Even when there's N-n-n-nothing worth living for You're still, you're still, still worth lying for N-no one has to know-ow, ow-ow, ow-ow And haven't you heard The word on the street is "I lost it, called it quits" Get into the sun Out from behind the gossip Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh .Cadence Saline Ivie Cadence had just been eating and thinking of ways to terrorize poor Mrs. Walters, her algebra three teacher. Some students had set fire to her hair before, and she wished she had been there to see it. Her attention was called away as a familiar voice called out in greeting. She turned to look at the source and smiled at Archimedes. She couldn't exactly reply as he dropped theatrically to the bench beside her, due to the fact she had food in her mouth. She finished chewing up the biscuit and chicken mush and swallowed it. "Eh, just thinkin about how to drive my math teacher even more insane than she already is..." She said with a half joking laugh. She was almost finished with her biscuit, for she tended to eat faster when she was hungry, and she was starving that morning. "What about you? Rigging up any more coffee machines?" She asked curiously. What he did with the one in the cafeteria was quite amazing, she had to admit, even though she didn't favor the drink herself. Cadence knew it might be a moment or so before she got an answer, for he had literally just shoved half of a chicken biscuit in his mouth. They were good, and she now knew how much his powers burned through his energy, making it necessary for him to eat so much. Before long, Cory had found them, and had asked them if they could finish eating soon. She stuck out her tounge at him and put the last bite of her biscuit in her mouth. She wasn't as worried about being late as she had been before. The first few minutes of first period were usually announcements anyways, not like they would miss much. She swallowed her last bite and looked at Cory again. "Happy now...?" She asked with a smile, it didn't bother her that he was in a bit of a hurry. It was just that life was so much better now that she stopped trying to please everyone. She chugged the rest of her orange juice and tossed the bottle into a nearby garbage can. "So, you guys have any idea of what we could do after school today?" ...

“Chipmunk cheeks,” Archimedes teased, pointing to her face full of food as he waited for her reply. Though he wasn’t much better, seeing as he had a whole half a biscuit in his mouth. He swallowed it and took another hefty bite of his tasty, tasty prize, and there it went, ladies and gentleman! One chicken biscuit down! Two to go. In between biscuits, he quaffed some of coffee. It burned his lips and down his throat, but it burned sooo good. Masochistic? Perhaps. Delicious? Definitely. Next he tore into the little box of hash browns and got the entire contents of it in his mouth at once. There were like, ten little rounds of fried potatoes. It wasn’t that much. And he didn’t have much time to eat since he’d slept through the first half. Luckily he was a fast eater. Usually this resulted in a sore stomach after, but after a few minutes of screwing with computers, his stomachache subsided.
“Ahhh, Missus Unibrow,” he replied contemplatively, nodding. He scarfed another box of hash browns in about five seconds. Screwing with people. This he could help with. “One thing that worked really well, back in the day—“ he paused to shove a mouthful of breakfast burrito in his mouth, “—is that,” he continued, now talking with his mouth full, mouth aimed away from Cadence in case something unsightly happened, “all my friends and me switched seats and names for the class. She hadn’t known us long enough to remember our names, and it drove that teacher to tears. It was awesome.” Finally, he swallowed. Good burritos, too. And he managed not to spray Cadence in the face with half-chewed food. Double score. That hadn’t gone over well the first time he did it. Or the second.
“As for myself,” he started, in reply to her questions, using a slight British accent just for funsies, “I’m done rigging coffee machines. For now, at least. Did you know those Genius Legends have their own coffee machine in that lounge?” he asked with a dubious look, taking another bite of burrito. “And they fought us having one. You know, because we’re too stupid to drink coffee. We’re not ‘Genius’ after all. Take that, society.” Being bitter with a friend was more consoling that being bitter by yourself.
“Here comes the bride, all dressed in white,” Archimedes said in sing-song as Cory joined them. He’d wondered where this dude had been. He looked a little… something behind his eyes, though. Archimedes wasn’t some kind of girly mind reader or anything, but he always seemed to have this sheen over himself that stopped him from really enjoying himself or letting go. He was sure it was because of that Asian slut he’d been with before. No, Cory hadn’t told him, but it honestly, there wasn’t a single person who didn’t know about their former relationship, and Archimedes had heard his share of gossip, since he was good at playing ninja and all. Sometimes he wanted to tell Cory to get a grip and get over it. It was just some girl. He remembered Mitsukai, of course. He’d talked with her once, and then he’d embarrassed her and she’d run off or something. He’d felt kind of bad about that, but oh well. Thick skin and all that.
