Alaric simply nodded at Kurtis, agreeing.
"There's no time for studies, not right now. We'll decide where we're heading once we're actually out of the area," he said simply, watching down the hallway as he spoke. He wasn't the best of planners, but he knew when the time for these things was, and now wasn't it.
He pondered lightly on an escape method though. Even if they got out of the facility, they would still need to survive the mountains. He wondered if his helicopter was still in the area?
He supposed he could try his radio once they were out, though he didn't have high hopes...

Madeline snapped, "Well no one is giving any suggestions on places to run to, are they?" She was the kind of person to think ahead. She felt comfortable planning a few steps into the future rather than just go with the flow. "But fine. Transportation. Who's good at driving over rough terrain?" Once out, they could always hijack a car. If they could just get outside, they had a chance of using cars to leave....but then they'd have to deal with the guards. "What I wouldn't give for a helicopter," she mumbled to herself.

"Tiki can drive," Connor said, and Tiki nodded in agreement. "But right now, we need to focus on getting to Hangar B. Hangar A is likely under heavier guard, but Hangar B will still be a challenge."

Alaric looked up, pondering.
"So... How do we do this? Odds are one or two of us could sneak past whatever's there, but not all of us. I imagine there's other ways of doing this though..." he said, pacing in front of the door, "Unless, of course, you wanted a full-on gunfight? I imagine our mercenary friend will be enough to protect us from a load of trained gunmen."
Sarcasm, of course. He was wondering how far his technician garb could get him, though, he doubted he'd be able to get into a hangar. Though, maybe? If not, he could at least use his technical prowess to tamper with other systems to make this easier.
While he thought, he placed his hand on his gun, checking it over, just in case this did turn into a battle...

Madeline looked from Alaric to Connor. "How about using a distraction? Once at Hangar B, we can split up. Some go get a vehicle, the others covering them." Alaric was a fake technician; perhaps he could mess with the systems.
Madeline ran her hand through her hair. Even if we had two of us distracting the majority of the guards, how would we do it? Gun fights work, but that greatly increases the chances of death in our group. Knocking out a soldier or two? Riiiight. What's the likelihood that we can pretend to be soldiers? Madeline ran through different escape routes while waiting for someone to take charge.

"Hold on," said Connor. "If we can make it outside, then come around to the service entrance without being seen, then we can get into the hangar and get a vehicle."

Alaric paced the room a bit, hand on his chin, eyes on the ground as he pondered. Should he, or shouldn't he...
He would have to, he supposed.
"... If we can make it outside at all, I have a helicopter that was expecting to pick me up... Not sure if it can fit all of us, but hell, it's an option.. Or we can go for the vehicles, too. Whichever puts us through less trouble, I suppose... Your call," he said, looking at Madeline and Connor. Connor would know the building layout better, but he trusted Madeline more.
Hand on his handgun, eyes watching glancing at it nervously while he waited for one of the two to decide, he stood. He didn't like the potential danger here... He didn't want anyone else to lose their lives over this. And if there were armed men waiting for them... It didn't seem like it would end well.
He just hoped one of them would come to the right decision... He would follow either person he needed to. He didn't trust his own luck getting out anymore...

Connor looked up. "I like that idea. If we're not in one of the lab's vehicles, then we can probably escape easier. How soon can we get picked up?"

Madeline looked over at Alaric with a half smile. "While the helicopter sounds very good, unless you can get your hands on a Bell 206, we're gonna be very cramped. Maybe an R44?..." Madeline started to think. If Alaric had gotten a helicopter, then at least one would be able to make it out - that'd be Alaric. More than likely they could fit 3 (excluding the pilot). I'm technically just a flesh bag. I'm not necessary in this endeavor. Alaric will have to be one of the passengers, so that'll leave 2 other candidates. What made this hard was that all 4 of the new people had been contaminated with this substance. They'll probably not enjoy splitting up, but if it's necessary, then at least a few of them will get to safety. We can still meet up somewhere else.
"If the helicopter can't fit us all, then we will need to split up and search for vehicles. I am in favor of your idea," she looked at Alaric, "but I'm also wary about the rooming of said helicopter. How big is it?"

"Actually, if I remember right, it's an MD 500E heli... Excluding the pilot, we'll be able to fit four of us. That should fit the majority of us, unless we all want to start sitting on each other's laps. You all can take it, tell the pilot I said it was alright, I'll try finding something else here. Never liked heights anyway," he said, his selfless nature kicking in. In his mind, he wanted to punch himself in the face for saying that, but he also knew that he was one of the people of the group better able to find his own ride around here. Or at least be able to bypass security.
He looked at the floor as he walked, thinking of ways to circumvent security measures as he did, hoping to come up with something without resorting to violence. It wasn't that he was necessarily against the idea of killing if he had to, but more that he just didn't trust his odds in this situation. Maybe there were maintenance tunnels and such, maybe he could avoid all the trouble?
He pondered all of this as he walked around, not even bothering to wait to hear an approval for his request. He was rather stubborn, and was also one to stick to his word once it was said. They'd all be getting out of here, whether they wanted to or not.
Alaric stared down the open hall, figuring out how to proceed next.

Madeline smiled at the news of the type of helicopter. "I don't see why we can't just sit on each other's--hey!" Alaric walked away chivalrously offering them his helicopter ride. She let out a sigh and walked after him. "I'll be back," she told the others.
As she caught up to Alaric, she said, "Look, I understand what you're trying to do, but can you at least wait till we're all finished thinking up plans? Maybe we'll be able to find a way to fit us all." She gave a smile. "Besides, I may end up having to run off with you."
At his raised eyebrow, she continued, "Those four are the ones with the most knowledge of the substance. They are the ones that are in dire need of escaping. You and I are unnecessary, though I believe we would make good additions to their team. Now let's go back," she grabbed his wrist and took him back in the direction of the rest of the group. "We need to come up with a solution that will get us ALL out of here."

((Time for some RP-CPR.))
The group talked briefly, and this was the consensus:
Tiki would take Connor and flee in a different vehicle. Xander would take Kurtis to the helicopter. The other two were free to choose who they traveled with, if anyone.
That decided, it fell to the other two to decide.
---
s**t just went blank for the military men.
The next day dawned. Richard and St. Cyrill were given their orders at a rather awkward breakfast between the two. They were ordered to report to a special science facility in Europe in order to report for "testing regarding the exposure to the unknown substance."

Madeline looked between the two groups and reached her internal answer. "I think I shall go with Dr. Connor and Mr. Xero. Groups of three are not difficult to work with." She also wanted to be with Dr. Connor because she had felt terrible for the way she had assumed things earlier. Perhaps I'll be able to correct my mistake here. That was only if they allowed her to go with them. If not, then it was understandable to her.

Tiki nodded and smiled. Connor groaned.
"Tiki is a horrible womanizer." Tiki punche him, but nodded. "But you're welcome aboard," Connor added.

Madeline hid a small smile behind her hand. "Thanks for the warning and invite." She looked at Connor with an embarrassed grin. "Again, I must apologize for my assumption earlier. I hope you will forgive me." She wondered if Tiki really was a womanizer, but she supposed she'd find out soon enough.
