Ferno has no theme song... The closest I can think of for him would be Enter Sandman, but its not dark enough music-wise... Perhaps the hampster dance might be more suitable...

Might I suggest "Master of Puppets"? I think it could fit Ferno well.

Never heard it, but Ferno isn't really a puppetmaster type.

It's classic Metallica. It has lyrics that I think fit Ferno well.

Screw the lyrics. That's what killed enter sandman. It doesn't fit him musicwise.

Fine, You want dark and don't care about the Lyrics. Do "Call of Ktulu" by Metallica. It is dark and ominous with no lyrics.

Then it ain't a song then. Which allows me to move past metallica to something that actually isn't "upbeat"....

We're doing theme songs, not just themes.

Here we go.... Closest thing to a theme I'll find for a while:

That is a long-a** song you've choosen for him. I was thinking something along with Lynard Skynyrd for myself.

"The Call of Ktulu" is a song, don't need words to make music. But I do like the song you did choose for him.

I know that, but they don't specifically say drugs. Look at the lyrics they could easily apply to some evil mastermind. But yeah it was originally a drug song.

On second thought nevermind what I said. I just read the lyrics. It is much more clearly a drug song than what I had though. Huzzah for mishearing some of the lyrics! God I feel stupid....

Between drug songs, and "songs" that have no lyrics (which aren't songs by my book; those are classified as "pieces" or "themes") I'm not trusting Johnny's judgement any more with matters pertaining Ferno's personality...

Music and Song are two different things dude. Any song is music, not all music is song. A song is not a sonnet, nor is a song a ballad. there is a difference.

Bull, now were just arguing semantics. "The Call of Ktulu" is considered a song, you don't need a singer for something to be considered a song. The voice is just another instrument, it's absence does not mean that something is not a song. I will use another example, "YYZ" by Rush is considered a great prog. rock song but there are no vocals.

If you're not singing anything, then can a song be sung?

Limited vocabulary and knowledge of terminology is no excuse for improper application of vocalization... Otherwise Beethoven's Fifth is a "song".

You're not going to score any ground against me on this subject, mostly because the slang used by the modern american has degraded music into nothingness. I mean, Jimmy buffett is considered country? Stevie Ray Vaughan as soft rock? Uriah heep as country? eurythmics as oldies? Grateful dead as blues? Billy holiday as Bluegrass?

Laziness isn't being correct. Debate all you want, but you probably don't even have a solid definition as to what your terms are. Trust me. Defining "music" is about the samme as "sport". What does it entail, and what does it not? If no lyrics means its a song, then every piece of music is a song, no if ands or buts.

On a side note, we shoudl probably drop this. This won't achieve anything but proving that we have seperate opinions.

I do agree with you about some of what you say. I don't agree with any of the categorizations that you listed. And I would appreciate it if you refrained from assumptions about me in the future. Yeah let's drop this all that will result from this is bad blood, and that is good for neither of us.

Ditto. Don't make assumptions about me, though. Hypocrisy is something I can't stand. I rarely assume anything, as it usually bites me in the a**.

When did I make assumptions about you? If I did I am sorry, I did not mean to offend.

Only that i assumed something about you. Like i said, i don't assumme many things. I tend to toss out a plausible outcome quite often, but its like bait. I see what's right and what's wrong before really persuing an arguement. Debate class called it "baiting". Many people mistake it for accusations against the other party, but in fact it is just a causal statement.

Anyways, Eurythmics actually has another theme song for Ferno: Sweet dreams.. Kinda funny if you think about it.
