Aha! More signs of life. Mihail began digging quickly, shoveling the snow and debris off to the sides of the new hole he was making. "A--are you uh, are you- are you alive in the--there?" That was probably a dumb question, but if they could make a sound they probably stood a chance at getting back down to the rest of the festivities. Hopefully someone had planned to get these trolls warmed up after they were unearthed.
Finally, he found them. Just as before he offered a hand to provide some anchorage and helped them out of the hole.
Time to start over.

How exactly did they plan this thing so that it wouldn't damage any of the surrounding properties, anyway?

Avvisi QuillsTroll Rescue, troll 1 12:20 Here was something interesting. She could catch trolls... and ask them questions, presumably about the after life of course! Here was her chance. A troll stuck in the ice. The tealblood dug the troll out, and examined them. They looked fine, she was sure trolls could regenerate from frostbite, right? Really, it was time to get to the most important task, asking questions! "Excuse me sir-" Avvisi tried, but the troll got up and ran to get a blanket, ignoring her.

Or did they even plan it at all? He'd have to see what things looked like around the docks after the snow melted.

A yawn so large it felt like his jaw was going to snap off made him pause for a few seconds. Progress was slow, but slow progress was still progress.

After all of this was over, Mihail was pretty sure he'd have to beg Aligaa to let him take a week off just to recover.

AH! Another spot that looked like it might have a buried troll. Mihail began to dig quickly, shoveling piles of snow off to the sides. He had to be careful not to hit the troll inside. This one was pretty lively though - whoever they were - and they broke through the thin layer of snow just as Mihail was going back in for another shovel full of it. They almost collided. Talk about a close call. He helped them out, then started off on the journey again. That was troll 3, right? He was pretty good at this.

Speaking of Aligaa though... Mihail glanced back down at the starting line where his lusus was waiting. He was too big to come out over the snow field safely.
