Arielle Shore

User Image
Neither Arielle nor Maria were able to get their say about the swimsuit thing. The two of them didn't mind either way, even though Arielle felt like it would be better to wear their bathing suits with a pair of shorts they didn't mind getting wet. It wasn't until Kedrick made the comment about Dimitri wanting to see Maria in a swim suit that seemed to spark some kind of response between them. Arielle looked at Maria who only blinked in surprise and blushed lightly.

I'm surprised Dimitri didn't comment back about Kedrick wanting to see his own girlfriend in her swim suit, Maria thought, doing her best to not giggle at Dimitri while he was trying to explain himself about Kedrick's comment. Even though she was slightly embarrassed by it, she found Dimitri's reaction cute and adorable, which would probably make him blush more horribly than before.

"We'll see you there, Kedrick," Arielle replied, giving him a small wave before readjusting everything she was holding. She looked at Dimitri and gave him a small smile. "Don't worry. I didn't think of what you said in the way that Kedrick was joking about. So, there's no need to feel embarrassed." She didn't say anything else as she walked into the tent that she believed had to be the one she and Maria were sharing.

Maria walked up to Dimitri and smiled warmly at him, kissing his cheek. "Have I ever told you how adorable you were when you're embarrassed and flustered? Because you definitely are," she smiled sweetly at him and somewhat flirtatiously before giving him a small wave, "See you after our transformation~." She giggled cutely before joining Arielle in their tent and closing the flap.

The time of the girls changing didn't take them that long as they found their swimsuits, debating on who should wear what. Maria had packed two, saying that one was for fun and one was for Dimitri, which caused Arielle to giggle. Since they were about the same size, they spent the time trying on the swimsuits they had on and figuring out which one would look best on the other. Not too long after, the girls walked out in the swimsuits they had chosen as well as wearing a pair of shorts over top of the bottom of their swimsuits.

Arielle walked out first, finishing up a long plait that she had started so that her hair wouldn't be all over the place if she had fallen into the water. She wore a sky blue tankini and a pair of washed out denim shorts and baby blue flips flops. Maria had tried to get her to wear a swimsuit that showed her midriff, but Arielle couldn't bring herself to do it without being embarrassed. "Hurry up, Maria," Arielle said, pushing her long braid behind her, "Let's not keep the boys waiting."

"Alright, alright. I'm coming," Maria replied as she came out of the tent wearing a white bikini, kacky shorts and white flip flops. She had made her one ponytail into two and made a face at Arielle. "There's no need to rush me, chica. The boats aren't going anywhere. Plus, we need to put on some sunscreen..."

Dimitri smiled sheepishly at Maria as she came over, rubbing the back of his neck with a hint of embarrassment. His skin tingled with warmth as Maria kissed his cheek, and his smiled became less embarrassed. Of course this way short lived as she commented on his flusteredness. They boys cheeks went pink again, and he placed a hand on her shoulder, giving her a gentle shove as she turned to go. "Aw come on, not you too." He whined, but there was a slight smirk on his lips.

Kedrick walked back up next to Dimitri, deciding that, yes, he was curious to see the girl's 'grand unveiling.' He shifted slightly. "I feel kind of silly now." He said with a smirk, glancing over at Dimitri who was paying him minimal attention. "I mean...on the off chance...you know...in case something crazy happens and someone does...Y'know...fall in..." He hesitated slightly, and then sighed. "I'll be right back..." He grumbled under his breath, before disappearing into the first tent.

Dimitri smirked. "I thought you might." He called after him, slouching back into a more relaxed position.

Of course, with less deciding, and trying on to do, Kedrick was done considerably faster than the girls. He came out of the tent wearing a pair of tan swimming trunks with white and dark brown trim, a white t-shirt hanging loosely in his hand. He clawed the shirt on over his head as he walked back over to Dimitri, standing next to him again. "Happy?" He asked, with a hint of bitter sarcasm.

"Very." Dimitri replied smugly, nodding his head once. The conversation stopped abruptly as the girls arrived, and the two boys goggled wordlessly for a moment, just staring. Then, they glanced at each other and smirked, walking over to the girls. Dimitri whistled quietly, looking Maria up and down, while Kedrick paced in a slow circle around Arielle, studying her choice of suit critically.

