Hearing a tree break and fall, Reaver knew it had to have been Jagger. He goes and walks to her. He says to her,
"Damon isn't right about any of that. You can feel love. You care for other's. And you feel regret. You feel like the rest of us. That is why you cry like the rest of us. And you are not alone in this world. You have Alexander. You have me. I know I'm around Damon most of the time, but I've been trying to help her. She is bline to anything except her own need for vengeance. I am sorry for all of that."
Reaver is shocked at Damon. She hurt more than just Jagger. She hurt Alexander. And she hurt him. Her rage has caused him to leave. He doesn't think he's going to be helping Damon anymore.

Jagger's eyes widened as Reaver spoke.She quickly looked away,hiding her face."I'm sorry you have to see me like this.How embarrassing."she said rising to her feet and wiping her eyes."'Tears are for the weak' as Hades once said.So I should not shed a tear over the truth.How stupid of me.You don't need to apologize.It's not your fault."she said,acting happy.

Reaver says,
"It isn't something to be ashamed of, crying. It is just how you express yourself. The strongest of men cry. I cry. Do you consider me weak? And it is, in part, my fault. I wasn't fast enough to stop Damon."
He suddenly feels the urge to change for some reason, as he hasn't changed for a few days. He says again, in the eyes of the wolf,
"You don't mind if I speak like this, do you? I haven't changed in days. It helps me experience freedom, at least symbolically."

Jagger looked at Reaver and sighed."She was not your responsibility.Therefore,you do not need to take the fall for her actions." she said then smiled."Not at all. I'm sorry you got puled into all of this.This was not your battle to fight...Damon just wanted to bring someone down with her."

Reaver, with intellignece shining in the eyes of the wolf, says,
"I must take responsibility, not because it was my fault, but because I could have prevented it. I must ask, but have you ever heard of the saying, "every saint has a past, and every sinner a future"? Every good person has done something horrible in the past. A perfect example is the Pope. Did you know, he was once a nazi? And reformed criminals often come out to help the society the once hurt. And no one pulled me into this, I dragged myself in."

Jagger raised her hand and scratched the top of Reaver's head with her fingernails."She only said words,Reaver.No damage done that I can't handle.Damon believed she could hurt me...And she was right."she said as a tear rolled down her cheek.

Reaver says,
"Words can hurt just as much as a sword, if you use the right ones. She knows she can't kill you with brute force, so she is going to try to kill you by removing what is on the inside, and make you want to die. I hope none of that happens. you won't be so fun to be around anymore."
He usually doesn't like being scratched while in his wolf form, but he doesn't mind now. He sits down next to Jagger and just lies there, like a dog would next to it's master.

Jagger sighed."I believe a sword would feel better than this..Do you know what we meant when we spoke of a 'claim'?" she asked him as she absentmindedly played with his ears.

"When a vengence is this strong,one must place a claim on the one they...WANT.Since I did not place a claim on Alexander in time.Damon...'took' him from me.It's very complicated.In shorter words,the claim means taking a side.But,we don't even know if the vengence is strong enough.And,I wasn't going to force Alexander to choose my side.I wasn't going to force anyone on my side,because no one should be brought into this."Jagger sighed then looked at the stars."Damon has really out done herself this time."

Reaver says to her, sensing how hurt she is,
"Well, I'm on your side. Damon never claimed me. She is more heartless than I thought she was, hurting me, Alexander, and you. I'm not going to help someone like that. I trust you more, even knowing what you have done."
He then looks up at the stars with her. He says,
"If you have to, you can claim me. If it's willing, it's not so bad, is it? I agree to help you, and protect you, until which time I am unneeded. But I shall not serve Damon willinigly again. Trust me on that."

Jagger looked at Reaver with shocked eyes."Reaver,I wouldn't do that to you.Besides,she hasn't...exactly placed a claim on Alexander,I believe she only kissed him to hurt me..But,it didn't work, of course because being hurt over something like that requires one to love and I don't need to love. I have other things on my mind."she said...Yet she knew she was lying to herself and Reaver.She was hurt when Damon and Alexander kissed.

Reaver looks up, to look at Jagger. He says,
"Everyone needs love. I don't believe you are an acception. And I knew you were hurt when they kissed. I could see it, behind the facade you were trying to put on. Being as experienced as me helps, you know."

Jagger glanced at Reaver then sighed.She rose to her feet and kept her back to Reaver."I do not need love..That is the mistake Damon always makes..she tries to fall in love,but loses that person in the end..Tell her that.Maybe she'll take it to heart."she said with a deadly voice.Then she began to walk away.
