[[Yey flashbacks. x3 Poor Shin. ;w;
Haro flinched as weight was pressed against his forehead, near his temple. Wei was leaning his own head close towards the boy's ear, "Do you understand me?" The boy who was not much older than thirteen nodded his head slowly, biting his lower lip in an attempt to stop his tears. "Do...you...understand...me?" With each slowly uttered hiss sharp claw-like nails dug just a bit deeper into bare sides aiming to scar what had once been considered beautiful....stunning even.

Haro stared up at the white ceiling, tears streaking down the side of his face as claws slid easily through pale skin. "I-..." It hurt. It hurt but...but other things had hurt worse. He could get through this. He could... "I...do."

Jade eyes narrowed slightly as the snake let go of the thin boy, a twisted smile flickering upon his face at the satisfying squelch as he did so. "Good," he murmured against damp locks, lips brushing ever so softly over salty cheeks.

"Don't you think for one moment that you'll ever be anything but mine."

((Yey.<3 But... Shin is such a normal child despite his overly kind/understanding nature and his hemophelia. D; It's hard to come up with traumatising stuff for him. ;A; ))

--It was middle school now. He kept away from others for the most part, as his mother had asked. It was, after all, for his own safety. But he felt so empty as an observer. So... alone. It was fine to be a people watcher, but this? He sat alone on a bench in the courtyard at school, watching as other kids passed him - always happy and laughing. He had always envied them for that, but that envy only made him feel worse because he was blaming others for something that was only his own, he was comparing himself. It wasn't fair to either side and it made him feel bitter inside.--

[[It's hard for me to write about Haro's past...because it makes me sad. D:]]

Haro woke up violently, hands clutching his sides where a few years back Wei had... had- Sitting up, the boy held a hand to the side of his head, fingers digging through bright hair. He had not wanted to...dream about that. It wasn't a fond memory, one of the worst he had actually. Turning his head towards the window, the boy frowned slightly. It wasn't exactly morning yet. It was light out, but just barely, the pale light looking almost frosty blue against the fall-like scenery outdoors. It was pretty.

Sliding his way off the bed, Haro looked out the window, one hand pressed gently against the glass, rather cold, pane. The sudden chill brought to his hand caused a spam of shivers to run down the length of the boy's lean body. It was getting colder everyday... Haro figured he should put something of substance on before his shivering got any worse. Rubbing at bare arms, the bird hopped around the room looking for something to wear. He pulled on a shirt and undergarments first before choosing a comfortable sweatshirt and jeans. The boy also pulled on a pair of socks for good measure before one hand drifted towards his shoulder. He really needed to get a bandage of some sort over it. Although his shoulder was effectively numbed and the poison, more or less, nullified, he was still at risk for an infection if he kept the wound open.

He'd do that later, right now there was a rather beautiful sunrise to witness.

Shin twitched lightly as sun reached him through the window, that small jerk waking him although not completely. He opened his eyes slowly, for they were glued shut with sleep grit ((for ukes it's "fairy dust" or "sleepy winkers" xD )), but he didn't get up until several minutes later. He then sat up, finally, and stretched, his back arching and his mouth open wide in a yawn. He rubbed the gunk from his eyes and got up. It was colder again today, but he liked the cold. He had felt but not registered the stiffness of his hand as he moved and as he looked down at his bandaged apendage, memories flooded back from the previous day. He would have to tie a new bandage on it... keep it clean. He stood up and got dressed for the new day, running long, pale fingers through his unkempt hair. He yawned again, went into the bathroom to get a glass - plastic cup, rather - of water and then went in to check on Haro to find him already awake. He smiled and murmured, his voice slightly croaky from sleep, "'Morning."

[[That was like the best mental picture ever, I applaud your skills. -such a Shin fangirl- >w> <3 Fufu~!]]

The boy wasn't exactly familiar with hearing any morning greetings, but for some reason the broken silence hadn't startled him. Just barely turning his head, sun soaked hair falling to the side, as if letting the tiger known he had been heard (or quite possibly the boy was merely wanting to gaze just a little longer at the sunrise), either way is took a moment or so before he turned around completely.

He opened his mouth to return the sleepy salutation, but couldn't quite form the words in his head. Maybe his mouth was broken. "Ahh-" Oh good, it wasn't. He just couldn't-...get out what he wanted. Obviously frustrated with himself, Haro sighed as he took the few steps towards the doorway. Golden eyes that looked something similar to the morning sky focused in on rumpled bandages as Haro leaned forward to examine the poor tiger's hands himself. "You're okay?" He asked, eyes meeting a chilly blue for just a moment before dipping back down towards rust flecked white.

((I'll just have to draw more of him, then, won't I? >D Mwahaha... /lame excuse for drawing Shin instead of doing homework))

Shin nodded and flexed his fingers before murmuring, "Yes... I'm fine. It doesn't even hurt... I just have to retie the bandages on my hands... and my feet." He seemed to finally have remembered that they, too, were bandaged as he looked down at the other, cautching the faintest glimpse of white bandage. "But, more importantly, how is your shoulder?" he asked, his tone concerned. He hoped Haro hadn't been in any pain - that would be terrible for the boy and Shin would feel so very bad about it because it had been his fault for not being able to protect the other. He would have to do better from now on...

