I'm coming in..." a familiar female voice knocked at the door of the drummer as he was going through his morning exercise routine, shirtless push-ups on the floor the current order of the day...switching from two arms to one to the other from time to time; she had said she was coming in, so he didn't immediately answer the woman and let the door open before he turned his eyes up towards her, "O-oh! I'm sorry...I didn't mean to intrude...should I come back in a few...?" By the tone of her voice and the way she flushed it was clear that she had gotten flustered by the suddenly-sexy scene before her, but her recovery was quite admirable as she coughed and stood rigid in the doorway waiting for his response. He said nothing for a few more repetitions before smirking faintly and pushing himself up to his feet, a hand-towel slung over his shoulder to wipe the drying sweat once this conversation was over.
"What is it, Sako? Another one of them?" the drummer's charisma was muted this morning in favor of his more physical charm, but there was still some of that fire ready to consume the Septentriones in his eye...and after what Yamato had announced last night he was getting himself revved up for what was sure to be a hard fight to come, "Exactly that, I'm afraid. The sixth one, Mizar, has appeared. And there are several complications we'll fill you in on in the meeting room. The Chief will see you in a bit, as well as Fumi, to let you know more. U-until then..." With a brisk nod she began to retreat from the room...but a hand at her shoulder stopped her, making her jump before wheeling around to face the man who had caused her such a sudden bout of nerves. "Yes? What is it, Makushima?"
...It wasn't something he normally said, but this time, for all that had happened, it was quite easy. What a surprise...
"We've been through a lot of s**t together this last week, Sako. You, me, Luvi...we'd probably be dead of JPs hadn't picked us up off the street on the first day, as much as it pisses me off to admit it. And you're the biggest reason I'm still here. I might be skeptical of Hotsuin, but you, I trust. Don't take it the wrong way or anything, but...thanks." He nodded with a measure of finality and released her, earning a small, but honest nod of appreciation from the woman in charge for being so forthright. ...And then he just had to go and ruin it. "Now get out of here, you pervert." He grinned wickedly.

So you guys work hard, while I live it up, got it?"Teasing Sako was one thing, but now he had to get dressed and get ready to go meet with Kanno and Hotsuin about what the day ahead of them had in store. Apparently Mizar was a complicated b*****d, and that kind of a threat after the trouble that Alioth had caused them wasn't something that could be ignored. Officially it had a higher danger level than Alioth as well, which made him wonder just how freaking dangerous an enemy Mizar really was...did he have a special skill? Power? Could he shoot you with a particle laser from the moon? How could you get more overkill than that monstrosity in the sky yesterday?

So you guys work hard, while I live it up, got it?""So what you're saying is that every time we attack this son of a b***h it splits apart into multiple smaller bodies in addition to the big one, and even if we leave them be they will multiply eventually, anyway...and that the spread is happening so fast that the world will be overrun with these bastards in less than 48 hours? That's just ******** great," the drummer wasn't usually quite so colorful in his cursing, not needing to use those types of words to put the proper emphasis on his statements, but these Septentriones really had him acting out of his comfort zone in a number of ways. He turned his attention towards the scientists explaining things to him a moment later and listened to the suggestion they had for dealing with the newest enemy. "And you want me to try Channeling Lugh, so that we can use his power to awaken the...Dragon Stream...to defeat Mizar by turning into a literal dragon and swallowing it whole?"
...Beat...
"You know, I didn't think you could come up with a scenario as ludicrous as yesterday's sexy-time dance-off to defeat Alioth, but congratulations...somehow, you pulled it off," the drummer rolled his eyes in exasperation, moving towards the kiosk outside of the base and opening up his phone in anticipation, "Wait, not yet!" Let's do this!" the drummer challenged the devil as he at last opened his phone again and let the power flow into him...his eyes flashing golden as his every synapse fired like wildfire and his nerve-endings burned dramatically as if they were going to set his skin aflame! s**t, this wasn't anything like the Lugh that he had in his summoning inventory! This was the real thing...and damn, the power might have made him feel like he might melt from the inside but it was amazing! "If you possess me we'll take that son of a b***h down and reap the glory! So come on!"
And yet as he channeled the devil it just didn't complete the possession...they had said the demon's power was scattered by the Earthquakes, so did that mean that he needed to try this a few times before it would work properly? So you guys work hard, while I live it up, got it?""What do you mean Kanno isn't in?" the drummer deadpanned the guy watching over the eccentric scientist's office and glanced over his shoulder through the door just to make sure he wasn't feeding him a line. He wasn't. s**t, he cursed under his breath as the assistant sweatdropped and hoped he wasn't about to get his face broken. "Well you tell her when she gets back from whatever she's doing that I need to talk to her about the possession thing! It's Makushima...but you know that, don't you?"

