Whatever response Strange had been expecting, it clearly hadn't been that. "...Oh. I'm sorry," he replied after a moment. Suddenly, his eyes sharpened again, and he raised an eyebrow. "And this 'trying to find someone of interest' has absolutely nothing to do with your romantic spat, does it?" A split second later, he shook his head. "It doesn't matter. If you're trying to teach your boyfriend a lesson, don't use my friends. It will get on my last nerve, and you do not want to do that. Are we clear?"

"Teach him a lesson?" Alcina questioned, looking back up at him. "What would be the point of that? If he's not going to be..." she said, then suddenly stopped herself. She paused a moment and glanced away again, gently releasing a small bit of her pheramones as she did. "I'm not looking to use anyone. I'm looking to have someone. Anyone would be able to treat me better than X at this point." she said.

The raised eyebrow went up further. "If you're looking to find a nice person to date, might I suggest waiting until everything calms down a bit? I doubt that e-Harmony is up and running at this point." Honestly. Although... she was very, very pretty. Who did she remind him of? ... Oh. Morgan LeFay. And such a kind, generous soul she had been, too. Uck.

// ....why did Morgan LeFay not cross my mind before? //
"I'd rather keep myself as busy as possible." she replied. She was trying to avoid sitting and waiting. If she had time to do that, then she'd have time to think about X. She didn't want that. She didn't want to be upset over him when whatever being was coming found him. She needed to keep herself distanced and occupied.

He noticed something distant in her expression, and put two and two together. She really was in love with the sociopath, wasn't she? Poor thing. "On your own head be it," was all he said, though there was a definite softening in his tone. What had he been doing? Not talking to gorgeous women. NO. Bad. Stopping gorgeous women from manipulating your friends... Good. Yes. Okay. She was NOT a damsel in distress. No saving necessary. "As I was saying, my friends are--without exception--completely off limits. I believe that I asked if you understood, and I believe that I failed to receive a satisfactory reply."

Alcina didn't say anything at first, nor did she look back up at him. Simply stared at the cement beside her with a bit of a distant look in her eyes. Though....she did release a bit more of her pheramones into the air. After a moment, she turned back to him to look him in the eyes again. "Yes..." she replied quietly. "...your friends are off limits..."
ENTER from Metropolis
Gold Star appeared in the air via teleportation and looked around the city. CRAP...where the heck was that school at? How did she forget? And why did all of the buildings have to look the same?
After a moment, she spotted the skinny Spider-Man with a group of others and she smiled. Bingo! He'd know where his school was, and his locker number. All she needed to do was get close enough to tap his brain, and then she could leave. She smiled and teleported herself out of the sky, and onto the ground not far from them.

He relaxed slightly. "Thank you. I--" Suddenly, his eyes went a little distant, like he was concentrating on something else. "Oh, that little..." he growled, then his eyes snapped back to the lady. "Something has come up. If you will excuse me." Without further conversation, he vanished. Good thing, too. She was... a little too attractive. And sad. The almost urge to drop everything to fix it-- 'it' being everything--well, it was a bit unnerving.
{Exit to Metropolis}
"No, seriously," Spider-man continued brightly, "I might seem like I'm making fun of how short you are, but that's only because I care. I want you to know that I'm here for you, buddy. You don't have to go through the trials and tribulations of being a pygmy with sideburns alone. Not anymo--" He stopped abruptly. Someone was watching him. Ugh. He could get really sick of this REALLY fast. Was this stalk the sixteen-year-old in tights day? ... Ew.

Gold Star's voice was soon carried out with giggling. She soon appeared a few feet away from the spider with a large smile on her face. "Funny guy. Good to see I'm not the only one you pick on." she said cheerfully.
=================================
Alcina stood there a moment and stared at where the man had once been. Well...that almost worked. Still, he said his friends were off limits. He said nothing about himself. And that would... She sighed and turned away. No. She wasn't doing this for X. If he was going to change, he'd do it himself. ....Who was she fooling. He wasn't going to change. She paused a moment and looked around. Not his friends. So that might as well just leave this universe out, and focus on the other one. Metropolis and Gotham, correct? Look around there.

Spider-man managed to avoid jumping up onto the nearest wall, but it was a really, really close thing. Instead, he crossed his arms."Oh, look. It's the crazy chick with the scythe. ... And she likes my jokes. Which makes me think I need new ones. NOW the question becomes, is the crazy chick with the scythe crazy ENOUGH to pick a fight with an older version of me, the Flash, Wolverine, Rorschach, and Ghost Rider standing right here?"
Flash zipped up for a closer look. "Oooooh. Jail bait, though. ... Well... Wait... Hold on. Isn't it supposed to be... So if I'm 23, and she's 16 or so, is that still illegal?"
"Yes," Spider-man replied tiredly, "A million times yes."

Gold Star smiled and tisked, turning her attention back to the mini spidey. She did appreciate the new bit of attention though. "You think I care about anything legal?" she asked with a smile. "And for your informaton, I'm not here to pick a fight. I've already made good with my uncle, so there's no reason for me to mess up my hair."

Spider-man's eyebrows went up at that one... not that anyone could tell. "Okay... so what do you want?" he asked, his voice caught between sounding nonplussed and annoyed.

"I'm just hear to hang out." she replied cheerfully. "Can't exactly hang out with any of the villains, so I thought you all would be just as good. Besides, you're the only one about my age that's not in school or anythng." she continued, trying to at least get the thought to cross his mind so she didn't have to pick trough it.

Unfortunately, the bit about school barely registered. There was a long, shocked pause. "... YOU TRIED TO KILL ME. With a SCYTHE. MULTIPLE TIMES. Contrary to popular belief, I do have certain standards. Also, we happen to be in the middle of, you know, dealing with something. Because we're superheroes. The exact OPPOSITE of what you are. Even if I wanted to hang out with you--and again, I would rather eat glass-- we're busy. Shoo." With this, he made the obligatory shooing motion with his hand.

Star pause a moment, staring at him with her smile still frozen on her face. "That so..." Then she moved her arm up and had the palm of her hand aimed at the window of a nearby car. She then crunched her hand into a fist, and the sound of breaking glass rang out. "Well, if you're hungry, I'd be happy to treat you?" she said cheerfully. She let her arm drop, as well as the broken glass to show that she was simply jokeing. Now she needed to stall while she picked the boys brain...since he didn't think of anything. "Besides, you really trust me to be out and about on my own while you're all 'busy'?" she asked.

Spider-man just glared, since the obvious answer was 'no'. "So you ARE picking a fight? Lady, I will happily kick you in the face again. Just say the word. Really. Nothing would make me happier. I am very, very frustrated right now, and knocking you into next week would be EXTREMELY therapeutic."
Flash blinked. "You kicked her in the face?"
"And enjoyed it," Spider-man replied without hesitation.