“Oh yeah,” he replied to Cory, “Here, let me just see how much I can unhinge my jaw. Maybe I can fit everything in there at once.” Archimedes proceeded to open his mouth as wide as he could, making a comical ‘aaaahhhh’ sound. He smirked and closed his mouth to normal size, eating the last of his first burrito. He took a drink of coffee to wash that down with, starting to feel his hunger not be so painful. But he still had plenty left, so there was no chance of him starving during his first, ahh… two classes. He kept snacks in his bag, and for good reason. Not much, just a bag of chips and some cereal bars, but it kept the energy levels up. He was occasionally jealous of Cadence and Cory’s abilities, that they could use them without having to worry about fainting from malnutrition, but then he’d electrocute something and that would make him feel better.
“Who cares, man? My first class is English two. I think we’re reading some Shakespeare somethin-somethin. Just put a bunch of ‘art thou’s and ‘whereupon’s in there and I’ll pass.” Half of his second chicken biscuit disappeared into the cavern of his mouth, washed down with more nectar of the gods — or, coffee. “Besides, the teachers won’t do anything. Maybe to some goody two-shoes like Meredith, but they won’t bother us. I think they’re scared of us for the most part.” This made him laugh. “So, cop a squat and stay awhile.” He slapped the seat on the bench next to himself and finished his second chicken biscuit.
In an ideal world yes, he could finish his lunch in fifteen minutes. But in reality, he didn’t want to. He wanted to eat and then chill for a while. He might show up to his first class, or he might not. It didn’t really matter. The only thing that mattered about this school was the power class. Learning to control yourself and all that. His honors computers class was for funsies, the only class he made sure he showed up to. It was so easy for him. The teacher would give daunting assignments that he could finish in fifteen minutes by just syncopating his mind with the machine and asking it politely to do what he wished. Seeing as computers had processors and not brains, it always obeyed him and gave him an A grade. Respect the computer and it shall respect you; that was Archimedes’s philosophy.
Huh. After school. Well, there were always the safe things, such as video games and IMing each other until wee hours of the morning, or they could do something more fun. He could always tap into the ticket master machine at the movie theater so it gave them free tickets, and they could have a private movie theater, courtesy to changing the electric locks and the doors not opening for anyone but them. Then there was always the option of sabotage, break into some classroom after hours and mess it up somehow. Archimedes had always wanted to fry the principal’s car; all cars had an internal computer, and it would be easy to kill it. Just to piss her off. But this was all speculation. With Cadence’s ability to go invisi-girl, she was very efficient with sabotage.
“Dunno,” he replied, laughing internally at the fact that it was a complete lie. He had a lot of ideas, but didn’t want to impose or anything. “WoW, movies, joy ride, sabotage… the possibilities are endless.” Those were complete understatements to his real ideas and thoughts, but it got the general message across, he thought. Archimedes finished his last biscuit and most of his coffee. Hm. That wouldn’t do; he’d need to go get more soon, or be doomed to eat the last half of his breakfast without sufficient hydration.

Even when there's N-n-n-nothing worth living for You're still, you're still, still worth lying for N-no one has to know-ow, ow-ow, ow-ow And haven't you heard The word on the street is "I lost it, called it quits" Get into the sun Out from behind the gossip Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh .Cadence Saline Ivie Cadence furrowed her brows playfully when he called her chipmunk cheeks. She was hungry! He of all people should understand that. Besides, he had no room to talk either, half a chicken biscuit in his mouth, it was a wonder he didn’t choke. She noticed he washed his food down with coffee. She didn’t see how he could do that. Sure, coffee smelled good to her, but when she had tried it before, she almost gagged. It was too bitter to her tastes. “I don’t see how you can drink that stuff….eh, but to each their own, I suppose…” She didn’t need caffeine to hype her up, it didn’t work, nor did sugar. It sucked for anyone who got her ticked off in the morning. Ah, Mrs. Walters. That wouldn’t work for her, but she did laugh lightly at the suggestion and story. Walters already knew her students. Hmm, what else? “I was thinking of doing something with my powers…not a lot of people know I can make things invisible.” She commented idly, seeing as she was done eating. It was amazing how that woman hadn’t left yet. She remembered once when she was reading in class. Walters came up and asked her to put her book away. Cadence was half tempted to glare at the woman, but closed her book slowly and started to set it down when the dim witted woman asked her to put it away again. Did she not see what she was doing? That peeved her even more, but that was the old Cadence, the one that did as she was asked and kept quiet. Back to the coffee again. It made sense that the school pampered the Genius Legends. Pampering them too much could make them too soft. Who wanted to be known as a Legend anyways. When you were a legend, everyone knew you could kick a**, and therefore didn’t mess with you usually. It was a road block in her opinion. “Hey, Archimedes, if you could make me a cup of coffee that wasn’t bitter, and tasted wonderfully, I might actually start drinking some…” She stated with a smile. Being uneducated in the ways of coffee, she didn’t know what other kinds were out there. Sure, she’d heard of Starbucks, but had only tried their non-coffee drinks. “And who cares if we are Genius Legends or not? It’s overrated anyways. People who are known for their powers and skills are always kept an eye on….” She trailed off, reaching in her bag and in a side pocket to grab a piece of caramel. Sweet delicious caramel. It was her favorite candy. She unwrapped it, looking back at Cory. “Well, you’re awfully quiet…” She pointed out before putting the candy square in her mouth. “What’s on your mind?” She asked, wondering if he would share. While she waited for a response, she too thought about things they could do. At the mention of sabotage, she smiled a little, reminded of a song, and she was tempted to sing it, but wasn’t up to it at the moment. “Sabotage sounds good…maybe we can rig something up in Mrs. Walters classroom….” She suggested. Heaven knew a lot of people wanted to see that happen, have that woman humiliated and driven out of the school. Maybe the three of them could make that possible...

