Jarlaxle laughed and nodded, "I thought so. What is that noise?" He looked around the kitchen and then at the cabinets.

Mimzy stood silent and listen closely. She went near the cabinets. More crunching noises could be heard. "Maybe it's a animal?"

Jarlaxle nodded and walked over next to the cabinets, "I don't know. But we will find out." He pulled himself up on the counter and started to open it slowly.

Mimzy waited with anticipation, the noises got louder and louder. A shiny cookie jar could be seen and small hands dip inside of it.

Jarlaxle opened the cabinet quickly and laughed when he seen Gretchen. He looked down at Mimzy and smiled, "It's just Gretchen!"

"Hi guys" She said as she stuff a cookie in her mouth.
"Gretchen! save some for us!" Mimzy laughed. "Hey Jar have you ever eaten a cookie before?"

Jarlaxle shook his head and smiled, "No, I can't eat anything. I don't have a digestive system." He moved his hair out his eyes and laughed at Gretchen.

Mimzy laughed. "Well that sucks!"
Gretchen kept eating another cookie.
Outside the lunatic waited, it had taken him a while to escape but he done it. He needed to 'finish his mission' for his mistress, the lunatic was nothing impressive, just a tall, skinny man with a saw. He knew damn well to stay away from the clinic, either the doctor will finish him off...or the girl with the big sword will. Yet the tavern was even riskier but so far it was just her and other children.

Jarlaxle shrugged and smiled as he started to kick his legs in the air, "Not really. I don't have to worry about anything to give me sustenance."

"I guess that's true! and you never have to gain weight!" Mimzy smiled. Gretchen kept eating more cookies.
The lunatic was scared to enter the tavern, he just didn't know what to expect.

Jarlaxle grinned and gave her a thumbs up, "Yeah!" He looked up at Gretchen and laughed, "How many cookies are you going to eat?"

"Till I'm full!" Gretchen announced.
Mimzy laughed and spun around. She twirled out of the kitchen laughing, all innocents and fun drain from her face. The lunatic spotted her, there she was, all alone and this was his chance. Mimzy's heart race, she wanted to run but she was frozen. Memories flash back to the first attack.
As the Lunatic gave all of his attention to Mimzy, he forgot that even normal humans can be scarier then any monster sometimes. And she wasn't too far away.

Jarlaxle jumped down from the counter and looked over at Mimzy, getting ready to ask what was wrong but he seen the man. He stepped out of the kitchen and looked up at the man, "HEY! What the hell do you think you're doing?" He continued looking at the man as his eyes started getting a brighter purple through his hair.

"Thhhis is none of yourrr business!" The lunatic realize that he must act fast, he wasn't sure what the little boy was up to but he wasn't going to find out. He lifted his saw and swung at Mimzy.
The girl was still in shock, she manged to dodge for now.
