Marati found herself on the path to the Cliffs once more. Perhaps with a new outlook on things she could find something she had overlooked the last time? It made sense and so she started upwards, though her progress was hindered slightly by the falling rocks.

Why she was suddenly afraid of bridges she had no idea, but she seriously considered turning tail and fleeing. Pure stubbornness kept her moving forward, ever ahead, until she neared the end. she could see the end of the bridge, it was six steps away and yet she stopped, terror gripping her yellow heart.
She shivered for a moment and then leapt into action, bolting the last steps she needed to get across.

Oh yes. The Harpies. She had almost forgotten about them.
The first one screeched and dove at her, but Marati was prepared; Despair's Razor was pulled free and swung, catching one of the monster's wings.

A harpy's beak snapped at her leg as she tried to kick it away, tearing grey skin and drawing a hiss of pain. With a growl she turned, bringing Despair's Razor down on the beast's neck as it went in for another bite.

Marati dove to the side, rolling to avoid a screaming aerial dive from the beast. This time her blade snapped across the inside of the open beak, splitting it's maw just a little wider.

They attacked once more, and yet again the yellow-hearted greyling used her sword as a baseball bat, smacking the attacking Harpy once more. That was apparently all the warning it needed, and it flew off, cawing its promise of revenge.

The next caught him off-guard, and he staggered back, barely managing to keep it away from his face and neck.

Shaw kept swinging, sweat beading his brow, until the last of the harpies was gone. He held his weapon in front of him for a few moments longer, tense.
When he was certain he was alone as he was going to get, he made his way up to the clifftop, seizing his prize.
He smiled, chest swelling with pride. He'd done it. The trip back down seemed much shorter...

Acerola was standing at the base of the cliffs, hands on her hips, and she surveyed up. The side seemed to go up, past the fog, and forever onward.
As she was looking up however, a rock seemed to appear out of nowhere and hit her in the head. Ouch.