Kedrick stopped in front of Arielle, and looked her directly in the eyes. He smiled, a kissed her nose. "You look stunning." He said, wrapping his arms loosely around her waist, and giving her a gentle peck on the lips.

Dimitri mimicked the movement, looping his arms around her, his finger tips tingling as they brushed against the skin of her back. "Breath taking." Dimitri said simply, touching his forehead to hers. After a moment, Dimitri glanced over at Kedrick, with a mischievous smirk. "You know, I figured you where just as eager to see little Ari in a swimsuit as I was to see Maria."

Kedrick blinked once, and then a lightly blush crept into his cheeks. "Wh-what are you talking about?" He stammered, looking away from him. Kedrick felt Dimitri poke him in the middle of the back and he turned back to him quickly, he face now quite pink. "C-come one Dimitri, that's not what I meant!" He argued."

Dimitri held his hands up, stepping back from Maria a pace. "Okay, okay, But we're even now hmm?" He prompted, a smirk still on his lips. He didn't really wait for a response from Kedrick, who was still fairly flustered. He looked back at the girls. "So what are we waiting for? Lets go! We can take care of sun screen down there."

Looks like Kedrick caved in after all, Arielle thought after she noticed that Kedrick was no longer wearing what he had worn prior to the canoeing idea. She couldn't help but notice how the boys were looking at herself and Maria like something had just happened. She looked at Maria, who looked just as confused as she was. Before she could even ask what was wrong, the boys walked up to them and Kedrick was circling around her, making her blush out of embarrassment.

He's judging my bathing suit, Arielle thought worriedly, What if... What if he doesn't like it... She tried her best to not look like his looks concerned her, and she immediately thought back on how Maria's brothers had done the same thing to Dimitri back during the barbeque.

She looked back at him, getting lost in his eyes before she found herself smiling back at him. She couldn't hide her embarrassment, but she was flattered as well. She kissed him back, holding onto him just as loosely. "Thanks Kedrick," Arielle replied, almost as if she was whispering a secret to him, "I'm so glad you approve."

Maria wanted to giggle at Dimitri's whistle, even if the said action turned her cheeks pink. She felt shivers run down her spine as Dimitri's warm fingers made contact on her bare back. She smiled lovingly at him, batting her eyelashes before giggling silently. "Looks like my plan worked," Maria said with a flirty smile.

Of course, Maria wasn't surprised when Dimitri managed to strike back at Kedrick by commenting about how he was excited to see Arielle in her swimsuit like he was for herself. She giggled and realized that the boys always seemed to react adorably when they were embarrassed. She knew that even she and Arielle may seem the same to the boys.

Both girls giggled at Kedrick's flustered actions. They knew that Dimitri was right and they were both excited to start canoeing. Maria walked over to Dimitri, holding onto his arm while Arielle stayed close to Kedrick, trying to relieve him of his flustered actions.

Kedrick smiled as Arielle followed close behind him. The color had faded from his cheeks now, although he still has the odd, warm sensation in his chest that usually came with embarrassment. Kedrick swung his hands, loosing at his sides, catching Arielle's fingers in his and slowing ever so slightly so that he was walking beside her rather than in front of her.

Dimitri smirked, his eyes drifting closed for a moment as she looped her arm though his. He glanced over at her, the sun shinning radiantly off of her reddish hair. Dimitri smiled warmly at her, giving her fingers a gentle squeeze. He had kicked off his shoes and socks before they had left the campsite and the pebbly sand felt nice and pleasantly warm under his feet.

Soon, the small group at reached the rental shack and Kedrick let Arielle's fingers slide from his. "Wait on the dock guys, I'll go talk to the owner." He said with a smile.

Dimitri nodded his head in agreement, "Okay, The girls said the needed to get sun screen on anyways." He said with a small smile, and then turned, strolling casually out onto the dock. Dimitri looked out at the blue-green water of the lake, and then decisively sat down on the edge of to dock, his feet splashing into the luke-warm water. He turned back to the girls, looking over his shoulder at them. "Hey ladies," He called with a hint of a smirk. "Catch." He tossed the bottle of sun screen over to Maria.

