Akio's swimming wasn't the strongest and he was still tiring fairly quickly but he was doing well seeing as how he had been on land for so long. The training began to be fun for Akio as he swam back and forth across the river. blowing bubbles out of his nose as he splashed around in the water the boy managed to make it to the other side of the river.
"I did it, I did it!" he exclaimed hapily before remembering that the excersise wasn't over until he swam back.

Michi held her rabbit tightly because she missed it during the swim. She saw that another student has arrived. So... now four students are here... one student is absent. She let go of the tight grip and now it was just a normal grasp. Michi looked at Mochi. "What do you think our academy days will be like?" She asked. The rabbit just sniffed around.

Akio had become more confident in his swimming, he no longer needed to imagine he was swimming alongside a shark. As he swam back he tried to do tricks in the water, faltering only once allowing water into his nostrils. He pulled himself out of the water, soaking wet.
"W-hat n-next Momakage?" he asked in a shiver as the cold air blew against his wet body.

Michi saw that everyone had finished thier swimming. I wonder when our next lesson will be? She thought. She got out a carrot for her rabbit and held it up in front of it. She rabbit sniffed it and took a small bite out of it with its teeth. When she saw that it was hungry, she held it closer to Mochi and the bunny devoured it.

"No, no! You don't have to swim back. Well, not right now at least," Tomo said, putting her finger to her chin. "Anywho," she said stepping up off the river as Akio made it safely across. "We're going to learn Kawamiri today. Zephel and Taru, pair up. Michi and Akio, pair up. Does anyone know what Kawamiri is or care to explain it?" Tomo asked them as she brought four bundles of bamboo out from her oversized backpack. She wanted to say a comment at Akio nippin through his shirt, but she'd spare him this once...

"kawarimi..."surko thought quietly to himself trying to remeber what that meant. He rembered his sister saying something about learning a new jutsu called kawarimi."uhhh...nope no clue ma'am" He wandered what kawarimi meant.

Michi listened to Surko try to answer, but he had also failed to understand it. I wonder if Akio or Taru will get the right answer? She wondered while staring at Mochi, who was also doing to same thing to Michi. She smiled and looked away respectfully.

Taru heard Tomo say he should stay where he was, when she did he nodded and sat on the grass cross legged, still dripping water from crossing the river. He then heard her ask if anyone knew what kawarimi was, he thought for a second, and he remembered having heard of it before... he raised up an arm as an answer came to mind, but he decided he was a bit far being on the other side of the river and all, so he put both his hands in front of his hand as he shouted the answer to Tomo "It's a teleportation technique Miss Tomo, where the user exachanges places with an item of some sorts, at least that's how I understand it" he shouted hoping Tomo would hear him well

Michi looked at Taru shout his answer and couldn't believe she forgot about that. Why am I so stupid sometimes? She thought to herself with an annoyed expression. Mochi looked at her with a curious face and Michi looked at it and said, "Nothing." quietly. The rabbit completely understood.

Akio didn't even hear Momakage ask the question about Kawarmi no jutsu. He was way too busy admiring Michi's small rabbit for that. He was impressed with how well Michi took care of the rabit and admired her for treating it so carefuly. 'Not many people give their animals that kind of love'
"I like your bunny." he said to Michi in a shiver. "You groom it very nicely, most people only do what is needed but I can tell that you enjoy grooming him. I can tell it's a him. What's his name?"

Michi heard Akio ask a question about her rabbit. "Thank you, his name is Mochi! Are you interested in animals too?" She asked in excitement, petting the rabbit. The rabbit stared at Akio with its black beady eyes, like it knew it was an animal lover.

Akio giggled when Michi asked him if he liked animals.
"Hah! Are you kidding? I love animals! I don't think that there has ever been a time that I didn't have an animal of some sort with me. Except today of course but your rabit, he's so nice, I'll consider that being around an aniimal. So yup, never."
Akio pulled one of his lunchtime snack bags from his cargo pocket. In the clear bag was a bundle of fresh carrots.
"Can I?" Akio asked the girl.

"Um..." Michi checked to see if her rabbit was hungry. "Are you hungry?" She whispered to her rabbit. Mochi sniffed around, which meant yes. Michi smiled and said, "Mochi said she'll love some fresh carrots! But you'll have to hold him while feeding." She held up the bunny for Akio to hold while feeding the rabbit.