“Here, let me just see how much I can unhinge my jaw. Maybe I can fit everything in there at once.” Cory laughed as Archimedes opened his mouth very wide. He probably could stuff everything in his mouth at once, well maybe. That boy had a lot of food. Cory watched as Archimedes ranted on about his first period. Shakespeare did suck, he was just so apathetic and the old language was just frustrating. Although, Cory only read one of his books, Romeo and Juliette. That book was horrible. Therefore, Archimedes had a valid reason to not go to class. Cory had Anatomy. It was his favorite class, well when Thorne wasn’t around, because it taught body parts. That always made switching easier for Cory. That and animal behavior, all his other classes sucked.
“Besides, the teachers won’t do anything. Maybe to some goody two-shoes like Meredith, but they won’t bother us.” Cory rolled his eyes about Meredith being a goodie two shoes. Everyone knew that none of the legends weren’t perfect little angels, in fact, the teachers were probably more scared of them then regular students. Unlike regular students, they could control their powers almost perfectly. The label was so overrated though. “I think they’re scared of us for the most part.” The teacher did seem to be scared of the crew. They always had been doing some sort of prank lately, and the teachers did not want to be next. So obviously, it was not like Cory was scared of the teachers and such. On a normal day, he would love to stomp into class late and growl at a teacher with a lion’s growl to shut her up. It was funny to see the teacher cower. Today, he wanted to be kept off the radar. He just wanted to see if Thorne was back. If Thorne were, things would suck. How would Cory deal with that? He would never get Mitsukai back with that possessive creep around. “So, cop a squat and stay awhile.” Cory sighed and sat down next to Archimedes. Today was just going to be one of those days obviously. Not that he could tell them what was wrong, that would just make matters worse. Maybe... They could always help him deal with Thorne.
Cory laughed as Cadence ranted on about coffee. “You’ve only had black coffee I’m guessing. I’ll make you the perfect, non bitter, coffee. Kay darling” Cory offered. He’d have to do some experimenting. He was sure that he could make a perfect drink, just go to starbucks and get a mocha.
“And who cares if we are Genius Legends or not? It’s overrated anyways. People who are known for their powers and skills are always kept an eye on….” Cory nodded in agreement with that. At his old school in London, they didn’t have Genius Legends. But that was because you had to be near Legend level to even go to that school. Cory could probably kick Meredith’s a** in a battle. However, Cory didn’t want to be known for his cool skills and have everyone up his behind, wanting to fight him. The kids in London always made fun of the stupid American’s and their Legends. “You know, in London, they made fun of this school because of their legends. There, majority of the students were Genius Legend level.” Cory summed up his thoughts aloud. That was one of the reasons Meredith glared at Cory every time they saw each other. He was sure he saw her there over the summer, right before he got expelled.
Cory’s mind was now in a happier place now. He was not even focusing on Thorne, instead his yummy almost finished eggs. He took another big bite just when Cadence opened her mouth. “You’re awfully quiet, what’s wrong?” Cory looked over at her and mumbled "nothing", even though his mouth was full of food. He then swallowed. “It’s just, I heard Thorne was back.” Cory mumbled. His mind now fully directed to his problem. “You know what, maybe we could deal with him, let him know he’s not welcome?” Cory offered, no longer wanting to do anything else. If he taught Thorne a lesson, he just might leave. Then he’d have Mitsukai all to himself. Not to mention, Lorrie was so much happier while Thorne was gone.