[[Woot! >3]]

Haro's eyes widened slightly at the movement, almost protesting- Shin shouldn't...shouldn't be- He shook his head, he supposed he really couldn't tell the other what he could or could not do...

Haro looked up with a more than frustrated frown. More importantly? Was Shin kidding him? The thought, although insignificant compared to the tiger's injuries, brought upon an almost reflexive touch to his shoulder. "It's okay," he murmured, pressing gentle fingertips against his sweatshirt, testing the numbing factor.

"I'm sorry...-" He had...shrunk back from Shin the night before, he had not even wanted to get near him. He had almost thought that one more touch would break the already fragile balance within the tiger. Golden eyes dropping, the boy continued in a soft voice, "...for causing you trouble," he mumbled, letting his hand fall back to his side.

Shin looked crestfallen - he didn't want Haro to feel bad for... well, anything. "No, no, Haro..." He placed an unbandaged finger under the other's chin and gently angled it up so he could look into the other's bright eyes. "I... you don't need to be sorry... Whatever happens... no matter what... it's... it's better than being alone," he said, not sure if the other would understand. But he needed Haro to understand... to... His gaze was filled with that need, that hope. He didn't want to have to worry, to have to think... he just wanted to be with others, not just near them.

A mix of emotions flickered across the boy's features. Haro had never realized how alone someone like Shin could be. He wasn't like Haro...he was more human than anyone he'd known and yet even though he had been so close to others all his life...it had been just that...merely close. He'd never been with anyone- but of course Haro did not realize that this was the existance, more or less, Shin had led up until their meeting.

Haro had never had much contact with humans, and...he wasn't sure if he was grateful for that or otherwise. He hadn't liked being caged up, but the alone part wasn't so bad. If it meant he was safe from Wei for a little while then...he wouldn't mind the solitude.

"I don't-...want you to get hurt again," he murmured in response, taking Shin's bandaged hand into his own with a regretful sort of expression, placing invisble circles and stars on his palm with a gentle fingertip. "If Wei...t-tries to...take me... please, don't stop him," he mumbled before adding with a faint smile, "Besides, you'll still have Nish."

Shin shook his head. "It... it doesn't matter, can't you see? I just... I don't want to be alone... to be without you," he murmured, eyes full of the sad regret he had had all his life. "I... I'm happy when I talk with you and... well, I've never been able to be close to anyone, really..." He looked away, to the side, and slowly laced his finger's through Haro's. He didn't want to other to leave, to go. To feel that loneliness again would be much worse than losing more blood.

Haro smiled brightly, eyes scrunching up just slightly. "You think I wouldn't try to escape?" The longest it would take would be a few weeks...Wei wasn't one for remembering to clip his wings. "I just-" Blinking a few times after he found his hand pressed against smooth gauze, the boy looked down at his own lean frame. Taking the tiger's free hand, Haro gently held it against his own waist, almost wincing as he covered his hand over the other's.

It was... it was-

It was almost comforting to feel something so gentle agaist that area. Wei had obviously not been very careful around his hips and waist.

"I just-" He wanted Shin happy but... "I don't ever want to..." Looking up, the boy mustered up a faint grin, lips twitching softly, "t-to be his." Haro hoped Shin knew exactly who he was talking about.

Shin nodded and leaned forward slightly to press his lips gently against the other's forehead. "I... well, if you did... I would be very unhappy," he said with a small smile. He had known that Haro was afraid of Wei, but there still might have been something behind that nearly animalistic fear. He was releived that Haro didn't want to be with Wei... that he would run away if it came to it. In his own way, Shin was very possessive of the first person who had broken the barrier between himself and others.

((He's just sooo attatched, it's sweet. ))

Haro smiled softly at the gentle pressure against his forehead, fingertips habitually brushing his bangs back into place. Before Shin could straighten himself back up, the boy brought one hand to the tease the dark strands of hair that fell against the back of the other's neck. Pressing a much harder than intended kiss to the older teen's lips, Haro winced slightly, he supposed in his eagerness he could be a little rougher than he liked. Easing back from the tiger painfully slow, the boy quickly made sure he hadn't hurt Shin before whispering against his neck,

"I...want to be your's...if that's okay."

(( ;w; Haro is sooooo cute. *gets idea for picture* >3 This is too cute for me to let it slip! <3))

Shin was surprised and for a moment he did nothing. But he recovered quickly and, smiling very happily, wrapped his arms around the other's small figure and pulled him close. "That... that's more than okay... I... Haro, I..." he faltered slightly, as if searching for the right words and then continued, "I'm very happy," he murmured against the other's ear before quickly kissing his temple.

((He's searching for the words...))

[[-dedfromtehcute- X3 <3 I think my posts are getting even more sugary sweet by the moment. DD: Curse you song! TwT <33]]

The boy looked almost frightened for a moment, "Are...are you sure, I can- uhm, I don't have to be-" He continued his soft murmurings until three precious words were whispered to him. Swallowing thickly, the boy looked up with a smile, his nose unexpectedly bumping against the tiger's own- Haro hadn't realized the other had been so close. Rubbing a fingertip against the tip of Shin's nose with an apologetic grin, Haro murmured a soft "sorry," before fingers drifted to brush through hair where tiger ears should've been.
