A. Yes, we're open for ads.
B. Serieve has thepress access.
C. It wouldn't be a bad idea to publish the ad for free since it technically *is* our first ad.

If you're talking about "Mill Avenue Vexations" then yeah, it's one of the better stories I've seen on Gaia.
Hawthorne is a pretty talented fellow.

I've been thinking about how we seem to be slightly short staffed (ex. we could use another main Reviewer to work opposite me), and I thought maybe we could post a Hiring thread in the WF next month. In it we could have the positions we're currently looking for, as well as some other options. Of course, it's always nice to have more people to submit random poetry and prose, but we could also use so more columns, reviewers, and I'm sure much more. Does this sound like a good idea to anyone?

Does this sound like a good idea to anyone? How would the Hiring thread work? Would any applicants have to post based on the same guidelines as are posted on the front page of this guild? Because, correct me if I'm mistaken, but some things have changed, and the original guidelines many not cover everything. Also, what happens to some staffies who are no longer here? But yes, sounds like a rather good idea.

Because, correct me if I'm mistaken, but some things have changed, and the original guidelines many not cover everything. Also, what happens to some staffies who are no longer here? But yes, sounds like a rather good idea. Well, I'd think we could change the requirements as we see fit. People hoping could join could post their applications there, complete with links to writing samples, suggestions or comments about the Press, and ideas for their own columns/what have you. I'm not sure of the specifics, but I think it might help the staff stay enthused to have some new faces around. Old staffies would still remain part of the guild, and could come back at any time (we don't want to just kick people out sad ), but there would room for some new voices to be heard. On another note, I beleiver there was a discussion awhile back involving our next big project, or really the fact that we need one. I was thinking maybe we could do something like the Seven Deadly Sins project, only this time on emotions (hate, anger, dispair, etc.) or qualities (honesty, trickery, honor, etc.). Not sure if that would float again, but it's just a suggestion 3nodding

The Index is down towards the botom of the page, as posts are rarely added. They're usually edited to include the more recent information. I think it's called the Author Index. Rather useful if you don't want to browse through the whole Archive.

It could be stickied, but there's always the problem of having too many stickies that clutter up the guild. And it can't be updated until Serieve gets back, or until one of the crew decides to. I can only edit my original posts.

*wince*
Just catching up on last month's lack of procrastination. But seeing as I'll have some band functions coming up, I may as well start doing something now.

The re-occuring problem with hiring stafies, I have seen, is that they rarely stick around. *grumbles*
Lill, you're not crew?
Also, Happy Winter-Een-Mas to all, and to all a good game!
As for the Project thinggie....maybe a Movie vs. Novel debate of the book-turned-movies that came out last year? Like, one staffie takes the Movie side, another staffie takes the Novel side.

Nemea The re-occuring problem with hiring stafies, I have seen, is that they rarely stick around. *grumbles* Lill, you're not crew? Well, most people have a life outside of an internet forum. I say most, as I am one of those who don't. And no, I'm not crew. Haven't been for a while. Oh, and Nemea? When is the actual cut-off date for submissions? A concrete-solid date, if you don't mind.

Trust me, Serieve, you've actually done very well with the 'zine. Alicemae would be proud. (Yes, I know I am extremely bad at giving compliments. sweatdrop )

Lill: Ugh, I just discovered only captain (Alicemae) can make memebrs crew....dammit. And cut-off is 25th.
Serieve: Yes, you very much have been doing an awesome job.