Cory listened to their other prank ideas, they all sounded deliciously fun. However, nothing would be more fun than getting back at Thorne. That kept him a tad more hopeful. Life was so much easier when you had friends.

Kyuubi woke up suddenly. He shook his head. He had no idea how long he was asleep. He walked out and went to his dorm. He was stiff from sleeping on the ground outside. He stretched. When he passed the cafeteria, some kids were still eating. He might have been asleep for about 10 minutes maybe. He yawned. He didn't want to think about Thorne all he cared about was if Mitsukai was okay. The way she stormed out of the cafeteria he could think she might kill him. He knew she wouldn't, but he could think of some people who might think about it.

“Angel! I’m so sorry, so sorry. Angel, please open the door. I can’t do this. I can’t not…” There was no one better than him. It may have been a pity that she was so infatuated with a boy she hardly spent time with. However, she knew every single thing about him. She knew every thought, desire, and action that had ever occurred in his life. The only one who was pitiful was him. He was out there, at her door pleading for her to open up. It must have been guilt. Mitsukai was in her room on her bed crying over him. It wasn’t what she wanted to do. She wanted to go out there and wrap her arms around him. However, she couldn’t allow herself to do that. She had to stay away from him. He had left her. He was only there because he felt guilty for leaving her. He never loved her and he never could. It was only guilt that had kept him there. He wanted to make things right, when they were horribly wrong.
“Angel, please, I’m sorry, please open the door. I’ll tell you everything. You’re the only one that understands. The only one that…” The absolute pain in his voice made her flinch. Here she was crying for him when he was outside her door. How could she be some dumb? Yet, she knew she couldn’t let him in. Even as his voice trailed off as if he was going to give up, she couldn’t allow herself to chase after him like a lost puppy. She was not that pathetic.
Mitsukai listened as her door opened up. She could feel the rush of cold air and hear the harsh sound of a door slamming. There was only one person who knew the combination to Mitsukai’s room, and that was Joseph. Therefore, Mitsukai wasn’t surprised when he marched in her room declaring his hatred for Thorne. It wasn’t much of a surprise. He had every reason in the world to hate that kid. At least Joseph was there. No one else was pleading for her to let them in. Instead, Joseph was marching into her world and taking over, as he always did. Mitsukai really couldn’t live without Joseph.
Mitsukai listened as he announced Thorne marching in the room any minute and that she should let go of his jacket. Mitsukai dropped the jacket, laughing at how Joseph seemed to know everything she needed to know. She really could not live with out that boy. She then focused on stopping the water works. It was the best way to look dignified. Although, she had lost all of that in the cafeteria. Screaming at him was a dumb decision. “If you hop in the shower he won’t be able to see you cry.” Mitsukai could not believe she did not think of that in the first place. It was an exceptional idea. Mitsukai quickly got up and walked into her bathroom. She started the water and hopped in.
Mitsukai took her time in the shower. Although, the only thing her shower time consisted of was her crying. The whole time she sat down on the floor of the shower and bawled her eyes out. They were heart wrenching tears. She thought over every nightmare and every memory she had of him. She cried until there were no tears left to spill. When she was done crying, she felt raw and incomplete. Finally, she washed her face, removing all of the proof of her tears. Then she turned off the shower and dried off.
Mitsukai looked at the clothing Joseph had picked out for her. She could of course throw on the clothing she had worn earlier. However, that would probably piss Joseph off. His goal for her was to look good. Therefore, Mitsukai was going to look good. At first, she just admired the clothes. The bra he picked out was sexy and a push up, something she had totally given up on recently. The clothing were also flattering. Navy blue always was a flattering color on her skin and skinny jeans looked good too. Mitsukai threw it on and brushed her curls. Of course, they were incredibly frizzy so she ran some leave in conditioner through her locks. She finished up by brushing her teeth and spraying some villa perfume all over. When she was done she took a moment ton admire herself. Her clothing was a tad loose, due to the recent weight she had lost. Yet, even with all of that, she looked good. She still was not as fierce as the last time Thorne had seen her. Nevertheless, she looked better than she had in the past weeks. Mitsukai sighed and opened the door, prepared to walk to the most brilliant person in the world.
Although, in actuality what she saw was horrifying. Thorne was not sitting on her bed. He was not at her door. He was not anywhere. Could she have honestly imagined everything? Was she just waking up from a dream? Where could he be? Mitsukai walked to her bed and forced herself not to cry. Of course, he’d leave again. He did not care about her. He never had and he never would.