Dimitri couldn't help but marvel at the wonderful weather today, the sky was clear and the breeze was warm. And even though there was a hint of chill in the lake water, Dimitri was almost tempted to jump in and take a swim. Out of the corner of his eye, Dimitri could see Kedrick talking with the owner of the rental shack, taking two of the canoes off of their large racks where they where stacked and stored.

After a few minutes, Kedrick, accompanied by the owner, came over to the group, dragging the canoes along behind them. Kedrick straightened, letting go of the ring on the front of the canoe once they had reached the dock. Kedrick turned to the older man, smiling at him. "Thank you for the help sir, we should be fine from here."

The man nodded his head, brushing off his wrinkled hands. "Of course," He replied in a slightly husky voice. "Take care on the water, and remember that the boat have to be back by sun down." He caution, looking up at Kedrick out from under bushy white eyebrows.

Kedrick smiled reassuringly at the gentleman. "Don't worry sir, we won't be that long." He said, and began sliding the canoe into the water.

The man nodded, and turned to head back to the rental shack. "Alright young man, you and your friend enjoy yourself then." He said with a slightly crooked smile.

Kedrick nodded and waded knee deep into the water, looking over at Dimitri and the girls. "Everyone ready?" He called, his eyes bright with excitement.

Dimitri hauled himself to his feet, water rolling down his ankles to seep into the boards of the dock. "Ready captain!" He called with a mock-salute, grinning at his friend. "Girls?" He asked, turning to them once again. "Ready to set sail?"

Arielle Shore

Arielle smiled as she felt Kedrick's fingers intertwine with hers. Of course, there was never a moment when she didn't enjoy holding his hand. She blinked in surprise when she noticed that he was no longer walking in front of her, but she didn't mind because she loved having him near.

Maria was so glad that they had been lucky enough to get such wonderful weather. She looked back at Dimitri and smiled warmly at him, having no desire of letting go off his fingers. The temperature was just right and she knew that she had to enjoy every bit of it before the Winter came.

As soon as they reached the dock, Arielle waited alongside with Maria and Dimitri while Kedrick went to talk to the owner. She watched as Dimitri himself walked into the water, probably tempted to go in like she was before he had tossed the sunscreen over to Maria. When he had done that, Arielle suddenly realized that they still needed sunscreen. Before she could ask if Maria could do her back, she felt the coolness of sunscreen on her back.

"Don't worry, Ari," Maria said with a smile, "I've got your back. Literally I've got your back." She giggled at this and laughed even louder when Arielle joined in, light shining in her eyes at her own bad pun. It didn't take the girls that long to put sunscreen on each other and Maria had to make sure that she and Arielle were one hundred percent covered and the sunblock rubbed into their skin.

When they had finished, Kedrick had already returned outside and was standing knee deep in the water. Maria and Arielle were excited themselves about their first activity. Both girls walked up to the boys, so that they were facing them and saluted them as if they were sailors.

"Aye, aye, capitán~!" Maria responded with a giggle, enjoying the feel of the water already.

"Yes captain~! I am definitely ready!" Arielle exclaimed with the same amount of enthusiasm, a bright grin highlighting her face.

Kedrick smiled at the two girls, glad that they were ready to go. "Well then," He said, stepping lightly into the bottom of the canoe, the metal warm under his bare feet. "Let's see if these crafts are see worthy." Kedrick looked up, and held out his hand to Arielle."May I ask your hand M'lady."

Dimitri snicked softly, dropping into the bottom of the other canoe. "If there's gonna be a wedding, I want to be the best man 'kay?" He said with a grin.

Kedrick tipped his chin down, a slight blush coloring his cheeks. "C-come on Dem, that's not what a meant and you know it..." He said in a slightly sulky tone. He smiled uncertainly, looking back up and meeting Arielle's gaze. "I uh...I hope you don't mind waiting for a little while before we get to that huh?" He asked sheepishly.

Dimitri smirked, and reached out, taking Maria's hand so that she wouldn't accidentally fall in to the water. He helped her into the boat, sitting down on one of the benches that where built into the inside and picked up one of the oars before looking back at Kedrick and Arielle. "If you say so." He said with a grin, and handed one of the oars forward to Maria. "Okay, here's the plan." He said, the gleam of a challenge in his eyes, Dimitri decided it'd be best if someone took charge regarding the races. "Maria and I will race you and Arielle, then we'll do guys against girls." He said, nodding his head once.

