Mizaku turned his head uneasily, watching as the leaves parted and Jendayi began walking towards him. His eyes widened a bit, and he froze for a few seconds. The leopard didn't move, or even breath, as she dropped the rock into his little pile. His paw flexed -or twitched, really-... the completely paranoid side of him was trying to override his current state. The side that only knew "RUN"... but it wouldn't matter, he couldn't run anyway...

Mizaku remarkably was able to keep himself stable, and not lose control to this schizophrenia. He's ears went flat against his skull, and he took in an unsteady deep breath.
"... J-jendayi... I--... I didn't..."
He couldn't seem to talk, and instead, tried to push himself back; away from her. Mizaku wasn't able to move easily... it was very hard for him to push himself backwards...

Jendayi gave a silent cry, Mizaku hadn't changed. Wasn't that what she was just thinking? No, he hadn't changed, he was still scared of her. Would he always be scared? She took another step back and laid down a few feet from him, hoping that made her look smaller and less intimidating. She put a paw into the water and brought it back up. She licked her paw with a certain ease, then turned again towards Mizaku.

"Mizaku... let me tell you something, important. Let me just tell you this, then I would wish for you to tell me your story, I know I overreacted, but maybe... if you just let me tell you how sorry I was, you would forgive me. I didn't want to attack you like that, I didn't mean to do that. And now, now I understand the consequences. If you would like to flee, if you would like to run away, just as I have... then you may. I am not stopping you." Her voice was calm and soothing towards the beginning, but she couldn't.... she couldn't just let him go.

Her voice was shaky now and she spoke again to her beloved: "But, please. Stay one more night? Let me show you, show you that I'm not who you now think I am."

Maji paused in his walking to look her over, his eyesbrows narrowing in concern for the young lioness. She must not be well, it had been weeks since he had seen her. They'd had time to grow into older cubs by that time. He'd seen her last when they were both cubs, taken her deep into the caves and explained about the mistweavers from what he knew on the writings, showed her the pool, and served her a cooked fish. Probibly the first and only one she'd ever had in her life. The next morning she had been gone. She must have sleep walked away, it seemed she was babbeling on about something that, to him, sounded very dream like indeed. "There is need to care for you... you just don't seem yourself." He walked himself in front of her and reached out to touch her forehead, seating himself back on his hind legs to do so. Rains and rivers she was burning up! What had she been doing? Surely it was the sickness... if that was the case then the situation was very serious. It was probibly the illness that had taken the weavers from the land in the first place.

"Kinyamkela...I want you to listen to me and do as I say..." He put his paws on her shoulders, a very odd gesture for a lion but nothing about Maji was lion-like in his behavior. His bright eyes met with her orange ones, "I will care for you, I will see that you get better, and you will lay down and rest. There is a leopard that I'm caring for as well... I want you two to stay close so I can care for the both of you and so when we sleep at night I can keep the both of you safe." How ironic... his mouth twisted a bit at the thought of it. Protecting them? He didn't know how to fight. He had no more use for his claws other than useful tooks to gut fish and cut strips out of grass to weave. Nothing more or less. To think he might have to use them against something other than a fish?! To rip into flesh, perhaps bite and taste blood? It was almost enough to knock him unconcious. A lion indeed but he had no influence in his life to model from other than the talents that had been burned into his mind and what he could read from the walls. So much he didn't know about who or what he was.

He took a deep breath, his large shoulders relaxing a bit, "I want you to go lay down.. please? For me if for nothing else. I will catch some fish, cook them and prepare medicine for the both of you but you have to rest or it will all be in vain."

Kinyamkela shook her head with a pained frown. "No, I'll be fine! Let me see this leopard. Y'know, I once met this cheetah who called them tree-cats. Hah! She was so hyperactive. Anyway you're looking after a leopard? Let me see, let me see."
The large youngling half-skipped another step and then nuzzled her head against Maji's shoulder, before looking up at him with large golden eyes.
"Y'know, you're very clever and kind, Maji." Such sentiments would not normally come from the circumspect lion, but she was, however much she protested, still a little bit ill.

She followed him then docilely until they reached where he had been before. "Where's the leopard?" She said interestedly, turning her head from side to side.

The handsome male lion's face had become very serious and he looked worriedly at the other lion that clearly didn't share his immediate concern. Stalking along in the underbrush she idly followed the young little couple.

"Ah, how sweet." She mumbled to herself. The pair had entered a shelter of some kind, time to make her acquaintances. Steeping out from the grass she called out her presence.

"Hello everyone." She chimed. She wasn't one to be shy, but straight forward and friendly was more her style.

Mizaku kept his ears back, staring at Jendayi. He listened to her carefully while trying to calm himself down. The river; ... it always calmed him... The leopards tail waved back and forth as he started to relax a bit. Yes, this lion had hurt him... but... it seemed she was sorry for it. He wasn't angry at her... just... scared. Maybe she really didn't mean it? ... But he wasn't sure if he'd ever be able to relax around her again... His "condition" would not allow it.