‘Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray my heart you choose to keep….’ Mitsukai’s ringtone blasted the lyrics from the song Light my Way by He is We. She peered over at the phone and answered it. “Hello.” Mitsukai stuttered. Her voice was slightly shaky, though that couldn’t be helped. She was a wreak.
“Mitsukai, you need to come home now. Your sister is in the hospital.” Mitsukai’s breath caught. There was no way that could be true. Mitsukai listened as her mom rushed through the details of her sister’s pancreatic cancer. Supposedly, they found it in late stage four and Hana decided she didn’t want chemo. They even knew during parent’s day, but didn’t want to tell her because she already looked so upset. She the listened as her mother explained the amount of money she put in Mitsukai’s account for a ticket and such. Then her mother told her about the first flight to Georgia and details about that. The whole time Mitsukai packed.
Once Mitsukai got off the phone with her mother she texted Joseph. ‘My sister is in the hospital. I’m leaving for Georgia. Please, if you see Thorne tell him I love him.' Mitsukai texted and grabbed her bags and walked out of her room, locking the door behind her. In a matter of moments, she was in her car driving well past the speed limit. Soon she’d be home and finding out why they didn’t tell her. This was not supposed to be happening; Mitsukai was not ready for this.

“This stuff?” Archimedes asked, mocking aghast. He held up his coffee cup and used his other hand to present it, like it was a beacon of hope. “You mean, the nectar of the gods? How dare you refer it to something as plebian as ‘this stuff’. The coffee gods will come forth and smite thee.” He punctuated his point with a sip of the good stuff. He wasn’t really offended, of course. But he loved this stuff like mad.
When Cadence mentioned making something invisible, Archimedes’s teenage mind automatically went to the gutter. Clothes. Making clothes invisible. Yes. That would be such sweet humiliation on someone, he thought with an evil chuckle as he scarfed another burrito. Wait. So long as she didn’t to that do him. The world was not going to appreciate a full-frontal view of his less than appetizing body. Would you like extra freckles and protruding hipbones with your pale, weasley geek al a mode? No. He didn’t think so. What else could be made invisible that would be funny for them and terrible for someone else? Make their homework disappear? Their car? Their… yeah, now he was out of ideas. Making someone naked seemed like the funniest thing to him, but hey. He was a boy, and stupid things amused him to some extent, though he wouldn’t like to admit it.
What if she made Adam’s clothes disappear? Hmm… oh, damnit! There he went again with the weird thoughts. He turned bright red and quickly stopped thinking about it, except that he kind of still was and if he didn’t, he was going to start having a problem. Ooh! Coffee talk! Distraction! “Not bitter, wonderfully tasting… um… well, I guess if you froze it, mixed it with chocolate syrup and whip cream, then that would be not bitter and wonderfully tasting. Though it loses lots of its original coffee benefits… Spazzoid sugar-slash-caffeine rush? Thanks, no.” When Cory made his offer, Archimedes arched an eyebrow at him before stuffing the remainder of his food in his mouth. Speaking with his mouth full of food, he asked, “And how do you plan on that, oh wise one?” It sounded kind of like “Anf hoh du yu pflan ah dathf, oh wisfh won?” but he guessed the point got across.
This was one reason he got a long with Cadence and Cory. The weren’t all like ‘oh, we must become Genius Legends beekuz then tha whooole skool will want to be liek us n’ stuff liek omgomgomg.’ The were cool about it. It wasn’t some big, faggy deal. Whoopdy do. Genius Legend. It was just another label. It wasn’t like those who weren’t Legends weren’t also excellent super-powered students. They were just the only ones recognized for it. He personally preferred to fly under the radar and play it cool. Then, when no one was looking, BAM. He’d shine and put everyone else to shame. But then he’d return back to his cave to further develop his powers, but that was another story. Ever the hermit.
Wow. Cory was being pretty quiet. Archimedes wondered how he hadn’t noticed before. Well, it was morning. And he was eating. And he was contemplating things, which always succeeded in distracting him. Okay, so he did know why he hadn’t noticed and was just lying to himself. Whatever. He leaned back and finished off the last of his coffee, looking to Cory for his reply. Thorne? Archimedes heard of him, but hadn’t ever interacted with the dude. He seemed kind of… disturbed, by what he’d heard. Sort of a wack job. Whatever. Apparently Cory had some beef with this guy, which meant it probably had something to do with the girl. Sigh. It was better to be feared than loved, Archimedes had always thought, ever since the accident. Well, he called it an accident, even though it was more like a ‘completely intentional’. Sure, love brought some level of comfort and companionship, but it wasn’t necessary in life. He’d done well without any higher level of romance in his life thus far, so he supposed he’d survive the rest of his life without it, too. Depending on how long it lasted.