Kedrick nodded his head in return. "Okay, sounds good to to me, what about you girls?" He asked, glancing over at the two of them. "Sound like a plan?" Kedrick cocked his head to the side, a cool breeze rustling though his blond hair.

Arielle Shore

User Image
Arielle stepped into the water, surprised at how cool it felt, but then found it just fine. She waited for Kedrick to get into the canoe before figuring out how she would get in. She appreciated that Kedrick was going to help her in, probably hoping that she wouldn't fall over into the water, despite the fact it made no big difference to her. She smiled shyly and reached out her hand to take his before Dimitri made a comment about being Kedrick's best man. It took her awhile before she replayed what Kedrick said and blushed lightly.

She saw that she wasn't the only one blushing, especially since she wasn't surprised that Kedrick wouldn't be embarrassed from Dimitri's comment. She wasn't sure what she could say, and then her blush got worse when Kedrick mentioned it subtly again. Arielle wasn't thinking much of the future and it took her awhile to not stutter something out due to her embarrassment. She shook her head lightly, not sure just how red in the face she was from embarrassment. "I-It's fine... P-Patience is a virtue, no?" she asked in response, just as sheepishly as he did.

"Of course you had to embarrass the poor children," Maria teased with a light smirk as she let Dimitri help her in. She remembered briefly the conversation about marriage coming up at the barbeque they had just a week before, especially Kyla's response to having to wait until Arielle and Kedrick were ready to actually be married. And then her thoughts traveled to her two goofy older brothers calling Dimitri their future brother in law. She knew that they were being their ridiculous selves, but at the same time, she wondered if that would actually come true. She hadn't been dating Dimitri that long, so she knew he was naive for her to think that in ten to twenty years into the future that they'd be wed, but she didn't want to think negatively about it either. So, in order to best avoid the topic in her mind, she returned her focus back to everyone else.

Both girls listened to Dimitri's preposition about how the rounds of the race would work. It sounded fair and it was easy, but Maria couldn't help but feel like something was missing. "What about having a final round where I'm on Kedrick's boat and Arielle is with you, Dimitri? That way, we've done every possible pairing with just the four of us."

"That does seem like fun," Arielle responded, contemplating the idea, "Plus, I'm sure we have enough time to do three races. Unless you boys want to have something done before it gets too dark, then we can just stick with the plan that Dimitri thought up."

Kedrick smiled sheepishly. "Right." He said, in answer to her statement 'patience is a virtue.' He nodded his head once, somewhat glad Maria had cut into the conversation.

Dimitri smiled over at Maria, his eyes flashing mischievously in the bright sunlight. "Of course I had to embarrass them, that's what best friends are for huh?" He asked, craning his neck back to see her. They were now all seated in the canoes and he had to look back over his shoulder at her, twisting his back slightly and resting his elbows on the oar that lay across his lap.

Dimitri listened to the girls suggestion and then nodded his head. "I didn't think about that." He said with a small frown, and then looked back up, smiling again. "I think that'll work." He said nodding his head once, and turning back to face forward.

Kedrick smiled, looking over at his friend with a gleam of a challenge in his eyes. "Okay, so Arielle and I against Maria and Dem, then we'll do guys vs. girls, and lastly, Maria and I against Arielle and Dimitri." He finished, sticking his oar in the water.

Dimitri hummed his agreement. "Sounds like a plan, but Arielle's right, if we don't start soon it may be dark on us." He said, "Let's get started." With a slight grunt of effort, Dimitri dug the oar into the sandy bottom of the lake and shoved away from the dock. He smiled, the sound of the canoe slicing through the water was pleasing as it bubbled and gurgled away from to bow. Out of the corner of his eye, Dimitri could see Kedrick beginning to push away from the dock as well.

Kedrick looked back over his shoulder at Arielle as he pushed out into the dark blue-green water. "Ever done any canoeing Arielle?" He asked, just curious to see weather or not she was at all familiar with boating.

