, ducking down. Why her? Why here? Still, she was his friend, and he needed to be nice. "Hello, Anzu!" He called, not budging from his place on the couch.