So you guys work hard, while I live it up, got it?""Right on cue," Touma's lips curled into a wry smirk as the moment he made his way out of the base to check out the town for the first time one of the smaller bodies of Mizar was making its way up the road and immediately honed in on what it must have known was the greatest threat it would see throughout the day. Himself. His fist clenched and he drew out his App, summoning his increasingly-powerful Lugh to fight alongside him. Yeah, they'd said a lot of things about the smaller bodies, but he needed to see for himself just how true what he had heard was. "So you can take anything I can dish out and just split yourself apart, huh? Let's find out if that's true..."
He attacked...
...And yes, it turned out to be absolutely true.
The drummer cursed as the fourth smaller body split into halves and attacked again, forcing him to recall his demon and pull back for the time being. "It's all about working hard and livin' it up. So you guys work hard, while I live it up, got it?"Time to rethink his strategy if he was going to take down those multiplying sons of bitches. Hitting them with multiple attacks didn't seem to be the ticket, but perhaps if they could hit each Body with an attack powerful enough to wipe it out before it could regenerate? But that was only going to stall the problem, because they didn't have anywhere NEAR the fire power to pull that off against Mizar's main body right now. That would take something like the Dragon Stream that he had been told about...and that was going to require Lugh, as suspected. Man, this whole idea was completely insane. But they had to keep the smaller bodies at bay for now just to keep the town from being overrun while they prepared the fight for the big one.

So you guys work hard, while I live it up, got it?"His test run with his upgraded Lugh's new power hadn't gone exactly as intended; rather, he had nearly been annihilated by the increasing number of Mizar that surrounded him when a simple stroke of luck had managed to save the pink-haired drummer from what would have been an especially grizzly fate! And that stroke of luck was none other than...a diversion! Someone running by behind with blond hair and a white shirt with a rose in the collar was screaming as seven Mizar Bodies attacked and chased him from behind, not quite able to catch up but not losing him either...and that diversion had drawn the smaller bodies away from Touma, giving him the chance to breathe as he at last let his guard down and looked at his useless demon, wondering how much stronger he needed to get to be a threat to those?

Touma pushed off of the guard rail as the doof that had saved him before was now putting him in mortal peril by bringing a Mizar back up the hill in his direction! s**t, maybe...no, he wasn't going to save the kid for saving him before, just knock the ******** thing's head off to send a message! And wasn't this one a little small, anyway? Maybe if they attacked at the same time...his fist clenched and he decided that it was now or never. Why not?

You never LEARN!" his demon summoned behind the purple body of their foe and they attacked together...power swelling in the latter and his own rage fueling his own attack...and the simultaneous attack had been just enough to get the job done! So you guys work hard, while I live it up, got it?"That had been satisfying, but now that he knew what he was up against Touma knew that he needed to prepare for the next encounter against those things or he was going to be in a lot of trouble. He was strong and proud, but he also wasn't above recognizing when he needed to improve himself to overcome a threat. And this, well...this was about as galactic a threat as there could be to one's own well being and that of the people that you generally didn't want to see become dead people. First order of business was to make some money to spend on that demon auction...buy some more allies and then fuse the s**t out of them.