Maria nodded, finding sense in Dimitri's response, even though she barely embarrassed Arielle that often. Teased her, yes. Point out her mistakes, yes. Was always by her side when her friend needed her, yes. Maria might have embarrassed Arielle before, but she never did it as often as it seemed that Dimitri did to Kedrick. Different best friends do different things, I suppose, Maria thought with a light smile as she continued listening to the rest of the conversation.

Arielle nodded and was glad that they were able to come to an agreement, liking the way their fun little competition. She looked around, hoping that it would stay bright out for just a bit longer, especially because she wasn't looking forward to trying to find her way back in the dark.

She turned her attention to Kedrick seconds after Dimitri declared the race had started. She gave Kedrick's question some thought, trying to remember if she had done such a thing before shaking her head. "I've never gone canoeing," she responded, "My parents were going to take me when I was eight... But... They died before we could have that experience. However, I'm glad I can share my first time canoeing with you, Kedrick. As well as with Dimitri and Maria." She smiled warmly, quickly pushing away any depressing thought that may have appeared when mentioning about the death of her parents.

"Cya at the finish line~!" Maria exclaimed with a giggle before she thought and realized something crucial to their race. She looked at Dimitri, a look of questioning on her face. "Dimitri, what marks the finish line anyway?"

Kedrick listened intently to Arielle as she spoke, that same, distant look in her eyes that she always seemed to get when she talked about her parents. But soon, her beautiful, warm smile lit up her face again, and Kedrick felt the tight knot that had begun to form in his chest loosen immediately. He smiled gently at her, and nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah, me too." He said with a smile. "If we're going to go straight, which we'll need to for the race, you'll have to paddle on the opposite side as me. Okay?" He asked, looking back at her.

"Finish line huh..." Dimitri mused, scanning the surface of the lake for something recognizable that couldn't be missed, and couldn't be moved. It would have to be far enough to be a fair race, but then again the lake was very large, there could be a number of places the could stop. Finally, the dark haired boy decided. He nodded his head, seeming to confirm his decision with himself. "Alright, Look out that way..." He said, pointing across the lake. "It looks like there used to be a long dock there, there's still a post sticking out of the water. That's our finish line okay?" He said, looking over across the water at Kedrick to make sure he understood exactly where he was talking about.

Kedrick squinted, and within moments, had spotted the tall, weathered post that stood in the water. It was grayed with age, and leaned distinctly to one side but it was clearly visible. He smiled and, with some effort, pulled he and Arielle's canoe along side Dimitri and Maria's. "I see it." He said with a smile, pointing in it's direction just to make sure he and Dimitri where looking at the same post.

Dimitri nodded grimly, his eyes set and determined as he stared at the post. "Right." He said, a smile tugging on the corner of his lips. He looked over at Kedrick, a hint of a cocky gleam in his eyes. "See you there." He said with a smirk and then glanced at Maria. "Ready-" Dimitri said, his voice taunt with anticipation. "Go!"

Arielle nodded, hoping that it was as simple as Kedrick explained it to be. The last thing she wanted was to mess up horribly. She knew that the race was for fun, and even though they would be a little competitive, it wasn't like it was a big deal. Just a group of friends enjoying themselves. She gave him a small smile, hoping that she didn't look too anxious to him.

Maria looked in the direction that Dimitri was pointing towards after his few moments of silence. Even she tried to scan around for a finish line, but she wasn't sure the distance from where they where to the exact location. She had no idea just how far it was, but it was easily recognizable from where they were at now.

Arielle herself took in the sight of their "landmark", making sure that she kept a good visual of it in her head. She placed her fingers in the water as Kedrick pulled their boat alongside Dimitri and Maria's. She knew for a fact that she couldn't wait to go swimming in the lake.

Maria was ready when Dimitri was ready, her anticipation rising. After being stuck in traffic for so long, she was happy to have something fun to do to kick off her week. She returned Dimitri's smirk and looked at Kedrick and Arielle, who showed the same amount of excitement and enthusiasm. At the sound of Dimitri's 'Go!', she interested herself in picturing a gun going off like they were in a race. She picked up her oar and started rowing in the opposite direction so she wouldn't cause their boat to go in circle.

(Why do I feel like this needs to be better? = w =.)