Sabotage! On the Thorne guy! Archimedes was all for it, personally. He didn’t have strong feelings toward the boy one way or another, so it didn’t really bother him if the guy got hurt or pissed off or, dare he think it, sobby. Actually, Archimedes found he had a hard time caring about someone else’s well-being except for himself and the people in his group/tribe/clique: Cadence and Cory. That about covered it. Before it would have included his family, but obviously that wasn’t so much a problem anymore, since they kind of didn’t know he existed. But whatever. He’d survived these years without one; what was the rest of his life? Honestly?
“We can do both?” Archimedes offered, shrugging. Sabotaging the walrus’s classroom and Thorne sounded like a fun time to him. “So long as we’re sufficiently ninja about it, that is,” he tacked on with a sage nod. “But uh… what’s Thorne’s power? It might be a bit of a problem if his power is like, mind reading or something, and he can hear our thinking as we hatch our nefarious plans.”
Then he felt dumb. He rolled his eyes at himself and pulled his laptop out of his messenger bag, opening the lid and accessing the school admin account. Again. Okay, student directory, blah blah blah, search… Thorne. His profile popped up on the screen, showing a little photo of him and all his records. Full name, age, height, religion, blahdy blah blah… ah ha! Power! ‘Body regeneration.’ Okay. That was wholly unhelpful. What the bloody hell did that mean? Body regeneration? Like, healing himself or something? Why did these records have to be so damn vague? With an impatient ‘hmph’, Archimedes showed his laptop to the other two in his group. “Okay. What the hell do you suppose this means?” he asked, throwing it out for speculation. “…Well, at least it’s not mind reading.”
Maybe this would be harder than he thought.

Even when there's N-n-n-nothing worth living for You're still, you're still, still worth lying for N-no one has to know-ow, ow-ow, ow-ow And haven't you heard The word on the street is "I lost it, called it quits" Get into the sun Out from behind the gossip Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh .Cadence Saline Ivie Cadence refrained from laughing when Archimedes responded about coffee. Yeah, he loved the drink...a lot. Personally, she couldn't see the appeal. Its like having tofu and a juicy steak set in front of you, the coffee was actually the tofu, and the steak was just about any other drink. She wasn't sure that even if it was loaded down with sweet creamer and whipped cream and all the other stuff mentioned that she would even like it then. "Eh...I'll try it...but, there is no guarantee that I would like coffee even then. Oh, and caffeine doesn't really effect me, so I'm not too worried about losing those benifits. Oh, and I haven't only had black coffee....Maybe I'm just immune to the awesomeness that is coffee..." She said teasingly with a smile. Her caramel was now gone, sadly, but, oh well. Her mind was thinking again. She ran a hand through her hair, pulling it away from her face. Maybe she should get a haircut, you know, to go along with the new image. Her hair was nearly waist length, and could be troublesome. Eh, maybe she'd just dye it, or add some colors to it. She didn't think she could get it cut short, if at all. She had donated ten inches to locks of love before, and that left her hair barely below her ears, and she had looked horrible. She regretted doing it. The shock of the shortness of it was also a reason why she had let it grow out for five years with a trim every so often. It was something she was proud of, in a weird girly kind of way.
Oh, right, the sabotage. Messing with both Thorne and Mrs. Walters...interesting. That was, if Thorne was even still there. Mitsukai had yelled at him earlier, she was sure of it. "Hmm...nice concept, that is, if the Thorne kid is still even here..." She said before hearing Archimedes ask about the guy's powers. She remembered at the beginning of the school year, seeing or hearing something about them. That was when it was announced that it was 'body regeneration'. That made her brain click. She knew what it was now. "You know how you get really upset, and explode? Well, that's what that guy does....literally, he explodes, then all the little pieces go back together like some kind of grotesque jigsaw puzzle..." She said, wrinkling up her nose. Kinda..eww. "And ninja...you want us to be ninja about the whole thing?" She asked idly, slowly disappearing as she spoke. A few moments later, she was invisible to them and she moved behind the both of them, hovering over their shoulders before putting an arm around each of their necks and reappearing suddenly. "You forget who you are talking to..." She said with a laugh before giving each of them a kiss on the cheek, in a mere friendly gesture. .

