Meseru faultered falling down a few feet. He spotted the where they had been not long ago. He dipped lower and lower before landing. He collapsed gentally as not to jar Lillian. He layed there nearly unconcious.

Meseru told Lillian,'Just keep talking to me. Don't leave me. I'll heal. Then we will rescue your parents.' He sighed and blinked at the ocean enjoying the sharpy stingy scent of salt and water mixed. He wanted to sleep but he knew he couldn't; he'd die if he fell asleep and he'd leave Lillian alone with her parents under the control of Hoja. He couldn't let that happen.

"Hehe. Always the ladies man Meseru." a person looking exactly like Meseru in human form stood behind them.
Meseru whipped his tail happily,'Nickolvanti! You're here! Where have you been?'
Nickolvanti crouched next to Meseru and ran his hand over him checking out the damage Meseru took,"I've been around. Meseru what have you been doing? Your skull is cracked and you have various cuts."
Meseru sighed,'I was thrown against a tree. Protecting Lillian.'
Nicklovanti rubbed a salve on Meseru's skull and cuts. "This'll do. it seems you'll do anything for love."