Dimitri plunged his oar deep into the water, pushing forward with a powerful first stroke. The front of the boat veered slightly as he realized that he was pushing harder than Maria, and the boat was beginning to turn. He quickly adjusted the level of power he was putting into his strokes so it more matched Maria's.

Kedrick kept his eyes locked on the weathered post that stuck out of the water, not wanting to loose sight of it. For a first time, Kedrick thought Arielle was doing very well. The wind rippled the surface of the lake with a gust of warm air and Kedrick blinked rapidly to clear his vision. He felt an odd buzzing sensation in his upper arms from where his muscles weren't used to this kind of exercise. Briefly, he hoped he didn't get sore, and the refocused his mind on the race.

Finally, Kedrick pulled his oar out of the water, a victorious grin on his face and he turned around to see Maria and Dimitri. They actually weren't that far behind, a mere few feet. "

"You cheated!" Dimitri called hotly, his face slightly flushed, breath coming a little harder than normal. He was trying his best to hide his smile, He knew he'd have one more race to see if he could beat Kedrick, but then he'd also have to work together with him, so he couldn't let himself get too irked.

"How do you figure?" He asked, it seemed he was always questioning Dimitri's accusations, but it was kind of fun, just their speed of playful banter.

Dimitri shrugged. "Don't ask me, you where the one that did it, so you tell me." He said with a smirk, and then seemed to drop the conversation, picking up another one just as quickly. "Okay, guys vs. girls, then Arielle and I'll take you on." He said, and began pulling the boat over along side Kedrick's.

Kedrick looked at him suspiciously. "What are you doing?" He asked with a frown. "We need to go back to the docks to switch boats." Kedrick pointed out, his concern mounting as he saw Dimitri pulling himself to his feet.

"I don't think that'll be really necessary." Dimitri said dismissively, shrugging his shoulders and quickly holding his arms out as the boat wobbled underneath him. It seemed that when standing in a boat, every movement you made was magnified. Dimitri, seeing Kedrick was about to protest to what he was no doubt thinking, Dimitri jumped lightly over into the other canoe. The boats had only been separated by three or four inches of water, but none the less, Kedrick and Arielle's boat rocked dangerously.

Kedrick let out a yell of alarm, one hand flashing out the grab the back of Dimitri's shirt, stabilizing him, his other hand grabbing the edge of the boat as though that would somehow help. He stopped, looking up at Dimitri. "Are you crazy!?!" He almost shouted, even though he was having a very hard time not laughing at the almost-catastrophe. "You could have tipped us and we haven't even gotten though our second race!"

Dimitri grinned. "But I didn't." He said simply, and then turned to Arielle, holding down his hand to her. "Come on Arielle, I'll help you across, I promise it won't be so bad as mine." He said with a light hearted grin. Dimitri grabbed her hand, and Kedrick, wanting to make sure she got over safely, took her other hand. "Watch you're step." Dimitri said with a smile.

Maria blinked in surprise as she felt the both move in a direction that it shouldn't have been heading in. The reason, which Maria found out quickly, was because Dimitri had a more powerful stroke than she did, and because of their difference in strength, the boat ended up moving in a different direction. Luckily, Dimitri had managed to even out her stroking with hers and they continued on at a steady, yet decent enough pace.

Arielle was scared that she would do horribly for her first time, but she kept Kedrick's words in mind and made sure that her strokes were from opposite from Kedrick's. As soon as she had gotten the hang of it, she smiled to herself, feeling a bit more confident and glanced at Kedrick who seemed to be concentrating on their finish line.

She had barely been able to notice how long they had been rowing when Kedrick pulled his oar out of the water. Arielle pulled hers out as well and looked around to notice that they had reached the finish line. She was surprised on just how quickly it took them to get there. Looking back, she saw Maria and Dimitri coming from behind, not that far away from them.

Maria was surprised about just how quickly the first race went, but she also enjoyed it as well. There was nothing like doing a race with friends or family that made her feel more energetic. She was glad that Arielle, Kedrick, and Dimitri were enjoying themselves. Of course, before Maria could congratulate Arielle and Kedrick on a good first round, Dimitri, being his goofy self, joked around with Kedrick about him cheating to get there first. She rolled her eyes lightly and giggled, never ceasing to be entertained by the two boy's antics.

