Mechanics are important so you cant pull some noobish s**t like you do and go
"Uhhhh it doesnt work because my immunity isnt stopped that way, its stopped by pickles."
It works both ways with attacks as well
"Uhhhh your block cant work because my powers cannot be stopped by magics."

Someone could have pickles in their body filtering out bad stuff. And someone could have a character that nullifies any form of unnatural power that wouldn't normally apply to a human, making your character Ertai, useless.
Cant = Can't
Doesnt = Doesn't
Isnt = Isn't

I laugh every time I read this thread.
Hopefully this Barton round goes pretty fast, then the second rounds for the other branches, even with all the matches. FFA and O/M didn't have the time limits at first, and I wasn't PMing people and giving them a week to report, so it was like a month before some would even post.
Depending on how serious people are about posting in the next rounds (with exceptions for people on vaca, faulty internet, and mutual not-caring about the time limits but still posting reasonably fast), I might just make it one day.

It's spelled "idjit", and I have a hard time accepting being called such a thing by someone who lists "manipulation" as one of their character abilities. And, no, those "examples" you gave aren't related at all to what I said.

...Deity had a case of lack of info when he was fighting a holy elemental who tried t'use Deity's demonic heritage against him as a weakness...even though he technically isn't an unholy creature.

And demons usually are unholy.
