Cassie smiled. "Thank you." she said as she climbed gratefully into her bed and fell asleep.

Kai pulled some red wine from his fridge and poured himself a glass. He drank it and sighed. "Life is good."

Cassie was running. the ocean was behind her, gathering in a big wave, ready to swallow her up. she tripped and turned to meet her demise. but then someone appeared infront of her. he snapped his fingers and the waves shrank- like Alice in Wonderland. then he turned to her with a smile and held out his hand to help her up. Cassie smiled in her sleep and whispered his name. "Kai..."

Kai didn't realize how much wine he had until he looked at his floor, it was strewn with what he guessed to be 56 bottles. "Why do I have so much of this crap?" he asked himself as he watched TV and drank his wine.

Cassie woke up. she stretched and then rubbed her eyes. then she got up and took a bath. after her bath she got dressed in a light blue sundress.

Kai got up off his sofa and got a quick shower. "I hate not being able to sleep." He said as he got out of the shower and put on his usual jeans, black tank-top and white coat.

Cassie swung her legs over the edge of her porch that hung over the cliff and swung them back and forth, enjoying the sea breeze and the peaceful time.

Kai snapped his fingers and appeared behind Cassie. "Boo!" he yelled as he suddenly placed his hands on her shoulders.

Cassie jumped and gasped in shock. "OH! you!" she twisted her body and smacked Kai. "That wasn't very nice." she told him in a sulky tone.

Kai touched his hand to his cheek. "I was just trying to have some fun..." he gave Cassie a pitiful puppy dog look.
