[Now, here I can bring Khalid in because of the thunderstorm. Do you want them sent to the past now, or would you rather wait?]
"I didn't mean to be out here in this cold rain, of course." Yugi hugged Kawi back. "It just started, like, a couple of minutes ago. It should be illegal for it to rain during winter."
"Yeah." Atem agreed, his previous anger with Bakura forgotten. He didn't seem to mind standing around talking about the weather.

"I guess." Yugi pulled the hood of his coat over his head. "Where to?"
"What's their problem?" Bakura asked with a yawn, looking over at Rei. The door opened, before there was a chance for response. "Oh. Hey, Khalid." Bakura greeted cheerfully, before noticing something different about him. He had a certain look in his eyes that was different from how he normally looked. He wasn't here for fun, he was obviously on a 'mission' or whatever you would call it. Realizing this, Bakura did the smart thing and returned to his Millennium Ring, letting the thief take control.
Khalid stood for a moment in the doorway, before turning his gaze on Rei and Bakura. These mortals didn't belong. It wasn't their time, not yet. He brushed past Atem and Ember without even acknowledging that they were there. "Are you ready? Your choice needs to be made. Go back to where you belong. You cannot stay in this realm any longer. Otherwise, I need to kill you."

Khalid smiled, faintly. "Good. I am not to be held accountable for any mistakes; that's up to your own fate. Enjoy Egypt." There was a blinding flash of light, possibly from the thunder outside or perhaps only in the room. The hospital's lights flickered, before all the power went out.

It didn't take long before the emergency lights came back. They could hear people getting a bit frantic outside, just spooked from the darkness. Atem had quickly found Ember's hand, just to make sure she was still there. The only ones left were Atem, Ember, and Khalid. The violet-haired man went to the chair Bakura had been sitting in, and picked up the Millennium Ring. "Ryou will need this back." He said simply, turning to leave the room.

Atem watched as Khalid left, and then looked at Ember. He seemed shaken. "The pharaoh... the 'not me' one... is gone."

"I'm... yeah, the light was just really bright." Atem closed his eyes and rubbed them, trying to get rid of the bright circles. "So, you think... they're back in the past?"

Ryou had decided to get up and go find a nurse himself. He didn't like the idea of leaving Kira, but he didn't want her to be upset about their son. He was moving slowly down the hallway when someone tapped his shoulder. Turning, he found Khalid before him. "Oh... hello." "Here." Khalid held up the Millennium Ring. His eyes were half-lidded, but a small smile played at his lips. "The thief and his family are gone. The spirit needs a new home. You need to take this back." Ryou looked at the golden item emotionlessly, before looking back up to Khalid's face. "What do you mean, 'gone'? Did you...?"
"Kill them? Of course not. I just sent them back to their time." Khalid couldn't hold back a laugh. "Heh heh heh... of course, I may have gotten the exact time a little wrong." Ryou looked angry for a moment, and Khalid laughed again. "Hey, what do you care? What I did was a completely personal matter. They were responsible for the death of Vadin. I plan to make their existence as painful as possible."

"What? That's cruel!" Ryou cried, backing away from Khalid, not touching the Millennium Ring. "You can't do that to someone! They aren't bad people. They don't deserve that."
"That's just life, Ryou dear." Khalid said smugly, patting the boy's cheek. "It's called revenge. Vadin didn't deserve what he got, either. You think I'm happy about that?"
Ryou's eyes blazed and he glared at Khalid. He had anger, at times, that could rival Bakura's. "Fix this. Set it straight again. Put their lives back the way it should be, and then get out of their business."
