If I've learned anything, it's that anything is possible. Especially when human and elven Magic is in the mix."

Tora was just wondering why Vidar even gave the stuff to him in the first place, if he knew something like this could happen. But of course he swore to be silent until their eventual escape from this place.

Vidar ran a hand through his hair, "If my father hadn't killed himself when he found out I'd had a child with a human woman, I'd ask him what I should do, but as it is... I don't know what to do. How unstable his magic could be without his control. And the reason his parents were on that highway in the first place was because at eight his magic was already so powerful, my son couldn't control it."

Violet looked down. While she herself had never really had a problem with control, Iris did. She knew what could happen when magic was completely out of control and the damage it could cause.