Arielle also listened, a smile appearing on her face. She shouldn't have been surprised that Dimitri would joke around with that kind of accusation. She noticed that Maria was enjoying it as well. Of course, before could be discussed on Dimitri's first topic, Dimitri switched into announcing the next round, which was the gender race.

Both girls wondered if they were going to return back to the shore and switch there when they saw Dimitri bring the boat over. They didn't say anything as Kedrick expressed his concern, especially since they were so far out from the shore. However, Dimitri was confident in himself and jumped into the other canoe, and both girls held their breath in retaliation, as well as Arielle making sure that she or Kedrick wouldn't fall over in the water.

Maria didn't say anything, letting out a sigh of relief when Kedrick and Arielle's boat were steady and all three of them were safe. She wasn't able to lecture Dimitri about how reckless he was because Kedrick had beaten her to it. So she let him continue, not saying a single thing.

Arielle looked just a little sick, due to the rocking of the boat and her thought that it would've tipped over. Luckily, that wasn't the case and all was well. After everything seemed calm, she only listened, somewhat distantly, as Kedrick scolded Dimitri for his careless action. She blinked as her name was called before she realized that Dimitri was going to help her cross over. She stood up and took his hand and Kedrick's when she noticed that he was helping to make sure she was alright. She nodded to Dimitri's words, knowing that she didn't want to fall in or worse.

"And the three of you be careful," Maria said, worriedly, "I don't want any of you falling into the water, even if it does look beautiful." She made sure there was enough space for Arielle and stood up slowly so that she could take her friend from the boys into the boat.

Kedrick waited until Maria had made sure there was room in their canoe before they made their way to the edge of the boat. "Okay..watch your step, don't pull something like Dimitri." He cautioned, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. He wouldn't want her to fall in the lake before they where already, he thought that would happen after they where done racing. Honestly, Kedrick wasn't sure what he thought of swimming in the lake. He was no germaphob, but he had also never swum in a lake before, and he didn't know what it would feel like.

Dimitri grinned to himself, looking past Arielle to Kedrick. "Come on now, don't be mean." He chided playfully before turning his attention back to Arielle. "Ready, we're letting you over." He said with a reassuring smile, announcing it as much for Kedrick's sake as for Arielle. Dimitri stopped at the very edge of the boat. "Over you go, don't slip!" He said cheerfully.

Kedrick almost held his breath as they guided her over the short gap. Once she had one foot safely on the other boat, he breathed a little more freely. Kedrick made sure she had enough momentum to get over, and then released her hand, desperately hopping the boat didn't rock to much. "You alright?" He asked, just in case.

Dimtiri, once he had released Arielle, sat down and tuned his attention to Maria, who was now just across from him. He figured that she was probably thinking that he had been reckless and clumsy and was half hopping that she hadn't noticed that he was actually showing off a little bit.

((This post is stupidly short >.< I apologize. But they'll get better once I'm more awake...>.< ))

Arielle Shore

"Don't worry, I won't," Arielle said reassuringly, knowing for a fact that even if she did that, she would most likely would've messed up and fallen in the water. She felt calmer with Kedrick's gentle hand squeeze and nodded in understanding when Dimitri let her know that they were letting her crossover then.

"Well that's certainly a way to not make her panic," Maria teased when Dimitri had told Arielle not to slip. She made herself ready just in case Arielle needed help as the boys helped her over from one canoe to the other. When her friend had one foot safely in the boat, she helped her all the way in and smiled when everything was alright. "Welcome to the S.S. Maria~," she said with a light giggle.

Arielle responded back with her own laugh and nodded to Kedrick's question. The crossover wasn't that bad, and there was barely any movement of the boats that could be seen as risky. She looked back at Kedrick and nodded, knowing that he was extremely worried for her. "I'm fine, thanks for asking, Kedrick," she replied with a pleasant smile.

The two girls sat down and Maria felt eyes on her. Looking over, she saw Dimitri looking at her and wondered what in the world was going on in his mind. Despite the fact that his way of crossing canoes could've resulted horribly had he been unlucky, she was glad that he was alright. She made a face at him, before giggling. "So, are we rowing from here back to where we started for the next race or are we going to find another marker to count as our finish line?" she asked, curious as to how the next round would be done.
