Ryou woke up pretty early, just sitting besides the couch, but knew he wouldn't be able to fall back asleep, even if he went back to his own bed. He got up and got dressed for school, and gathered his books. He noticed for the first time the textbooks that were by the door, and decided that someone must have brought them by earlier. Maybe when he was sleeping or the ring spirit was in control. He made breakfast for himself, then after considering for a moment, put a bowl of oatmeal on the coffee table for Rei when she woke up. Since there was a little while before he had to go to school, he sat down to do his homework.

After a while rei jolted awake.She mumbled alot of swear words under her breath as she looked around.

Ryou glanced up from the paper he was working on. "Morning." He said cheerfully, showing no sign of the troubled boy yesterday.

Rei blinked for a moment them smiled softly "Morning." she then noticed the bowel on the table "Is that for me?" she questioned.

Ryou nodded, almost shyly. "I didn't know when you'd wake up, and didn't want to leave out something that would go bad. If you don't like oatmeal I can get something else."

Rei smiled and took the bowl "This is fine" she put a spoonful in her mouth and culdent help but smiled "I havent had oatmeal since I was little!" she said happly and continued to eat.

"There's some brown sugar in the kitchen if you want me to get you some." Ryou offered, slipping the homework into the textbook and shutting it. He put the book in his bag and stood up, running a hand through his hair.

"No im fine.Thanks anyway." she said already done with almost half the bowl. "So what time does school start?" she asked glansing at the clock.

"It starts at eight, but I usually leave about seven fifteen." Ryou said, glancing over at the clock as well. He still had about half an hour.

"Yeah." Ryou nodded his head. "Did Yugi bring it by yesterday?" Bakura must have been in control, for Ryou could hardly remember a thing.

Rei nodded finishing the oatmeal.Pulling herself so she was sitting up more she looked to ryou "So what classes do you take?" she asked.She just wanted to talk.

"Umm... Just basic stuff. Math, reading, bio, history..." Ryou hesitated as he counted them off of his fingers, and shrugged. "Not much. I don't think I've ever tried to pay much attention in school. I mean, I'll do my homework and everything, but part of me knows it's going to equal up to nothing in the end."

Rei nodded "Yea thats why I dont go..I also refuse to wear pink..." her nose wrinkled up "I hate school uniforms.School should teach things your really going to need."