"Je-... Jendayi..." Mizaku stammered, glancing back and forth cautiously, "There's something I--... I should have told you before. But... I didn't think it would... happen so quick. It's... my fault... I'm not like other cats, Jendayi..." He wanted to explain the way he was, but... it was too difficult. He didn't think Jendayi would understand... In fact, Mizaku himself did not even understand.

Jendayi caught herself moving towards Mizaku. She was merely going to comfort him, run her cheek against his like she had before. But, she stopped herself and only looked at Mizaku with glassy eyes. "Mizaku," she interrupted, seeing how hard it was for the words to come from the leopard. "I.. It's.. it's okay, Mizaku." she realized how rude she was being, but wanted to comfort him, let him know she still loved him. No, he never knew. And he never will. Even if he did know... he wouldn't trust me. "Please, go on. I'm terribly sorry for interrupting."Jen laid on her belly, tryiong to look as casual as possible. "Please." she repeated out of instinct.

"I’m Kali," she whispered, not wanting to interrupt a conversation between the two other individuals around the, "I'm new here and was exploring the area when I found you."

Sitting back on her back feet, she relaxed a bit as she tried acting casual. Her eyes peering about the shelter she continued without looking at him, "I'm currently in a cave on the other side of the river, might move, dunno. Lots of runes on the walls," peering back to the younger lion, she motioned to his pelt, "in fact I think I saw some of those types of symbols on the walls."

Mizaku eyed her wearily, but he took a deep breath and reverted his thoughts to an explanation. It was really difficult to understand... especially if she had never experienced something like this... He knew that Jendayi probably wouldn't want to be around him anymore if he told her... But... someone was going to have to know eventually. Might as well be her.

"This might sound... weird," Mizaku started, his voice dull and ashamed, "But... I'm not always the same... person... I know it seems stupid, but it's true... It like... there's... other people living inside me. Sometimes... they make me do things--" The leopard was on the verge of tears, he looked up at Jendayi frightenedly, "Do things I don't want to do." He ended it there... though he could have gone on about how that was the precise reason he was all alone; a young leopard without a family. But... that story would take much longer to tell... and this was already sounding strange enough...

Jendayi stared at Mizaku, a bit frightened herself. No, she wasn't frightened of his strange condition, but the pain it caused him. She let a quiver in her voice be heard as she pushed back the pain of her own past. Jen let go of her worries wether the leopard was scared of her and lovingly wrapped her paws around him ((I don't know if he's sitting down, I'm too lazy to go onto meh other account! XD)) She whispered into his ear, "I don't care Mizaku. I'm so sorry." She was wary of him at first, hearing over and over the words he could barely utter. But, now, she didn't care. She licked the soft fur on the back of his ear gently and spoke again, more to herself now. "It was... wrong of me to attack you. I'm sorry. It was so wrong." Her voice faded and she let her body relax as she let go of her embrace.

((I CAN GET INTO GUILDS AGIAN!! OMG!! lol biggrin ))

Mizaku's eyes widened at Jendayi's sudden actions. He froze, and was unsure of what to do. How could she still like him, knowing that he was such a freak? His own family even hated him... The tan leopard snivelled and eased a bit as she let go; his large, ghostly gray eyes staring endlessly. A wisp from his tail, and flick of his ears, then-... His face dulled emensely; as if falling asleep. His head started falling a bit, and his eyes began hooding over.
"Jen-... dayi..." Mizaku muttered as his muscles went limp, and he simply fell to the side with a huff. His sleepy-looking eyes were almost shut, and he yawned tiredly.

((What the hell is his problem?! xd ))

Yaaay! I'm so happy But it was fun pming! I'm so stupid! <3

Jendayi stared at Mizaku as he fell asleep. He is younger... she said to herself, remembering the age gap between herself and Mizaku. Bu... he was different. Anyone else would have kissed him good night and watched from a tree to ensure his safety. But nooo! Jendayi had to lay down next to him. She put her face close to his and licked the bridge of his nose. "Go to sleep Mizaku." she said with a nurturing voice as she snuggled her chin above her head. Any other creature looking in on them should have been silently berating Jendayi. She rarely thought about her actions, and when she did, she gave little thought to the consequences.

The lioness idly purred, without thought, and let the deep rhythm lull herself to sleep. She saw her necklace just beside Mizaku's ear and smiled at the rock, remembering everything of that day; the running, the rocks, the log...the attack. Everything was wrapped up in that tiny pebble and she felt herself falling asleep to these memories- good and bad (but mostly bad!)

Jen's making some moves! XD I love how misu just... sorta fell asleep! XD

((From AIM RP with Thalion. ^__^))

Maji paced easily from the group. It seemed his servaces in that area were no longer nessicary to them. He'd done his best with healing the wounds on the leopard and patching them up. He was sure to make a full recovery with little more than a few scars and the horrid meomory of obtaining them but aside from that he'd be fine. That is if he remembered to leave the bandages on. Maji had returned the supplies to the gem-lit caves. He could hear the others in the distance but figured that he was better off away from them.