Kyuubi had left his room and was walking around now. He saw Mitsukai leaving and get into her car and drive away at a fast speed. He wondered what was wrong. He thought she must be going out to find a relaxing place. That would be good for her. He walked around some more in the halls. Wandering in and out of certain hallways. Seeing teachers talking about their lessons they were planning. Others were talking about the strange powers they were seeing in the students. He ended up walking towards the training room. He didn't want to train right now, he wanted to relax. He turned and walked away.
He noticed students walking to the cafeteria. Some people were waking up late apparently and were hoping to catch breakfast before all the good food was gone. He smiled. He had been here for a year and still wasn't used to running out of good food. He realized how spoiled he was. He laughed at himself. He couldn't call himself that, what he has gone through in his life recently, he could be spoiled. His life had been great until last year.
He shook his head. He didn't want to think about it now. He wanted to relax. He walked to the pool and sat in a chair. He took a deep breath. Classes would be back to normal soon, after the whole parents day thing. He knew his classes might get tough. Once he knew for sure what they were going to be learning in his classes he would be studying. He stretched in the chair. He began to mess with the water in the pool. He made it flow out if it in a snake form and let it fall back in. He made waves and made them get larger and calmer.

[/ Christopher “Kyle” Darren ♥] Calm down You may be full of fear But you'll be safe here When you finally trust me, finally believe in me I will let you down. Ah, Mondays. Kyle never did like them.
Then again, he couldn’t honestly say he liked most weekdays, either. He couldn’t get shitfaced the night before and be expected to walk into class with a big, I’m-ready-for-anything smile on his face the next day, oh no. He may have “magical powers”, but they sure as hell didn’t help with his hangovers.
“Why, God, why?” he murmured sarcastically to himself. This received a few sideways glances at him, but he was otherwise unnoticed. Being a Genius Legend wasn’t really all it was cracked up to be – sure, he kicked a couple of kid’s asses, then boom, he’s suddenly at the top of the food chain. But did anyone seem to care?
Not particularly.
Which was just as well, he figured. The occasional cat call he got in the hallway were all he needed to keep him going. He sighed, tossing his Styrofoam cup into the trash – this coffee machine that appeared out of the blue was pretty sweet, even if it didn’t have “GENIUS LEGENDS ONLY” plastered all over it -, shoved his hands into his lint-filled pockets and strode out. Second on his priority list: shower. He obviously didn’t smell too awful, as no one had run away or tried holding their breath until he went past.
Must be a good day.
With a new-found metaphorical spring in his step (because no one needn’t think of a Legend as a skipping pansy), Kyle made his way back to the dorms, showered, and actually made an effort to look presentable. Though still parading about in his boxers, he brushed his teeth furiously, scrubbing until his arms ached. The smell of Vodka wasn’t quite as strong as it usually was, but just to be safe he chewed on a stick of gum he found fishing through his jacket pockets. He blow dried his hair straight – ‘cause, s**t, it was cold outside and he didn’t much like the idea of going out there with wet hair in his face.
Brrr.
He threw on clothes that he knew were clean, grabbed his bag, opened the door and – shut it close again, flopping down on his bed. His classes didn’t start for another some odd hours. Right, completely slipped his mind.
He could possibly wander aimlessly around campus. Maybe catch Meredith at the Genius Lounge, if her schedule permitted. He still wasn’t too sure what everyone’s schedule was, and he wasn’t hellbent on finding out. If nobody was there, he was sure that one of the bajillion video games would keep his interest…

"To dream anything that you want to dream, that's the beauty of the human mind. To do anything that you want to do, that is the strength of the human will." ---------------------------- |Adam|Sire|Listing| Adam couldn't help but smile at her when she laughed. It was a small laugh, but it was a laugh. He couldn't remember if he ever heard her laugh before, but he liked it. It was real. And the blush that appeared on her cheeks made it even more better. He decided not to comment on her rosy cheeks though, he didn't want to embarrass her or get her mad at him. When she mentioned how she wanted to see a showing, a thought suddenly occurred to him. "Well if there is ever a showing on a day that we don't have classes, we can go together. I'll even teleport us there if it's too far." His eyes fell to the table top as he continued to speak. "I was going to go to an upcoming one, but it's the same day as the Dance .. Speaking of which, are you going?"----------------------------

A composer but never composed Singing the symphonies of the overdosed A composer but never composed 'Singing': "I only want what I can't have" "I only want what I can't have Daina Nova AndersonDaina brushed her hair behind an ear, and pulled it all over one shoulder. She messed with it unconsciously, kind of a nervous habit of hers. Was Adam about to ask her to the dance? Gah, she needed to pull herself together, she didn't want to freak out? Since when did her hormones bother her? Oh, right, everytime Adam was around. "I heard about that showing..and was considering going....but it all depends, I kinda wanted to go to the dance too..." She admitted honestly with a small smile. "I'm also pretty sure that there are going to be more upcoming showings since Halloween is just next month..." She had been considering a costume, possibly Repo! themed. A Gentern, or a red-headed Amber Sweet...After all, her appearance changes so much, she thought, laughing mentally. Oh, their first class was starting soon. Daina was glad she glanced down at the time on her ipod. Chemistry class, eh, it wasn't too bad, and she didn't have to worry about the fumes and such, since her body would take care of itself. "Ummm, hey, Adam...We gotta be in Chemistry class in , like, five minutes.." She trailed off, picking up her bag, turning off her ipod and sticking it in her pocket, and standing up off the table. She waited for him to join her, a soft smile on her face.

