She watched as he stood up and walked away, arm waving in the air. As soon as he exited the doors, she was alone again with nothing to do. "Why am I doing this to myself?" As she stood up, she ran out the doors after him, soon catching up, him not have really gotten far anyway. "Listen.. I know this may sound strange and all, but do you think I could hang around you for a few hours? Maybe let a few things die down before I venture off again?" She didn't want to sound needy or anything.. but nothing else seemed to be happening around the area and he seemed to be the only lively thing in around... which was a tad bit sad seeing to how he was worn out some from him battle.

Another bottle of wine, thats what Ultima needed. He had been in the bar for seven hours, and the smoke and dust was still getting at him. He sat in a corner or the bar, next to him sat a gnome drinking with him.
The Gnome's name was Shmel or somthing, Ultima couldnt remember. They had talked about alot of stuff since they exchanged names and it wasnt important anymore.
What was important was what they were talking about, which at the time was rock spells and that is why Ultima began talking again, directed at the gnome to describe his stone curse spell, then to eagarly hear the details of a large Quartz demon the gnome had cast into being once.

It wasn't soon that Rayne had been pushing the two doors open to the tavern and was frantically looking around. Letting out a deep sigh, she took a seat near the piano, no one playing at the time, her just looking at her pathetic reflection. "Maybe I just miss him too much or something..." The minutes passed on as she just thought to herself in solitude, tha tplace pretty empty like usual.

Cloud entered the tavern and gave the room a glance over.
She spotted Rayne near the piano and she headed over to her.
"Is this seat taken?"
Her eyes were gentle, and her voice was soft.

"No, not at all." She smiled at her, then turned back to looking at the piano. "What brings you here?" She stretched her arms out in front of her, the fell back in her chair.

Cloud shrugged.
"I had nowhere better to be." She smiled "I guess I got lucky though."
She lowered her gaze for a moment before looking back at Rayne.
"Are you okay? Something seems. . .off. In your eyes I mean."

"Well I thought someone was here, but I think I was wrong. I guess I'm just really missing him.." Looking over to Cloud, she asked, "So, how are you doing? It's been awhile."

She gave Rayne a soft smile.
"Would you like something to drink? My treat."

"Water would be nice... althought that comes at no cost." She smiled and stared to play with her fingers. "I'm sorry I haven't seen you all that much.. I've been caught up in a lot lately."

Cloud smiled and got her a water, for herself, a soda.
She placed the water in front of her.
"It's no problem, I understand how l ife can get kind of hectic."

"Yeah well life is just a pit chaotic at the time.." She glugged her water down, "So, how is going for you these days?" Her hand flashed in the air, her ordering another water for herself.

Cloud sipped her soda slowly.
"Oh, it's going well."
She forced a smile on her face, making it look pure.
"Y'know, boring as always."
She looked down at her glass and watched the bubbles float to the top, laughing to herself.
She let out a sigh and smiled back up at Rayne.

"I've always wondered what my father is doing... and Passe and Kinn... They seem to lead such dumb, hard, and sophisocated lives... Yet here I am sitting and enjoying talking to a friend.." Running her hand through her hair, she continued to look at her reflection. "I don't think that no matter how hard I look at myself, I'm always going to be me... no one else."

"So if you wonder what they're doing, why not get in touch with them, check in and all. I'm sure they'd love to hear from you, to make sure you're alright and all."
Cloud ordered another soda as she finished her first glass.
"I think we're never who we begin as, and never end how we were before. Our reflection ohnly shows the outside, but..the inside.." Cloud's voice lowered "...will always change, and not for the better all the time..."
She sipped her new glass.

"Well, I know my father could give a flying flip, and Passe... no thanks. Kinn is too tied up with keeping home in order to have the time of day to talk to me..." Looking at Clouds reflection, she smiled, "Some don't change... It's usually always a bad thing too. I have been this way for about three months now... And I'm just really hoping for change.. The good kind."