The females were all too busy bickering over who would take him as their king... and the only male was a leopard who had no concern to pridelife at all. Maji's lips curled a bit as he moved to the pond in his "room", ploping down to look at his reflection. Childish, giggeling females the lot of them. They didn't believe the queen lived nor of the existance of the gods. His faith in the both of them was all that kept him going. To them he might be more than a potential mate and shoulder candy.

Ciyari has been wandering her little world - or, as she puts it, getting to know the local prides better. Unfortunately, she skirted the desert, not wanting to get lost in it, and there were precious few felines in the Pridelands and Ela'wadiyi these days. She met a few rogues, got in a few spats, and now the Queen of the Riverstar pride is returning to her current home-away-from-home: the Mistweaver lands.

Ciyari is almost an adolescent - she's certainly much larger than she previous was, and much more agile on her feet. She has a lithe, slender look to her already, and that kind of coy look that stops boys in their tracks and makes parents glare. Her mind, too, has gotten quicker and more subtle; she's not as openly obnoxious as she once was.

The gray female slips through the passageway through the waterfall with no hesitation: this is familiar territory, and she doesn't so much as stub one toe going through the initial pitch-black passageway. "Hodari? Maji?" She calls out sweetly, her voice echoing oddly off of the rocks.

His ear rotated swiftly behind him through the long pearly mane, his brilliant green eyes soon moved with a smoothe turn of his head to face the hallway of winding stone paths. The enterence was along that series of routes- a good walk but not at all unpleasent. A voice could be heard from the entrence nearly to the deeper rooms of the caves- perhaps the weavers had planned it that way to keep in touch. It couldn't be... the voice was firmilar, it haunted his limited meomoy and had given him hope though some of the weaker moments in his mind. He moved to his paws again, reaching up to smoothe back the unusially long mane from his face. It flopped off to one side, long and smoothe, decorated with small beads, feathers, and freshly cut flowers. He always tried to keep up his apperence. She had called him a knight under her afterall and since that title had become part of his formal introduction he'd been careful to keep up his appearence.

Slowly he moved through the halways, praying silently that it wasn't another one of his daydreams. As he rounded this hall and that he sped his pace up a bit. At seeing a figure outlined agains the light pouring through the entrence of the cave he paused, one of his front paws lifted up slightly from the ground as his mouth fell agape. He went to say something but quickly reminded himself of manners. Clearing his throat he placed both paws on the ground before him and bowed, turning one paw inwards towards himself. "Highness.."

The sight of him - trim, neat, with the perfect mixture of humility, pride, grace, and - let's face it, good looks - almost makes her rush up and pounce him in the most unchildlike and unprofessional manner, but she manages to restrain herself and let out her emotions in a deep-throated purr instead, sea-green eyes flashing joyfully. Almost unnoticed, as if as an afterthought, the faintest flickerings of light slides through a small necklace that she wears about her neck, an odd symbol of a forgotten past. It's a new item, and one she's come back with.

Because she's a Queen, however, there are some forms to follow, and oddly enough, this illegitimate child of a god and a greedy rogue is a stickler for forms. Her dark tail-tuft swishes back and forth as she watches him come closer, a faint smile playing around her lips. However, with the utmost graveness, she nods her head to him in turn, one ear quietly twitching. "Rise, Ser Maji," she intones, then lets the smile out. "It's good to see you again."

"I knew you lived." He said quietly, standing himself upright once again. He didn't dare step closer without her permission to do so though a faint smile showed on his pearly lips. He too wore a new item about his neck. In exploring the deeper caves he had found a silver pendant woven onto a string hanging on the wall- it was a pretty plain room really. A few articles like it here and there but aside from that there was little to grow excited about. Another item- a pure silver feather -dangled from an ear. He'd always liked feathers. Their simple forms soft, delicate, and what they brought to the creatures that had them always impressed him. She still remembered his title, it had never been a silly game. That bit was a releaf as well. "Many have come here, your grace." He sighed, seeming a bit frusterated by the news, "Many females claming to be the new queen here. None believed that you lived still... none believe in the gods or goddesses. Like large cubs the lot of them."

She likes the feather. It gives him a very dignified look, and she thinks it's probably suited for a knight to wear. She admires it for a moment, then pays more attention to what he's saying.

And she nearly explodes. New females? Thinking that they're the Queen?

Ciyari realizes several things at once. First, that she probably should not have left the lands for too long; second, that she had left Maji to deal with this. That triggers her almost non-existant conscience, and she feels almost immediately guilty, which annoys her considerably. Consequently, a frown slips onto her svelte muzzle, and her triangular ears curve forwards. "New females?'' Her pupils dilate slightly in anger, but she quickly forces herself to calm down. A Queen never acts so unseemly. And not believe in the gods? That would have been Ciyari a few months ago; but now she's not so certain. She's seen some odd things over the past month that have started to make her wonder.

"They shall soon see the error of that sort of thinking," She says, voice considerably cool. "Who are they, these new females?"