"To dream anything that you want to dream, that's the beauty of the human mind. To do anything that you want to do, that is the strength of the human will." ---------------------------- |Adam|Sire|Listing| Adam found his eyes trailing her fingers as she messed with her hair. It was adorable how she played with it. A lot of girls did that, but he never imagined a headstrong girl like Daina to do something that was considered a nervous habit .. No way she was nervous. If anything, he was nervous as he debated in his mind whether he should ask her to the dance or not. "I bet you're right, Halloween will be loaded with genetically-altered Zydrate addicts." He never made exact plans for Halloween, because he always ended up changing his costume. But he still thoguht up ideas from time to time. He thought about what she said about the dance, about how she kinda wanted to go. "Kinda? Why not totally?" He smiled his crooked grin at her. "I do hope it's not because you don't have a date." L used to not go to things if she didn't have dates. Adam always told her to just pick a friend and go, but more than often he was stuck with her. When she mentioned Chemistry class he quickly slid off the table. "Crap, I totally forgot about class." He lifted his messenger bag and slid it over his shoulder again as he stepped to her side. "I can't afford to skip out on that class again, I've missed it almost every day since this semester started." ----------------------------

Remember when I dove into the crowd And I got a bloody knee under my skin, a mark from wiping out It brings back the memories Every bone's been broken And my heart is still wide open
Daina Nova AndersonDaina smirked lightly, ignoring the butterflies in her stomach. "Not totally because I haven't decided yet...If I get a good enough reason to go, then I will..." She said simply, taking his hand as she started to walk to class. She wasn't too worried about that, she had held his hand before. "And, it's not really because I don't have a date...even though I don't...yet.." She added, walking rather quickly because time was running short. She managed to lead them through the throng of students rushing to class at the last minute, and the two of them slid into Chemistry seconds before the bell rang. Her table at the back was empty..Well, it wasn't really hers, just where she sat every time she was in chemistry. She couldn't really call it her's and Adam's desk because, like he said, he had hardly been in there. Good thing she was keeping him up to date in there.
I can’t stop Don’t care if I lose Baby you are the weapon I choose These wounds are self inflicted I’m going down *in flames* for you Baby you are the weapon I choose These wounds are self inflicted One more thing I’m addicted too

"To dream anything that you want to dream, that's the beauty of the human mind. To do anything that you want to do, that is the strength of the human will." ---------------------------- |Adam|Sire|Listing| Adam allowed her to pull his through the throng of students rushing to class. He barely even noticed she was holding his hand, he was more focused on keeping up with her. Amazingly the crowd cleared out pretty quickly. Sure, there was still some students left, most of which had no intentions of going to class, but over half of the noise was gone. It was eerily silent, even though it was still loud. He caught sight of a clock and was immediately reminded of why most of his classmates had filed into class. He was temped to teleport them to the door, but something made him want to keep walking with Daina. Just keep walking and talking. He looked down and remembered how he was keeping up with her so easily- they were holding hands. That was why he didn't want to teleport them. Finally they made it to Chemistry, and in record time. The bell rang when they were only a short distance into class. He grinned over to Daina. "Nice speed, that was perfect timing."
They settled in "their" table in the back. He guessed it was theirs now. As long as he kept making it to class it would be. IT was a really good thing Daina paid attention and filled him on on what he missed. Also a good thing it was the start of the semester, not too much work those first few days. He now took the time to respond to her earlier comments about the dance as he dropped his bag on the floor. "Yet?" He teased. "Do you have someone in mind Miss Anderson? .. Please tell me he's not prettier than me." ----------------------------
