Before we come of age, we aren't allowed to explore the surface on our own. I've always felt curious to know what truth the legends hold. I believe we share a connection to the surface and it's people.. we have so many similarities. We are almost exactly the same, except, you live on the land, and we, beneath it."She said to her...thinking carefully her response. In truth.. she wanted to learn more about them, their ways, their skill. In her studies, generations before her, were in constant battles between mermaids and and humans. Ever since an incident with Ven, she had taken it upon herself to learn as much as she could about all places near the village. They were located not too far off the surface. It wouldn't be long before Ven came of age and he would also come to explore the surface.... She had to make sure it would be safe for him. So far, they seemed peaceful, and her first encounters were kind hearted and polite...

Then Cass rinsed Aqua off & drained the bathtub of its water. Aqua, you can step out of the bath now. Cass said to Aqua. Aqua, did you like your first bath as a human?
